This Trip Is Being Refurbished for Your Future Enjoyment: UPDATED 11/15!

I was a little teary because I was missing my friend KittyKat and wishing she could’ve been there, with me, in her favorite place in the World at her favorite time in the World. Kat and I had had the opportunity to do a ‘girls only’ trip the previous May and had stayed at CBR. Though she and I had enjoyed ourselves some Flower and Garden Festival and delightful late Spring weather, there’s simply something right about the TK clan being in the World in the Fall enjoying all the not-so-scary festivities.

However, our May trip had been a good one and I simply couldn’t help but remember pulling up to the Custom House, seeing our Jamaican room for the first time, running like 5 year-olds through the courtyard during the thunderstorm to end all thunderstorms. And of course, “Where you live?”

That was for you, KittyKat.

I inspired the tears? Oh my. Thank you for the very heartfelt shout out. You're hitting on some of my favorite memories there.

And on a side note, we MUST get to the World during fall together. Preferably a trip that hits both our birthdays.

Oh my gosh, the mind just boggles thinking of all the fun and possible visits with Disney security we'd have.

Our ME stop at CBR was brief.

I'd been really curious to hear about your whole ME experience, since we've never done it. Overall, sounds like a positive one. :thumbsup2

“Well.”

Translation: son of a....

See, they can't say that stuff in Disney. ;)

(Funny what constitutes a crisis in the real world versus Disney World.)

Isn't it wonderful when that's the worst thing you have to worry about? A Disney crisis?

I did the puppy head tilt. You know the one. It has this sound effect: “Baroo?”

:rotfl2: I can picture you doing this.

Part of me wanted to say, “Um, excuse me Frannalanaadingdong, but I’ve stayed here before. Matter of fact, I’m a DISer, so you know that means I’ve scoured every inch of the internet for every bit of information I can get about this resort, your job, the entire World, including their trash pick-up schedule so no, I don’t need you to go into detail about where I can find the laundry facilities.

You know, I very politely listen to that speech. Every. Single. Year.

Because you never know, right? It could change. Something could be different! Hey, and in 2012, maybe I'll get to stay at that new resort and then I'll have to listen because I won't know where the laundry facilities are.

Although you can pretty much bet they're somewhere near the pool. ;)

Besides, who does laundry in Disney World?!

People who don't want poop stains to settle into clothing over a week's time.

Because that's just icky. And a not so nice reminder of reality when you get home.

But honestly, I never used to do laundry in the World. And then I had kids. :lmao:

I couldn’t help but think of a very talented artist and sweet friend I happen to know. Who is all about the tye dye.

Yes, you read that right. Groping each other.

Um, seriously?

If there's no crying in baseball, shouldn't there be no groping in Disney?

DSCN3036.jpg

Am I the only one who thinks Lady’s expression is just the tiniest bit evil looking?! Seriously, at the right angle…

Yes, you are. I just don't see it. :lmao:

DSCN3039.jpg

He’s a tramp…

But I love him!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Am I the only person on the planet who didn’t know that this cute, not-so-little doghouse exists between Lady and her Tramp? I discovered it for the first time this trip. Very cute. It’s all in the details.

Actually, I'd never noticed that, that is super cute. :thumbsup2

Not one person passed me by in their little Disney golf cart without saying hello or wishing me a magical day.

Ahhhhh. THERE’S my Disney.

That's so nice. I love it when that happens. Makes all the difference, those little things.

DSCN3091.jpg

That’s one Big Wheel.

We stayed in this section on our last family trip. DS absolutely loved the big wheel. :thumbsup2

DSCN3093.jpg

Notice the left-hand soccer player’s Justin Bieber do.

Mom and I took some really fun photos over here as well. :goodvibes

DSCN3094.jpg

This dad was having the best time watching his kids have the best time. Very sweet.

I love that play area! I swear, the next time we go, you and I are going to run through one of those and act like five year olds.

Deal?

Which immediately made me think: They play Beer Pong here?! AWESOME! When I turned around saw the ping pong tables behind me, I was properly shamed.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

OOOOOoooo. Shoooppping.

