The kids are saving for down town Disney for the Lego store. SIL had a garage sale they both got to go Friday and sell some of their toys they were done with. DD had a ton of pet shop and their buildings, some Polly lockets, some clothes and misc, DS had fisher price castle and other boy toys. DD made around $100 DS around $30 (he had lots less to sell). DD sold sweet corn to the tellers at the local bank, made $21. Today before DS soccer game we trimmed the rest of the bushes around the house and I had him help pick up all the trimmings and dispose of them. DH said he was going to have someone come and do it, so I volunteered the kids and me to do it for Disney money, DD was already at her game and she has a lot more chances to earn so I had DS help me.
Once they start saving they won't stop - it is now a game for us to see who can save the most.
If you're gonna pay someone else and you are capable of doing it then why not!?
