We are coming to WDW for the first time Nov 7...we are a male 53 and female 51 and we have saved for 8 years for this trip...Disney has been a DREAM for me all my life...but...life got in the way...also son 24 and Girlfriend will be coming with us...maybe...just maybe we will be lucky enough to get a dream come true from Disney..my god …its almost time …a little over 2 weeks….to wax poetetically if I may...I used to watch "Wonderful World Of Disney" every Sunday as a child and young adult with dreams of going there some day...we are staying at CSR with MYW and DDP
All I can say is we have a count down going and CANNOT wait until Nov 7, 2007 at 5:30 am when we leave for WDW!!!!!:

just make sure you have birthdays to celebrate along with an anniversary. Enjoy your well earned vacation.

How exciting:yay: Bring the tissues. the first time you lay eyes on the castle......It will be amazing. The only advice I have for you is SLOW DOWN and enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take time to "stop and smell the roses". there is so much magic people miss when they rush from one attraction to the next. Have a magical trip!pixiedust:

Have a wonderful time and try not to do the parks commando style. Slow down and enjoy it, the parks, the resorts, sitting by the pool, and downtown Disney. The first couple of times we went we were in the parks from early morning to closing - my feet still hurt and its been 10 years. Now we take it at a more leisurely pace and I have to say we enjoy it more. Be sure to check out the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at MGM - I hear their up and will start showing them anyday now. Enjoy!

Wow, I hope your vacation is super magical!

Definitely slow down now and then and take it all in!!!!

I'll second that!

Also, as hard as it is, try to calm down. Disney can be overwhelming, and if you're excited now, imagine how you'll feel when you're there.

Do you have a touring plan? Dining is arranged? Packing list made? Focus your energy on getting ready. Then ENJOY!!!!:cool1:
Have a wonderful trip!!

I agree with the above poster. The best thing you can do is be prepared. Have an idea of what you want to do and where it is when you get to the parks. Don't wander around like we did our first trip. Get up early and rest in the afternoon if necessary. Have a wonderful time and do take time to enjoy yourself. There are so many things at WDW that you will overlook if you are in a big hurry all the time.

CSR is a beautiful resort, you're going to LOVE it!

Have a great trip!! :dance3:

In your post you say it is almost time a little over two weeks? may I point out it is in 3 days not two weeks?

Are you staying onsite? and have you made all your ADRs? I hope so, do you know all about fast pass etc.? I hope you have done your homework, it is the difference between Magical and bitter disappointment.
I hope you get the Magical. Hubby and I 58 and 56 will be there on Nov 14 - 20 to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Been lots of times before though.
I hope you have a great trip and that we all get great weather.pirate:

My husband and I went to WDW for the first time in 1996 (at the age of 47) and have been back every year since. We absolutely love it!! My only advice is to make sure you enjoy all the nighttime shows (they are the best). My favorite is Illuminations. Have a great trip!!!:yay: :yay:

Hope you all have a terrific time. As DHF said, Illuminations is my favorite as well. You will love it. I get chills and tears in my eyes everytime I see it. Hope some pixie dust comes your way. :wizard:
