So we are traveling next week with me (dad) my kids daughter 11, son's , 18, 16, 13, 2 and nieces 8, and 3. Plus my sister and parents. We are staying off site at house at one of closest spots off site to park. Goal is for all.kids to have fun (my teens are very supportive of making sure the little ones have fun and are ok with doing little kid things )

We arrive this Thursday at 2, plan is to to get supplies and stuff and just swim

Friday -magic kingdom for opening. It's an emh, which we aren't able to participate in but still thought we should start at MK to Make kids happy
However need to go to guest relations to get DAS pass so that will slow us from rushing to rides. Which part of park should we start in. (We have a few passes scheduled that day. ) Winnie the pooh at 1030 , Peter pan at 430 (if needed ) space mountain 1:30

Saturday -epcot. Thinking of doing character dining. Looks like available at the garden grill. Few random fast passes

Sunday -animal kingdom- have fast passes 830 safari , dinosaur, and everest , some will leave early to watch superb owl

Monday-magic kingdom , few random fast passes

Tuesday - Hollywood Studios , fast passes for TOT, rocking roller coaster and I think Disney Junior (just selected to fill it out)

WED- OPEN. possibly another disney day or my sister wants to go universal
Thursday -sister and parents fly our , we go to Miami for a few days

Tuesday 16th kids and I back to stay on site , go to epcot in early afternoon and sTay for EMH, (will we even want to go back to epcot or or maybe MK instead

Wed 17th - Magic Kingdom. All day.

So how much work and time is it to leave park mid day on our days at MK for rest for the little ones ? My little one sleeps good in stroller normally so not sure of need to go back. My kids are like to go go, but worried my nieces will tire easier as they arent on the go like my kids ?

Sorry so long , interested in your thoughts

Usually the best place to start is either Frontierland or Tomorrowland. Go to Universal Wednesday, it's worth going to. Tuesday do whatever you feel like doing considering attractions you missed before. I don't think it's really worth it to leave mid day and probably not necessary in your case. Enjoy the superb owl! It flies better than any other

So not fantasy land? Should I change my Winnie the pooh time to later then? Do you guys use touring plans? I've been playing it with it and just wondered if it's worth taking the time to do

Usually Frontierland or Tomorrowland have lower crowds earlier on as a lot of people go to fantasyland, but you could try fantasyland if you like and check the wait times (might not be too bad early on, we've done that before too). We don't use touring plans

Although you cannot participate in EMH, I would suggest getting to MK early on your first day to get the DAS. That way, you can straight into MK when it opens to off-site guests.

So I can get the pass prior to park opening ?

Yes, just go to the guest relations window that is located outside of the park. When you get off the monorail or ferry boat, you will see the ticket windows and guest relations to the right as you approach the entrance to MK.

Can we enter the park early during emh and not ride ? How does that work

No.

Thank you. I didn't know guest relations was outside of park. Much appreciated

I think with those little ones, it's a good idea to start off with things they won't find too scary.

I'd recommend starting in Fantasyland, and if you didn't have FP+ for Peter Pan and Pooh, I would suggest starting with those two. As it is, then, I would suggest starting with the Little Mermaid ride and Dumbo, then possibly the Barnstormer (to see how the younger kids are going to handle roller-coasters). There is a 38" height requirement for it, so probably the 2 and 3 year-olds can't ride it.

You might then hit It's a Small World as the waits can build for it by late morning. There is never much wait for the Carousel or for Mickey's PhilHarmgic, and those are two more Fantasyland attractions that can be enjoyed by all.

You're going to want to do 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and Enchanted Tales with Belle with FP+, and perhaps you can get those for a later Magic Kingdom day?

By afternoon, wait times will be bad for the major attractions, but in Tomorrowland you could do the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Monters Inc Laugh Floor, and the Carousel of Progress without much wait. Could also ride the Railroad around the park. In Frontierland, might consider taking the raft over to Tom Sawyer's Island to let the kids run off some steam. Our grandkids always enjoy exploring the fort on the island.

Thanks for the great tips !!! Does anyone know if there is an anna and elsa meet an greet at Norway still ? Was just able to book my sister and the girls a breakfast at epcot at 945 and thought maybe after that they would have a chance to get to the meet and greet since the countries don't open till 11. Thanks

Anna and Elsa meet at Magic Kingdom, at least for now. They do have a FP+ for them but those usually go quickly. You could try looking for any discarded FP the day before.

I belive it's Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White at Akershus?

It sounds like you have a good plan. Don't try to do everything. Choose a couple favorites each day and consider everything else a bonus. A few random thoughts...

The DAS changed to all electronic a year or two ago and is no longer for mobility impairment. Hop over to the disAbilities board for tons of info. If you qualify, the pass will allow your whole party to return later for any ride or M&G that offer FP+, including A&E and 7dMT, but not parades or fireworks.

Taking a break during the day and returning later never worked for our family. It takes forever to get a large party together and walk all the way out of the park, trams, driving, etc. We usually arrive around noon, go all day, and shut the park down (yes, even when the kids were 2 & 5). Not everyone does rope drop. Figure out what works best for your family.

Don't be afraid to split up. Let the big kids go on ToT while the little ones do the Disney Jr show. Also great idea if some want to go back to rest, sleep in one morning, or turn in early while others spend more time at the parks. Everyone will be happier.

Kevin, elsa/anna are in MK, right next to Sir Mickey's gift shop. if you don't have FP for them, i would go there first in the morning as soon as the park opens. going to wait 30+ minutes
