Admit it - We have all taken little things to "remember the magic" from WDW! I was just cleaning out the garage the other day and found the largest pinecone I have ever seen sitting on a shelf. Then, I remembered where it came from - WDW! It ended up near our door the morning after Hurricane Charley passed over POP Century. So, this was a very cool "souvenier" to bring home!

So, what is it that you have "taken" from WDW? Ever brought home anything that wasn't really an "official" souvenier??

I have to admit to putting the little Mickey Face Paper Glass Coasters each day in my suitcase so Mousekeeping would give me another. Now I have a small collection. But I don't want to use them and mess them up so they sit in my Longaberger coaster basket and I just look at them.

I know what you mean by taking a "natural" item -- I have a huge pinecone from my sister's house in Florida and from other places I have unusual rocks or even acorns but I've not found anything like that at WDW that I can think of!!!

I havent been to WDW- yet! But from DL I keep the napkins from the fast food places.. I mean the 50th ones will never be around again! lol. And they change (ALMOST) every time I go since I usually keep it to once a year. haha.

Two things...

The Mickey head shaped confetti on the ground after a parade/celebration and we also pilfer the black Mickey head shaped kids meal plates that we'd otherwise toss in the garbage after eating. We have a nice collection of those plates at home now. So technically we haven't officially shoplifted anything...:lmao:

The soaps and shampoo. I've been collecting them since we've gone so I have them from yearsss ago. I wouldn't dare use them now though, they might give me some kind of rash, but I pull them out when I'm cleaning and "think" I might throw them away.....then put them back in the basket.

Our last trip was 7 years ago. I STILL have some pens from the hotel room that resurface once in awhile - I pack them up every day so I got new ones each day. I also have plastic cups from all the parks - we don't use them very often but they are great for birthday parties etc where you have alot of people, since I'm one of those tree hugger types that avoids disposable stuff.

We like to take the soaps and shampoos, pens from the room, etc. Basically, we'll grab any freebie to take home to remind us of WDW. :goodvibes

Last year, I took home a pen from the resort and lost it a week or two later. I whined about it on the Community Board and a very nice DIS member sent me 10 of them from her trips! :rotfl2: People are great here.

Me, too! I put one in our scrapbook :)

I still have a big rock from the Poly from when I was a kid - you know, those black rocks that line the path? Well as a kid I was obsessed with rocks - took them from every place I could! Now I only have a few and the Poly rock is one of them. (My family knew about this and told me that Pe'le would put me in a volcano for stealing his rock!)

Shhh..don't tell. We accidentally took a Beaches and Cream menu home without realizing it. Still, we have given them so much business at this point that it doesn't really matter anymore, haha.
We also take the room pens, soaps, etc.

We are soap/shampoo addicts, too. I also take extra napkins and keep them in my car. I have a shot glass that I put the Mickey Confetti in.

I've taken soaps, coasters, plastic cups, pens, napkins, & a couple other things.

I took a "Wet Paint" Sign that was no longer needed from the Pop! (The paint was totally Dry - I promise!) Now, if I can just get the pin to go with it then I can frame them both for ALL the world to see!

We also have a "Hot Minnie!" When DD was 2, on the last day of our trip - we gave her a Minnie Mouse Cheerleader stuffed animal to "play with" while we were shopping at the WoD shop at DTD. We paid for our purchases and then proceeded to the buses. As we were packing up the stroller and picking up DD, we realized that she still had the Minnie! It was too late to go back - so now we have named the Cheerleader "Hot Minnie!" (I know that it's wrong, but I like to think of it as a promotion - One "Hot Minnie" for every $250 spent at WoD!)

The following things have amazingly appeared in my suitcase after coming home from WDW:

Towel animals
the cloth laundry sack from the hamper at the GF
a "wet paint" sign with D. Duck on it
plastic dabloons from the FQ pool area

All of the above, with the exception of the Wet Paint sign were accidents....Although last April, my husband walked out of the food court to meet us at our table outside, and half way through his lunch, he realized he didnt pay for his food!!! I was so embarrased, what a dork, right???

Sand from the beach in front of the BC. I keep it in a shot glass I bought at the BC Marketplace. We always keep our room keys. And last time (I hope this isn't too bad), a "Privacy Please" door tag followed me home.

I took 3-D glasses from Captain EO when I was in high school.

We brought back a couple of lizards (anoles?). We don't have them in our part of the country.

They're great deep-fried!

I'm kidding!

well let's see...
pens from the rooms
extra plates, napkins - that sort of stuff

i think the best one however is when we went to eat at Cape May Cafe and went into the bathrooms and saw the washcloth thingys in there and we each took one. (there were 5 girls total. i now have it proudly displayed in my bedroom!:thumbsup2 )
