IF the phone has the button. I can attest that it is no longer there on all phones. Though I can't recall now where I've seen it and where I've not seen it.
Good to know, thanks for clarifying. Whether the phone has the button or not, I would still say that phoning in a housekeeping related request or issue is still the best course of action. Even if you reach a call center, they should have a process for executing those requests and getting them to the right place. IMO, telling the front desk agent in person runs a greater risk of the request getting forgotten about or lost in the shuffle, particularly if they are busy.As noted in previous responses, this is no longer an option at many resorts as they have eliminated the housekeeping button. There is no housekeeping button at RIV for instance.
Ok... sounds like we agree then. I was just clarifying my point since it wasn't really about how compensation works.That's why my post said "would have had to have happened at the time of occurrence ... most certainly would not refund two months later."
