Thoughts on AUG BSM 8/16??

So my son and I are booked on the 8/16 BSM. I know it’s just speculation but what are people’s thoughts on the likelihood of this trip happening? I believe WDW is restarting tours next month but as DL still doesn’t have an opening date ..

Hi - it’s really impossible to speculate right now; that is too far into the future. As of last week, the governor is not budging on his large theme park Guidelines which require the virus to be virtually gone in the county where the parks are located before it can look to reopen. Hard to say if he will continue to take the hard stance. The County where DLR is located has to drop two more tiers (the governor’s virus rating system) to get to where it needs to be, and it’s not yet close to dropping one let alone the required two.

So hard to say if it will still be the same Requirements after we get through the winter & the surges now being seen in many parts of the country. I think we need to get through that before he will even look to possibly requiring a drop of one tier rather than the two. And the people in that county need to do their part to help their numbers go down as much as possible.

Then there’s the vaccine & it’s availability which is unknown & could also be a factor.

It might be easier to offer a guess in the spring.
