OK... so we will arrive at WDW just in time to check in and head over to dinner at 1900 Park Fare. My thought is to head over to MK as soon as we finish dinner and get in line to meet the Pixie Hollow fairies........ My hope is to get this out of the way so we don't waste valuable time the next day on our first "full day" in the park. Any thoughts? Does this make sense or is there a better way? I do not want to spend morning park time waiting to meet fairies.... way more stuff to be doing! But, I know my three DD's will absolutely want to do this.

Also... Pixie Hollow is at the Judge's Tent, right?

Least time spent in line is likely if you arrive before 9:40AM and wait for the Toontown Rope drop (which will happen at 9:45AM.)

I waited maybe 20 minutes to see the fairies last year just after Wishes-as soon as the show was over we made a mad dash to Toontown. Before that the wait times were outrageous!

Thanks guys! Anybody else got other thoughts? I just REALLY don't want to spend morning time waiting for RD at Toontown of all places.

We were there last year and waited 30 minutes midday. It was a really nice break from the heat :)

That may work, it depends on how crowded the park is and when Toontown closes. Sometimes it closes before the fireworks even if the rest of the park is still open. If you don't mind missing SpectroMagic or saving Wishes for another night, I would head over to Toontown during those, there are usually very short wait times. However, you can still see and hear the fireworks from Toontown. (When we go, my mom HAS to see Tink fly so we can't be anywhere but Main Street!) Just beware. The times posted are real. Working at Disney, I saw a ton of Guests saying "O, those can't be real, it will go much faster!!) 90 minutes later they came out grumbling. So keep that in mind. Good luck though, the fairies are fun to visit and Pixie Hollow is a awesome experience!!!!
Have a Magical Day!!!

We got to Toontown rope drop at 9:40 on Thursday, were one of the first 10 or so families in line and waited about 10-15 minutes. After than, we got into the princess line and waited 10 more minutes. We were done and out of Toontown by 10:30! It was worth it for us to wait, but we were also there on an EMH morning, so we had already done a ton of rides and were ready for a break (oh, and it was FREEZING outside, so we escaped the cold for a while too! :) )

As pp's said, get to toontown rope drop prior to 9:40 am...that is your best chance for a short line..15 minutes or so.By the time you come out, line will be at least 75 min and probably will stay that day all day and into the evening.

The fairies were the longest line I waited in Sept. 75 minutes!!! In Sept, where most were 10 minutes or less. Peter Pan was at most 40 minutes. The fairies at 10:30 AM were 75 minutes! Anyhow, I recommend being there at 9:40/9:45. It's unsure how crowded they will be until you get there. I think anytime except parade/fireworks times/first thing can be crowded. However, you can always go there when you get there and if the line is super crowded, then you can go first thing the next day.

Yep, in the Judge's tent, right next to the Princesses.

From my experience this week...get there early. Period. We were there for 'rope drop' on Tues and the wait was minimal (~15 minutes), but there were only 2 fairies there (Fawn and Tink). :( Today....errr, yesterday, there were 3 fairies ~30 minutes after 'rope drop', but the wait was ~45 minutes (listed as 60 minutes). We saw Rosetta, Tink and Silver Mist today.

Going ANYTIME other than rope drop is going to be hit or miss. If you get to the rope at toontown at 9:35, stand on the left side of the rope, park your stroller OUTSIDE toontown and stay right behind the CM escorting guests to the fairies, you'll be done with pixie hollow by 9:55 - if you go any other time, including after or during wishes, you run a very big risk of waiting anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. We did it the way I mentioned above - Becky was the first in to see Tinkerbell. I really recommend you just enter the park, grab a ride on dumbo and maybe pooh, stand at the rope for 10 minutes and get it over with. If you miss Pixie Hollow, it could be 3 years before there's another Meet & Greet with Tink. Toontown will be closed - most likely early fall, for a major remake of that park of MK.

Just luck of the draw...Becky was first in and the CM said it was only Tink and Terrance, but while she was chatting with Tink, Rosetta arrived.