I'm not ashamed to admit that if I were alone, this probably would have been my first stop. Which is funny, because I'm not big into souvies, but I love to look at all the stuff! :goodvibes

I DIDN’T NEED a ridiculously sweet plush of Zero from the Nightmare Before Christmas. And a big hooded sweatshirt in 90+ degree weather? I could find away to justify it. Believe me. (And I did, later in the week.)

I can't tell you how many times I've been tempted by that Zero plush. Seriously. He's such a cute little stinker.

And honestly. We all know how easy it is to justify the hoodie. ;)

Holy Food, Batman!

I've eaten there before and gotten the Shrimp Lo Mein, and felt the same way. Honestly, I couldn't finish it.

Tye Dye Cheesecake – Hm. I’m not really sure what to say about this. It tasted fine, nothing spectacular, and again the portion is HUGE but there was just…something…I finally put my finger on it. I felt like I was eating Play-Doh. Not taste (obviously) but consistency. It was very dense and the bright colors just really brought me back to playing with Play-Doh.

The menfolk in my family had quite a philosophical conversation (Dad, FIL, DS, DH) about what happens after you digest one of these. Savvy?

Aw honey, don't forget, you ARE a mom, so you're automatically included in that list.

It's funny, I know I am one, but I don't feel as though I'm of the same caliber as our moms yet. :lmao:

Me too, although I think you'd actually LOVE the fact that my absolute FAVORITE picture of him is one where he's wearing a pirate hat. ::yes::

Why have I not seen this???

We just couldnt' shut up. That was the first problem. Then we managed an honest 27 minutes of sleep.

We are quite chatty, aren't we? :lmao:

LOL!

Oh, I meant to tell you...ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween begins Tuesday...and I think they're starting with the first Pirate's movie.

I just saw a commercial for it last night, I'm so excited. God, I love this time of year.

I love your writing. You and TK should both become writers and write Disney guidebooks :goodvibes

Aw, thanks! Tink, are you in?

Oh my word - the commentary about Frannie, the check-in CM, had me ROLLING! :rotfl: I can just picture it all. After saying you've been to WDW TWELVE times you'd think she had gotten a clue that she didn't need to explain in detail, but man, sure made for a funny TR moment! ;)

What a very lovely walk around Pop! Minus the whole groping, smoking, head slapping and love bug. :headache: Henry was sitting next to me while I read and said he wanted to go see it all, so I'm putting on the agenda for March! :thumbsup2

Glad moving is going alright, I hope the rest goes smoothly for you both!

I'm officially joining in. I think I suscribed, but haven't actually posted. It's hard to keep track sometimes.

Anyway... I love your Pop pictures. We will most likely end up there on our next trip and I am really excited.
I can't wait to try the tie-dye cheesecake. It looks good, yet disgusting at the same time:confused3

I have never seen a picture of the doghouse before. I will have to leave sometime free so that we can take a walk around and see everything.

:eek:I can't believe someone hit their kid hard enough for you to hear!

The check in lady was too much. You would think she wouldn't bother after saying you've been so many times but I guess she was just being helpful. We did dxdp last trip and it was tough listening to the waiters explain what was included each meal. Yeah, I already know. Oh and I've known for 6 months what DH, DD and I will be ordering. Thanks!

I am debating on which section to request at Pop. I haven't booked yet and have been thinking about doing preferred just b/c I am lazy, but I was born in 82 and want to stay in the 80's section. Is the 80's far from the main hall?

Can't wait to see your next updatepopcorn::

Ahhh! Nothing like arriving in Disney to a beautiful day! I love all the pictures you took around POP. I've only been there the once, and all I really checked out was the Lady and the Tramp statues. I do have to say that I think that I once owned just about everything in those 80's displays at POP. Including the Madonna 12" single. I think I still have that someplace actually, along with my Cabbage Patch doll and my rubiks cube. :)

Eeek on the lovebugs! As they were still there when I got to Disney, I'm guessing there were lots and lots more lovebugs in your future. :sad2:

And the beer pong comment? :rotfl: I'm guessing that if POP ever is a host for Pop Warner events there may actually be some beer pong going on. Last year at AsSp those parents were partying it up every night. Had ping pong balls been available, pong would definitely be going on. :rotfl:

Ever wonder what would happen if one of those automatic security gates that lets vehicles in and out of the resorts didn’t “see” the bus when it was supposed to? Me too.

