Those of you who cancelled AAA for Free Dining

I cancelled my AAA package & made my own ressie thru CRO & saved about $1000 by doing so. My TA is not in the office so I spoke with the office manager to cancel. After a long time on hold it was cancelled & I was told a full refund would be credited back to my card.

I did not get a cancellation # or anything like that. If you cancelled, how did you know it was really done? I can wait for 2 billing cycles to go by & see the credit, but was just wondering what other AAA offices do? Thanks

Why wait that long? Either sign up to see your account online, or if you can't do that with this particular card, just call the number on the back of your card in a couple of days to be sure it has posted as a credit, if it hasn't by the end of the week, call AAA back.

I also cancelled my ressies with AAA. I was not able to get in touch with my agent, so I just spoke with whoever answered the phone. She cancelled the ressies with no problem and told me the deposit would be credited back to my card. I did not receive any confirmation # either.

AAA TA just made the switch on my original reservation. I lost their discount but didn't actually have to cancel anything.

Long story... I had a problem getting my questions answered (phone calls & emails were not returned) & the TA is always out of the office..I was glad to do it on my own with CRO.

Hi, I did the same thing as you, Pooch. She just took off my AAA rate, added the dining. I saved some money (actually, I spent a little more because I ended up staying an extra night! ), and still have the same confirmation #, etc. I thought I would have to cancel the whole deal.
