Those going Halloween week are you worried about crowds?

With all of the talk on another thread that October, thus far has been insanely crowded, comparing it to spring break and even summer. What do you think it will be like at the end of October?

We are going 10/27 - 11/4 with MNSSHP on the 30th. In picking those dates, I thought I was going at a good time. Wondering a bit now.

We have been going the end of Oct. for the last four years. While it isn't "dead," it isn't miserable. We have never had summer waits. I think it's hard to judge by some of the other threads because it was during the end of free dining and Columbus Day weekend. I know it may not sound like much, but it can make a huge difference. Also, you have to look at when most schools have fall break. I think you will have a wonderful time! :goodvibes We are planning on doing some EMH and taking advantage of FP.

Have a wonderful time! :cool1:

We are just doing MK for the day on Nov. 2nd. EMH in the AM and hoping it won't be too bad the rest of the day. We're taking my DBF DGS while his mom is in the hospital having the new baby! :goodvibes

We'll be there the 29th - 5th and I'm expecting some crowds but having been there over Easter I'm hoping crowds will be less in Oct. For me part of the fun in the interaction with other people, just not 90 min waits! Almost two weeks away and can't wait.

several people just returning are posting although it was busy, they had hardly any wait times, so I think in the next couple weeks it will slack off some more and be great, I will be there Oct.27- Nov 4 and doing the party on halloween, which it is already sold out.

WE arrive oct 27, hit MNSSHP on the 31 and return home late nov 1....We are not really worried about the crowds as the KIDS *wont* be with us!! SO even if it IS CROWDED etc, it wont be as bad with just us 2 adults..I am DEF expecting crowds, BUT thats Disney for ya, TRUST me we went over SPRING break/near EASTER last year, so as long as its not as crowded as THAT ill be happy*.....The MNSSHP is SOLD out for OCt 31 too....BUT heck, ill be happy just BEING THERE thinking of all the others FREEZING back here in NH :rotfl2:

 Amongst the representatives from the UK during Halloween week will be myself, DD (9) and DS (11) - the schools over here all break up the last week in October, so watch out for swarms of Brits :rotfl: :rotfl: Dont worry though, we are all excellent at queueing and after at least a ten hour journey to get to the magic, we are desparate to ensure everyone has a great time :woohoo:

We go every year at halloween. (since 1999) and it's never really all that crowded. I don't expect this year to be any different.

I'm relieved to hear what those who are experienced with this week have had to say. We're making our first halloween visit to WDW. Having gone last year during Jersey Week I thought moving ahead a week it would be a lot quieter. Hearing some of the early reports about October I was starting to second guess my decision.

We're attending our very first MNSSHP and can hardly wait. I'm looking for a novel costume for this year and was thinking about dressing as TGM :Pinkbounc

Thank you everyone for your comments, I hope everyone have lots of fun and safe trip!

 Only about half are saying it's been crowded, the other half have said it was dead. And the one's saying it's crowded were there the first two weeks of the month, which is often "fall break" (we never got a fall break, we got Columbus day weekend, but we didn't start school as early then either).

Chill, step back, breathe and don't spaz. The lovebugs are gone, the crowds are small, and there are no holidays during the end of the month.

It can't be any worse then last Christmas! If I survived that, this should be a walk in the park!

We'll be down there from Oct. 27 - Nov 3....MNSSHP on the 27th, POS on the 28th! Been down there at this time of year before, and while it's not "empty" it's certainly not "summer, christmas or holiday crowds"!

We'll be there. Arriving Oct 28, MNSSHP Oct 31, and leaving Nov 3. IMHO the crowds have been heavy because of free dining and Columbus Day. I'm thinking if we avoid EMH we should be okay. Hey, I'm a Disney - and I'm going to F & W fest. As long as I have a glass of wine, I'll be okay :cool1:

I went for the first time last year at the end of Oct. Since it was my first time, I don't have anything to compare it to. I will tell you that we walked on all things in the morning. It would start getting busy around noon or so, but we would go back to the hotel for lunch and a nap. When we got back in the afternoon, it was a bit busier than the morning, but walked up to most rides anyway.

I have read that Oct. has been getting busier than last few years. Have you guys that have been going for a while noticed any difference?

We really liked the whole Halloween deal, but are thinking about moving our dates to the first of Dec. next year. Everyone seems to say that's the least busiest.

It's all my fault. Our first October trip was in 1999, and I have been blabbing about the beautiful weather and low crowds ever since. I'm sorry everyone, I let the secret out. I take complete responsibility. :(