You and I think SO much alike, it's scary.

So, in my head what was about to happen was something along these lines:
*my ID would be checked
*my packet would be handed to me
*I’d receive my room assignment or be told when to expect my room to be ready
TOTAL TIME ELAPSED: 37 seconds

It's amusing reading about how similar your experience was to mine. Well, it's more amusing to read about it here than it was to experience it, anyway.

Though I did have to settle for taking home the Bronze for the Check-In event. Perhaps with more training and some performance-enhancing drugs I will take home the gold next year.

There's got to be a way for them to record the information about whether it's your first visit to Disney World, how many times you've visited since 2005, etc. from your very first phone call. That would help. I always love it when I answer Robot Voice Lady on the reservations line when she asks those questions, and then the CM on the phone asks the same questions 2 minutes later. :headache:

Yes, you read that right. Groping each other.

And also, smoking wherever they darn well pleased...

There were a few families hanging around but it was relatively quiet. As I snapped pictures of the area, I suddenly heard a THWAP!, followed by a cry of pain, disbelief or both. As I turned my head, ready to help if it was needed (or possibly run away if it was bloody) I was further irked. There stood a father, hand still in the post-slap-upside –the-head position, standing by a whimpering little boy, who looked to be about 7 or 8.

Happiest place on earth!

DSCN3036.jpg

Am I the only one who thinks Lady’s expression is just the tiniest bit evil looking?! Seriously, at the right angle…

Totally with you! What would a Lady evil laugh sound like?

I hate to admit it, but I breathed a sigh of relief at the end.... not for you, but to know my BF isn't the only one who enjoy torturing cats. My BF however takes pictures to show me what they have been up too. :sad2:

First of all, HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!! I was, as you know, in the World this past (extended) weekend and thought of you! Hope you got to have a little fun in between all the busy-ness!

These two installments were hysterical, Tink! The check-in with Frannie the extra-helpful CM was my favorite :rotfl2:

Let me second the cheers for happy, friendly CMs! I was thrilled with nearly every encounter we had this weekend, and commented to the hubbah several times. It really makes the trip oh-so-magical when the interactions you have are up to Walt's standards :thumbsup2

Quite the photo tour of Pop you gave us there! Nice camera work, for sure. Having spent very little time at Pop, I appreciated the visuals, so thanks!

I am not a cheesecake fan (thank goodness), but I don't feel I'm being biased when I say that tie-dyed cheesecake looks nasty. I'm not surprised it tasted like play doh. Your beef and broccoli looked yum though!!

Thanks for finding time to update us amidst all the chaos. I hope you are all settled in soon!

Hey, my friend... here and reading- actually not just reading, but really enjoying! I stayed right by the odd lady, never thought anything of it, so well, it must just be you. :lmao:

I saw a lot of the bad parenting on my last trip too. I think it's spreading like a disease. There is just no excuse for that- if a child needs correction, the room is the place to do it- no. where. else.

Laundry facilities?? :rotfl2: The whole thing had me cracking up!!

I reminded myself I was in no rush, even if I was coming in second and dangerously close to third in the Disney Check-In Olympics and opted for the text option. Which just kind of struck me as neat. Disney World was going to text me!

My husband's second cousin and his wife and their kids work at Disney. Occasionally, the second cousin's wife sends me boring, much-forwarded emails. I send them to my sister.

Not because they are interesting, but because they are from K---L@disney.com

I kept mostly to the path by the lake past the 60’s, 70’s, and then, at the 80’s/90’s section, continued along to where the sidewalk ends (NOShelSilverstein)

I can not go to school today said little Peggy Ann McKay.
I have the measles and the mumps, a gash, a rash and purple bumps....

If you’ve been to the Poly you KNOW of what I speak. Write. Whatever.
::yes::

I’m not stranger to Disney or Pop. So, in my head what was about to happen was something along these lines:
*my ID would be checked
*my packet would be handed to me
*I’d receive my room assignment or be told when to expect my room to be ready
TOTAL TIME ELAPSED: 37 seconds
Good luck with that...

