I was wondering what items were a must to take and items that you didn't really need to take, especially with a 4 year old. Any suggestions on what you really wished you would have had??

Thanks, Susan

Bottle water. I hate paying 1.50 for water when I can but a case for 3.88 at Walmart and Fl waterr is awful.
I put the kids outfits in plastic bags so all they had to do was grab a bag and everything was in it including hairbow. Made the morning really easy and husband could still dress them and I didn't hear he didn't know what went with what. I'm sure there is more, but that's it for now

Did you all drive down? We are flying so not sure about the bottled water.

We did drive, but some people do have things delivered to thier room from a local store. I don't know if that is something you would want to do. We just drink a lot of water. We were on the dining plan so we tried not to do to much out of our pockets when it came to food. We would keept the water in the fridge and then just put a couple in our backpack for the day. You guys are going to have so much fun. Where are you staying and dining? Our first trip was last year it was amazing and we are taking our second trip Oct 2008. My husband said it will be our last for awhile we want to do Washington, NY, and Chicago. I hope my husband and I can do an anniversary trip within the next few years.

We are staying at Pop Century, it's me my husband our 4 yr old daughter and my parents. We're all excited! I went when I was 18 and I'm 40 now and they have never been. This will be our only trip for while, DD starts school next year so we wanted to go ahead and go.

Thanks, Susan

Don't bring a swim vest...you can borrow one at your resort and save the room in your bag. I find it very helpful to bring a couple sippy cups and a supply of familiar snacks from home and small soft sided cooler bag so I can carry juice and snacks. It's ok to carry in the parks and will come in handy when you don't have to hunt down an appropriate snack or drink every time. Also, a small package of diaper wipes will come in handy and takes up hardly any room. Have a great trip....its coming up quick!

We loved POP. Hand wipes are a must, great for a quick clean up. Big pen for autograph books, Change for laundry if you think you will need it, if you are not planning on doing laundry then a stain stick to keep stains out till you get home.

Instead of bringing our own bottled water, we bring those single Crystal Lite (except we buy the much cheaper WalMart brand) drink mix things. We refill the water bottles at drinking fountains, add the powder and voila! Drinkable water! DD7 and DS4 liked the fruit punch, lemonade and orange flavors. Our last trip was in Feb and I bought a cheap umbrella stroller ($11 or $12 at WM) for each kid. Even though they were WAY too big for the strollers, the kids stayed happy a lot longer and whined a lot less than if they had walked the entire time. The cheap strollers held up fine and we just left them at Pop when we got on the bus to go back to the airport.

Speaking of Pop, my kids LOVED this silly little parade they had at the food court every night ~5:30pm. They loved it so much we had to arrange our schedule so we could do the parade three times. (They got a musical instrument to play while they paraded around and then received a magical moments certificate and a small prize.) Pop had lots of other kid activities as well. We've stayed there twice and the kids love it so much we'll probably never stay anywhere else until they're much older. Have fun!!!!!!
