Those using swagbucks ???

I used the Tax Act offer but it didn't credit. I contacted sb and within an hour they had credited me 1,000 sb! I don't like putting in too many help requests but they're pretty good about resolving them quickly.

Why is it annoying? It's likely determined by what their ad revenue supports.

I meant its annoying for you lot who live in the US and are having your SB reduced on SBTV to bring in line with the rest of the world. I personally don't know any different so i'm happy with anything I can earn.

What I would like is the discount on the 1st gift card purchased with SB every month but we don't have that offer, although we do get the odd sale

That's good to know. I plan on doing mine with tax act again this year. I think sb pays out better on it than mypoints but I need to figure out what it pays with paying the state return on both. Just wish my last two pieces of paperwork I need would come.

I don't use mypoints but it's 34% back and I paid $14 for federal and state so for me swagbucks was better.

To get the Shop and Earn to credit, I had to open a new tab and type the name of a merchant in the new tab. Then the blue banner popped up and I could click Activate. The store that worked for me was Gap and Nike for my husband. Using the swagbutton did not work and it took several tries for me to find a store that worked.

Thanks for the response...I wonder what is considered proof? It's been less than a week since they each started their accounts. They may decide it's not worth the bother if they have to prove their existence. And neither one of them do Facebook. I'll see if my son wants to try emailing them when he gets home from school.

From a friend and his roommates having accounts deactivated, they each finally had to email them a photocopy of state issued ID to get accounts reactivated. This was two, closer to three years ago though. Don't know what has changed.

My second goal was jacked way up. Second goal was 170-180 per day, and that is what I was doing. Last two days it has been 250. Nope, not doing that. Back to the first goal only plus 10-20.

Question for those that have been using Swagbucks for a while...should I cash out for giftcards often or can I acquire a good sized chunk before I do so? I am already past $100 worth and am debating whether to cash out now or wait for a larger gift card. Any input is appreciated!

I don't trust rewards sites to remain consistent. Those 100K SB might get you a $100 GC today and then without warning, it might only get you $75 in GCs tomorrow.

Not only that, but your account could get frozen, hacked canceled or otherwise compromised. Or SB could fold completely without warning. So, I prefer to cash out as soon as I have enough for whatever goal I had set for myself. For me, that would be $25 PayPal.

Cash out often. Sb could go under or you could get banned.

thanks. I've tried like 50 stores on the swagbutton and none have worked. I'll try the new tab thing.

Question?
I booked a hotel using the swagbutton through travelocity and one through expedia...both purchases appear in my ledger for shop & earn but they both have 0 for pending points for purchase as well as when it will credit (while the rest of the purchases I have made all show amount of purchase, pending SB, and when it will pay).

Anyone have this happen to them? Not sure why they would have 0 points pending as they are both prepaid stays like my rental car that shows up with amount purchase, pending SB and when it will reward.

I am thinking of cancelling...the only reason I booked through these 2 companies as the offer of 8 SB per $...which would offset my trip when I am not not earning any points.

I have heard of people who bank their points only to open up SB the next day and all the points gone...never to be recovered. So I have taken the advice here and cashed out as soon as I hit a $25 mark. I usually try to hold off until the first of the money when target cards usually are on sale...for at least 1 card...but I am totally new at this and I would listen to words of advice from the SB vets here.

I have learned so much and in 3 months have $250 towards my next trip in November...and that is not investing a lot of time into SB other than to meet my daily goal and if I have time a little more...I try to get between 100-150 points a day and that makes me happy.

I think I have a major crush on LTG...why have I not used him before. Thanks for the advice.

My DH and I like to use the same device to run the apps. He runs his first and then I run mine. I know it would be quicker to run them on separate devices, but this is what we prefer. Is there any way to keep the favorites when we switch accounts?

Two accounts on the same ip address seems like a bad move. SB may assume it's one person with two accounts.

I had no idea. I created my account on our laptop that we share and was using my iPhone to run the apps, but I found that I needed to have my phone available so I have begun running them on an old iPhone we had lying around. My DH created his account on our laptop and began using the old iPhone to run the apps. (Funny thing is when he made his account, I didn't even know about referrals, so no need for them to think anyone made two accounts for that reason.) Our accounts have two different email addresses. So you're saying because we created the accounts on the same device, there could be trouble? I never even thought about that.

Using the accounts on the same device can be a problem from what I've read.
