Ok - AAA members get free refillable soda mugs when cruising on DCL.
Why dont DVCers? We're the ones giving Disney our money for the next 40yrs!

You are giving your money to Disney Development for the use of accomodations until 2042. While it would be nice for more perqs, until DVC makes a deal with WDW, you won't see much.
My suggestion, if you want to get free soda, join AAA.

I kinda like the fact that some perks are restricted to certain groups. I have been a AAA member for 20 years and I like the idea that we get things others don't. I really like the emerald parking spots at the theme parks for AAA members. You want perks? Join the club.

Is this a new perk for AAA members? Cruised Disney last year and don't remember it. How do I get the free mug next time?

AAA emerald parking space???? I belong to AAA, DVC and DC and always forget what perks I am allowed....but this parking space one sounds good! What is it??

Sorry off DVC topic!!

You have to be a AAA member and book your Cruise through them.

Parking spots? What parking spots? Forget I mentioned it.......

Just kidding!

The AAA parking spots vary at each of the parks. Before I go I always swing by my local AAA office and aske for the "Diamond Lot" parking pass. At MK this allows you to park way up front, a very short walk in to avoid the tram altogether.

At MGM you again get to park way up front thus avoiding the tram. If all those spots are filled then you get to park on teh very end of the current row.

I can't recall where it is at Animal Kingdom or Epcot.

All of the AAA perks discussed thus far are perks that are only supposed to be available if you actually book your trip through AAA. Being a member is not enough. Don't kid yourself--all of those perks get accounted for somewhere along the line in what you pay or eventually pay.

I have never booked a trip through AAA. All I have ever had to do is walk into their travel office, tell them I'm off to Disney and asked for the diamond parking pass. I show them my AAA card and have never had a problem.

The AAA information that I have seen is very clear on this and our AAA stores do enforce it. I'm glad that you have been able to get this perk from your AAA office, but many have not been so lucky.

While I understand what you're saying, no business would just give out perks and lose money over it. I must say that my experience with AAA travel is they will always beat the best price you find and still throw in their regular perks too. Can't beat that, in my opinion.
