those of you with Disney Visa Premiere

I have it but I'll be downgrading before the fee is due again. My Amex Preferred card works out much better in my situation. Disney Gift cards at 6% cash back FTW.

I like it. Like others have said, there are cards with better rewards, but...

1. I like having Mickey in my wallet. It makes me happy.
2. I like knowing that because I'm earning rewards I always have a Disney trip "upcoming."

At this point I pretty much only use it for the 2% categories though - groceries, gas and Disney.

We have the card and love it. We use it as much as possible to earn those Disney Dollars. After about a year or so of use, we had $700 for our vacation last October! I would get one for sure if you go to Disney often.

Disney card isn't very good at all.

I use quicken so I have ALL our purchases categorized. I analyzed the amount we spend on groceries in a year. Considering you can always get 1% back with just about any card, the extra 1% just barely covered the annual fee of the card.

That said the rewards on the card aren't even as good as they used to be. They used to have promotions where you get 5% back on a category for a month. They stopped that now and have the premier card.

We had $750 Disney dollars saved up since we got the card in 2008 and used that to buy one of our tickets. Been spending on the card for everything this year, but only up until we go in may.

After that...I will just keep the account open for the photo-session.

I got mine and received a 200.00 statement credit after first time use, that was nice. :thumbsup2
We use it for all 2% items, after a month's use we have 25.00 worth of Disney Dollars already. My goal is to have enough for a character meal on our trip in December. :goodvibes

We love our Disney card. Always get comments on my pink card too!
We put everything on it and we've had about $350 for our trips every 6 months. $700 is rewards? Yes, thank you! :)

I would agree. I have the regular Disney Visa and had not signed up for the Premiere one until I found the $200 Gift card offer in the Disney Insider e-mail. After the fee I am still $151 ahead.

Just a heads up they will charge the $49 fee 5 months before your year is up. So for example we signed up in August and we are charged the $49 fee every March

thanks, I am going to check out the small print. I signed up in Novermber 2013 and the $49 fee was charged in December. I assumed the fee should cover until November 2014.

Did you sign up with an offer for one year "free" ? I could see if they charged you several months early as other posters mentioned but a month after signing up?

We just switched to the Barclays arrival card also. The 2x points on all purchases can't be beat.

I like the fact that we can use the rewards to pay for airfare on any airline with no blackout dates. Worked like a charm. Found decent airfare on Jet Blue for our preferred dates and times. Charged it to the card and then logged into my account and transferred the reward dollars over to pay for it.

I agree. I don't feel the values of FF miles are there anymore. We have a ton of United miles but many times have to use more than the typical saver fares to get Tickets. This gives us a whole new option.

Define a ton.

I don't want to disagree with you here, but with a little planning, FF miles can take you around the world fairly easily.

Still, if you are looking for super simple and don't have a lot of flexibility, fixed rate programs like Arrival can be the way to go. Personally, I like to have some from column A and and some for column B.

I agree with you to have a little for both. We have almost 500,000 miles on United currently. Last year, at the first day able to book in advance for spring break trip had to use 50,000 miles for a normal 25,000 trip to get 4 tickets. We have used a lot of advance planning but sometimes with certain routes it just doesn't work.
