In 1991 we were introduced to a young girl who longed to become a jockey when moving to a new farm is scary for her when her parents had to sell their old farm and her horse but a sick foal shows the girl friendship and the power to believe in your dreams. That is the beginning of the Thoroughbred series and the girl was named Ashleigh Griffen and the horse became Ashleigh's Wonder "Wonder for short". Since it's debut book A Horse Called Wonder the Thoroughbred book series created by Joanna Campbell became the bestselling horse book series of all time. And all throughout the series new characters were introduced Ashleigh gets married and had a daughter named Christina who became a jockey too after trying her hand at eventing. And the Thoroughbred series had spun-off three Super Editions a spin-off series called Ashleigh which follows Ashleigh at ages nine and ten and Ashleigh's Thoroughbred Collection which is a collection of non-Thoroughbred horse stories. I loved this series and I don't know why they ended it and I still have my Thoroughbred books and read them today but I wish they made a comeback with new books