Besides, who does laundry in Disney World?!
Hey! :pfft:

I repeat, Frannie was sweet as I imagine peach pie to be since I’ve never had it. She would’ve been the PERFECT CM to check in a first timer. And I complimented her before leaving the desk on her mad checking-in skillz. But at that moment in time I think my eyes were screaming, “Hot Holy Carp Frannie, just give me my room key.”
:lmao: OMGOMGOMG - was "Frannie" her real name?! Did she moonlight at ASSp? Because I just had the same experience there. WHY?!?!

Welcome to the 1950’s. Now get in the kitchen, woman, and heat me up a TV dinner.
:rotfl2:

As I approached the larger than life Lady in the 50’s area...
Was she ready to Attack? You know, the Attack of the 50-foot Woman? Never mind. ;)

DSCN3093.jpg

Notice the left-hand soccer player’s Justin Bieber do.
He was a-head of his time.

DSCN3100.jpg

Which immediately made me think: They play Beer Pong here?! AWESOME!
BWAHAHAHA!!!! Okay, you owe me a new keyboard please.

As I filled my mug, I glanced at the woman next to me, also filling mugs. The big, fat, old school mugs. So old you couldn’t tell what resort they were originally from.

I imagined all of the people on the DISboards having a fit. And laughed a little to myself.
LOVE. THIS. :rotfl2:

So, it's just a matter of balancing the craziness.

Anyone have a straightjacket?!
I wish! I'm there, too. But it'll ease up, soon for us both, I'm sure of it!

Hiya Tink! :wave2:

How goes it my friend?

Excellent start so far. Loving all the photos. You have documented well young Jedi.

The checking story had me cracking up, the slapping had me raged up and the eating had me hungry. This is one complex little TR you went and put together here.

Hope the move goes well. Looking forward to more.

I currently have no internet at the new place. But at least I'm now IN the new place with BF, so there's that. Internet will hopefully be in on/by 11/1.

I'm going to attempt to bring my laptop with me to work to get the next chapter up tomorrow.

Thanks for not abandoning me.

Now...

#1. I noticed TONS of people smoking on my last trip and not in the designated areas either. It is really annoying. I know they pay their money just like everyone else but they have those designated areas for a reason.

Good LORD could I start a mud-slinging, DISboard-unfriendly hissy fit about the smoking. It's a hot button topic. Like using mugs from 1971 and pool hopping. But I won't. Because I'm not that kind of DISer.

All I will say is this. I pee where Disney tells me I should so as not to offend anyone and because it's sanitary (and, well, because my mommy taught me well). I throw my trash where Disney tells me so as not to gross anyone out or dirty things for everyone else. Please smoke where Disney tells you to smoke.

#2. I had to laugh at your refillable mug comment. I see those older mugs all the time and while they don't bother me, I always chuckle a little at those heated discussions on the DIS.

Seriously, these mugs were so old they were just white. You couldn't see any resort info. on there anymore.

#4. I hate the way they posed Lady. She looks weird, like she can't keep her neck up.

I feel like, from the right angle, she's glaring down at people.

LOL, I had a similar thing happen at POFQ last year. Only I had not done online checkin and was through well before the person with online checkin. BUt I think Pixie Dust was all over that trip, because my room was ready at 7am.

Wow, 7 a.m.!!!

:rolleyes1 I do laundry at Disney.

Honey, aren't you ALWAYS doing laundry?

Wow, holy Legos, batman! My son would have a field day.

I won't lie. I kind of wanted to duck under the velvet rope and get my building on.

Don't see it Tink. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong angle.

Maybe you have to be there...

 I won't even get into the debate here, but even in parent who do use corporeal punishment, it is definitely not okay to hit said child anywhere but on the buttocks. That was abuse. Being a first responder (and all teachers are), I'd have to call CPS right then and there. Glad dh wasn't there, because he'd probably tell the dude what he thought of him.

Believe me, it was really hard to only yell at him with my eyes.

It's going to be the Art of Animation Resort, and when it opens, the creativeamanda clan will be staying there.

Oh, I knew THAT part. I was wondering what they'll call the bridge and the lake now that the two resorts aren't really all that related when it comes to theming.

