Thoughts on BLT December 2013 Waitlist?

I have 12/2 and 12/4 in a 2BR theme park view. I have 12/1 and 12/3 waitlisted. I have been on the waitlist for about five weeks. I messed up and miscalculated the 7 month window and I'm a BLT owner! In any case, just wondering what your thoughts may be as far as if either or both of those dates may become available. Hoping that as GF opens up people may move?
It's my son's birthday and we're trying to schedule a 2nd birthday trip!

You should book cash reservation as a backup so your trip is not ruined. You should place another wait list for the VGF.

In general, people cancel just before the 31 days mark... because there is no penalty to cancel until then. They just hold on to a reservation and make their decision later. So you may have to wait until end of October or early November to find out.

I have a standard studio for some of those nights- I am thinking about moving that to GFV if it is available with those points when the non-member opens up. I already have a reservation at GFV for opening day so it is just a wish but I am not willing to borrow my GFV points for it.

I had a wl for the 4th thru the 8th on a studio lake view. Changed it 2 weeks ago to 2 nites the 4th and 5th and 2 nites over at BWV.
Sunday (after only 2 weeks) my wl came thru on BLT. very surprised and happy. Now I put in a new wl for theme park view. Moving up slowly !
Of course all this was backed up by 4 nights at OKW originally.
First wl experience and I gotta say they work . Hang in there and good luck

Thanks! Ill just keep stalking the dvc member website. I'm just getting nervous even though its 5 1/2 months away. We're bringing my parents for the first time which is causing me to worry more. If it was just my family, it would less of an issue. I hate to give up the two nights I have but it would probably be easier to get lake view. Wish we could have more than two waitlists!

A little hope! I need Sunday and Tuesday - those aren't available but Wednesday and Thursday are. This gives me a glimmer of hope in the next five and a half months that something could come through!! Fingers crossed!

I got my BLT 2BR TV today!!!! Granted it was only for 1 night (12/6-12/7) but we're doing MVMCP that night so proximity to MK was a must instead of traveling from AKV.

Congrats. I waitlisted for same reason on the 4th and 5th (MVMCP 5th) and our studio came thru a little bit ago.

One of my two days (Tuesday - the more important one) came through around 11am today as well!! I was starting to panic a little. Congrats to you both for waitlists coming through. Such a relief!!
Now to just get Sunday night

Got the Sunday night Friday! And booked a single night in AKL value 2br the night before. Hotel plans now set! If I could only get dining reservations

glad you got the nights! That's a super tough few days because the MK is generally busier for Walts birthday and its the weekend they film the Christmas parade for TV.
So happy for you that you were successful!! Have a blast. We will be there the following week!
