Ok VMK... It was nice to be able to say Beach for it's intended use, but the kids using it to swear is really getting out of hand....

In the past week I have been called a Beach a dozen times while playing pirates... You Beach... Your such a Beach, What A Beach.... just for making them go boom....

It's tiring.... lol

Oh well.....

I usually answer "thanks I heart the beach" and Add something about the waves or sand or something like that

And just don't acknowledge what they are saying as bad- may not get them all to stop- but I do so love to mess with their minds like that

I think we all knew this would happen. I'm surprised the word has remained in the dictionary this long, truthfully. I would have thought they'd pull it in less than a week. They must not be doing the monitoring that they allegedly do for all conversations. Maybe they are short-staffed because it's summer time.

It's an unfortunate side effect of having fairly young people who think it's cool to curse, and do so at every opportunity. Actually, I shouldn't pick on young people because I know plenty of us old farts who do it too. My apologies to the young folks out there who mind their tongue. No offense intended!

It will be gone by next Monday, if I were a betting girl.

I don't like it either. Nobody has called me that before. But it's bound to happen someday. :(

Isn't this why it was taken out of the dictionary for a while?

I don't approve of the way some are using the word.
But, just about every other word can be used for the wrong purpose.

If I see a person using beach the unintended way, then I'll just report them. :teeth:

The word "beach" is not the problem. The kids who are using it, their parents, and whatever brings the kids to the place where they feel it is acceptable for them to call another person / character within vmk "a beach" is the problem.

The fact that the word exists is not the problem. That's like blaming car manufacturers and alcohol companies for drunk driving accidents.

Don't ban the word - teach the kids it's wrong.

I mean even the word as, and luck is used wrong.
In pirates this kid used it, I asked him to stop and he said sorry.

I think VMK took the word beach out of the dictionary a while back, but since Blizzard Beach was coming, they added it back - without warning. There are now definitely less people using the word in the wrong way.

I just report them. I'm used to it, because of the way I am I act normal and people curse me out. It's kinda fun pressing the report button. Although limited dictionary in the report thing is so annoying. @_@

Just report the people you see doing this. It's about the only thing we can do to stop it.

Yep. Just gotta report. And welcome to the forums!

I just tend to ignore the ones who clearly have no grasp of the english language. If they feel that they need to talk like that on a kid's game, then there is something wrong with them. And that is not my problem! Besides....muting people works just as well!

Thanks... I've been browsing the forums for a while before I finally decided to sign up. :)

i have seen ppl misuse words to curse like the time this girl lost a match in pirates she said "she it" and when i was on my boy character this boy said "duck u" and a girl who was my friend said not to say that i didnt know what he said and she opened up a trade window and repeated it to me.