That's who makes DIsney, isn't it? The CMs who say, hello; the ones that tell us to have a magical day. For a second there, I got the "I'm in Disney" feeling. Thanks.

:goodvibes

LOL, I have a feeling I know. We still have mosquitoes here at home. I can only imagine the plethora of bugs hanging around a Disney resort late September.

The lovebugs were ridiculous. And there were lots of snails, too, but those were kind of cool.

Sometime you have to share your stock answer with me so I know what to say.

Roger that.

I love your writing. You and TK should both become writers and write Disney guidebooks

Yes, though we'd have to title the book: Disney by DISers...with Lots of Unrelated Tangents

Thanks for the compliment though. :goodvibes

We're thinking of spending two nights there before our 10 nights at BLT next summer.

Ooooooo. BLT (NOSandwich). I'd love to stay there.

But cheesecake the consistency of Play Doh does not sound pleasant

It was...interesting...but ok. Not quite exactly like Play-Doh but the colors were so vivid it was all I could think of!

Hmmmm....a vibrating phone cliffhanger.....very interesting!!!

Yes...AND I'm going to make you wait one more whole chapter before you know what happens!

MUAH HA HA HA!

Great update! I love how you write your TR, like a story! Mine is just "we did this, here's a picture" :rotfl:. I'll have to work on that for my next TR!

Thank you.

I write the way I think.
Which means you have the inside track to my brain.
Scary, no? ;)

I am kind of sad that they aren't finishing the other side of Pop, I think those decades would have been a lot of fun...who wouldn't want to stay in a 20's section?

When I told my BF about the original plans for the Legendary years he said, "What was the theming going to be for the 20's section - the Great Depression?!"

And on a side note, we MUST get to the World during fall together. Preferably a trip that hits both our birthdays.

Oh my gosh, the mind just boggles thinking of all the fun and possible visits with Disney security we'd have.

I can see the headlines now: Woman Banned from Disney for Life; Jack Sparrow to Press Charges

I'd been really curious to hear about your whole ME experience, since we've never done it. Overall, sounds like a positive one.

Absolutely was.

People who don't want poop stains to settle into clothing over a week's time.

Ahhhhh...yes. Never had that issue. Ew.

If there's no crying in baseball, shouldn't there be no groping in Disney?

Let me remind you of two words that void your whole theory my friend:

Jack. Sparrow.

I love that play area! I swear, the next time we go, you and I are going to run through one of those and act like five year olds.

Deal?

Deal, but only if we divest DH and BF of the cameras first. When I act 5 I go ALL OUT. And I really don't want THAT posted all over the internet.

I can't tell you how many times I've been tempted by that Zero plush. Seriously. He's such a cute little stinker.

I won't lie. I picked him up and put his back down a FEW times this trip.

The menfolk in my family had quite a philosophical conversation (Dad, FIL, DS, DH) about what happens after you digest one of these. Savvy?

Savvy. And I didn't "turn around and look" to figure it out.

Why have I not seen this???

Not sure. There's one of each of us with the hat on. I'll dig it out when you visit.

Aw, thanks! Tink, are you in?

Yes...though see my title suggestion above.

She was on a roll. I couldn't stop her.

What a very lovely walk around Pop! Minus the whole groping, smoking, head slapping and love bug.

Four things no one should have to endure in Disney.

Henry was sitting next to me while I read and said he wanted to go see it all, so I'm putting on the agenda for March!

Aww...Henry would LOVE it!

I'm officially joining in. I think I suscribed, but haven't actually posted. It's hard to keep track sometimes.

Welcome...and you're preaching to the choir on subscriptions. ;)

I can't wait to try the tie-dye cheesecake. It looks good, yet disgusting at the same time

It was ok, insofaras flavor, and was simply FASCINATING visually.

I can't believe someone hit their kid hard enough for you to hear!

Right?! :sad2:

We did dxdp last trip and it was tough listening to the waiters explain what was included each meal. Yeah, I already know. Oh and I've known for 6 months what DH, DD and I will be ordering. Thanks!

:lmao: Me too!

