Those of you from New Jersey

I have lived in NJ all of my life and have never even met people like the ones on these shows. Often they tend to be more from North Jersey than central or south jersey but even so....I have never encountered people who talk, dress, act like as ridiculous as the people on these reality shows do.

I've seen a few of those shows and to me they seem more like the NY Metropolitan area, not just New Jersey. They could be from Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens etc. Don't see why New Jersey should get the bad rep from these shows.

I can't believe how stupid and childish they all act.

Haha you just nailed my ex-boyfriend's family... from Queens then moved to NJ! Just as much drama, less cash!

I live in Brooklyn and I'm happy to report that the guidos/guidettes all seem to be moving out of NYC to South Jersey, usually via Staten Island. Yay!



I had to google "benny" and wow I learned something new: The origin of the term remains the source of some debate. It has been correctly described an acronym for the names of the cities along the North Jersey Coast Line: Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark, and New York.

I love about 20 minutes from Theresa and thankfully dont know any Jersey girls like that.

I think every decade has had their versions of "snookie' that gown down the shore

I've never seen any of the shows except for Real Housewives of NJ. I live in a small town in southern NJ and there are a lot of people with money. Personally I know of a few women who could/would probably star in a show like that....it would be right up their alley. I am friends with one of them and could totally see it. BUT most of us, are NOT like that and would have no interest in being involved in a show like that.

The people I referred to don't necessarily act/talk like the ones on the show but they throw money around like they do.
