I have never been this time of year and I am really hoping for low crowds. I need to break my new hubby in slowly. LOL :rotfl:

We just got back on Thursday. It was kind of busy at the start of our week but that was mainly due to the marathon. By Monday/Tuesday alot of people had left.
Actually, on Wednesday we went to Magic Kingdom and were able to walk right on to some of the more popular rides.
We were there last year more towards the end of January and it wasn't crowded at all.

We just got back and had a great time! The wait times most of the week were 0-20 min. Sat and Sunday the parks were much more crowded with wait times 10-90 min (Sarin had a huge wait and at 10 am the fast past return time was 3:45! The weather was great. I will never go in the summer again after this trip!

I agree- this weekend was NUTS!!! We just got back last night from a 4day weekend at CBR and the crowds were almost July worthy IMO. We had a game plan so we really didn't wait long for much that we HAD to ride, but by afternoon we wanted out of the parks because they were so crowded. Fantasmic was at CAPICITY level on monday night.
We usually go the next week but because I am in school I couldn't spare the time off- and we have gone in the past on MLK weekend but no crowds compared to this. For the most part on non-holiday weekends-weeks- you can get away with really low attendence in Jan and Feb and even March- but forget April (Spring break) but our fav resort WL was booked for this weekend and we couldn't get in (maybe that should have been a sign). May was nice too in past years. I didn't want to complain because it was just nice to get away, but I think the best time we had with crowds (or lack there of) had to be in late September. We were there in Sept the year before last and it was quite nice. Yes there were hurricanes to contend with but the crowds were low, the weather was BEAUTIFUL (warm, sunny and not really as humid as dead of summer) and we just kept a wide eye on the weather forcasts. We were also able to help out some of the local hurricane victims by bringing much needed supplies in our "spare luggage" which would be filled with souviners and stuff on the return trip. Felt like we were trying to keep the tourist industry alive and help some "poor unfortunate souls" that lost everything in the hurricanes.

(Sorry so rammy- Still on the Disney high from the trip)

We were there last week. Crowds were heavier than they have been the last few Januarys, but they were manageable. MK was the busiest by far. There were quite a few large tour groups as well.

We were there 1/7-1/15/06 and I thought it was more crowded than when we were there last year from 1/8-1/15/05.

We were there last week. We went to the Magic Kingdom on Tuesday and Epcot on Wednesday. We walked on to everything. It was great.

The only thing we took a FastPass for was Soarin' (after we had already walked on in the morning). The weather was fantastic and all in all it was a great week.

Oh, I hope there is no marathon or anything happening this upcoming week. I am keeping my fingers crossed for low crowds. LOL I have been the week after Thanksgiving and have been the only ones on the bus-lovely. I have been those awfully PACKED times as well-YIKES!!

You should be fine with the crowds now, there is nothing major scheduled.
I will definelty do Disnay in January every year as the weather is good, and if you don't go during the marathon it isn't very crowded.
Teachers will hate me, but I would much rather have my son miss some school than wait hours in line.
When I was in grade 5 and my mother wanted to take me on a trip my teacher was so excited as she liked to travel herself.
Travelling can be a learning experience. Epcot for example you can learn about all other countries and cultures.

Thank you all!

I feel so encouraged!! The ten day forcast also shows promising weather!

YEA!!!!!!!! :cool1:
