Thoughts on best parks plan

im a very indecisive person. We went last January for the first time in many years and took one day as a no park day and didn't have hoppers. We've decided that this time we would like hoppers. Will either plan a rest day or two (will be there 7 full days) or get tickets for all 7 days and take it a little more slowly each day. However, I can't decide which plan would be best.

My first thought was make FP for the park in the afternoon (go in maybe 3/4). In the morning we would go early, ride a couple headliners at a different park than evening plans, then leave about 11 to relax at the resort. This would make our evening park our "major" park of the day.

Then I thought with it being May it would be warm. Still do fp in the evening, but make them for later and just go do those rides and maybe see the evening show/fireworks. We'd spend most the morning in another park until about 2 (would be our major park that day) then head back making FP for 6 and on. That way we would miss hottest part of day. This IMO seems best to me if we are only going to get 5 day tickets.

Then i was thinking of pretty much option 2, but make FP for the afternoon(all before 3). My thoughts though would be riding would be hard going into a different park at 6 with no FP. We would most likely only be able to enjoy shows, but that way we aren't pressured to do anything in the evening. If some are tired, they can stay back. This would probably be best IMO if we decide on getting 7 day tickets.

I guess I'm mostly just throwing my thoughts out there to see what others think. I know there is no right or wrong and everyone has their own way of doing things, just wondering what the veterans of Disney think.

I think this ^^^would make for the most relaxing trip. We are park commandos typically going from rope drop til fireworks most days. We get hoppers so that we have the option to change parks mid-day or make dining plans at a different park from where we spent the most of our day. However, we don't usually make the most of the "hopper" experience because we are having so much fun that we don't want to make a change! :D Our typical "hops" are on HS and AK days which are our least favorite parks.

On my most recent trip, we got to the parks about 30-45 min before rope drop. rode a bunch of stuff with minimal lines then had fp+ lined up for between 11-1. We then left to nap/rest etc. we returned in evening and it was relaxing because we had already ridden everything we absolutely had to ride.