I am debating on which section to request at Pop. I haven't booked yet and have been thinking about doing preferred just b/c I am lazy, but I was born in 82 and want to stay in the 80's section. Is the 80's far from the main hall?

In my humble opinon, unless you want to be right up on the pool, preferred isn't really worth it. I walked, at one point, from the 80's section to the hall and it's just a few minutes. It's not a GINORMOUS resort (though not tiny, either). I would say that if you wanted the 80's area, to put that request on your reservation and to say you want to be in the building facing the bus stop area. It's the closest to the busses and Classic Hall.

Eeek on the lovebugs! As they were still there when I got to Disney, I'm guessing there were lots and lots more lovebugs in your future.

UGH. Just UGH.

And the beer pong comment? :rotfl: I'm guessing that if POP ever is a host for Pop Warner events there may actually be some beer pong going on. Last year at AsSp those parents were partying it up every night. Had ping pong balls been available, pong would definitely be going on.

I've never experienced Pop Warner (thankfully) but I imagine those parents NEEDED beer pong at night after those long days with all those kids!

You and I think SO much alike, it's scary.

Or flat out awesome. Because I'm pretty awesome. Which means you're pretty awesome. LOL

It's amusing reading about how similar your experience was to mine. Well, it's more amusing to read about it here than it was to experience it, anyway.

Thanks. I think.

Totally with you! What would a Lady evil laugh sound like?

FINALLY!!! SOMEONE else sees it!

I hate to admit it, but I breathed a sigh of relief at the end.... not for you, but to know my BF isn't the only one who enjoy torturing cats. My BF however takes pictures to show me what they have been up too.

:lmao:

First of all, HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!!

Thanks, lady!

I was, as you know, in the World this past (extended) weekend and thought of you! Hope you got to have a little fun in between all the busy-ness!

And how was it?! When life calms down I'd love to get together for dinner and drinks to hear all about it.

Let me second the cheers for happy, friendly CMs! I was thrilled with nearly every encounter we had this weekend, and commented to the hubbah several times. It really makes the trip oh-so-magical when the interactions you have are up to Walt's standards

It really does make everything feel extra special, huh?

I am not a cheesecake fan (thank goodness), but I don't feel I'm being biased when I say that tie-dyed cheesecake looks nasty. I'm not surprised it tasted like play doh.

It didn't taste like Play-Doh, just looked a lot like it. Really it just tasted like any other average cheesecake of the world. Just meh.

Thanks for finding time to update us amidst all the chaos. I hope you are all settled in soon!

So. Close. To. Being. Done.

Great update Love all ur CM commentary. great walk around POP

Thanks Mary! More Pop in the next installment.

Hey, my friend... here and reading- actually not just reading, but really enjoying!

Yay! I'm glad! I must say I thought of you enjoying your well-earned Disney time a lot on this trip.

I stayed right by the odd lady, never thought anything of it, so well, it must just be you.

Hm. So does that make ME the "odd Lady"? :rotfl:

I saw a lot of the bad parenting on my last trip too. I think it's spreading like a disease. There is just no excuse for that- if a child needs correction, the room is the place to do it- no. where. else.

I SO agree with you.

My husband's second cousin and his wife and their kids work at Disney. Occasionally, the second cousin's wife sends me boring, much-forwarded emails. I send them to my sister.

Not because they are interesting, but because they are from K---L@disney.com

Love it! I'd do the same. ::yes::

I can not go to school today said little Peggy Ann McKay.
I have the measles and the mumps, a gash, a rash and purple bumps....

If that book was checked out of our school library it's because I had it! Always!

Hey! : pfft :

Awww...my poor laundry peeps...especially those of you who have shrunk half their wardrobe at AKV.

:lmao: OMGOMGOMG - was "Frannie" her real name?! Did she moonlight at ASSp? Because I just had the same experience there. WHY?!?!

Frannie was her real name. ::yes::

I took special care to record most CMs names this trip.

He was a-head of his time.

That was BAD. But so good. LOL!!!

BWAHAHAHA!!!! Okay, you owe me a new keyboard please.

Glad you enjoyed that. Shall we schedule a DIS Beer Pong meet whenever it is that we can FINALLY meet in the World?

I wish! I'm there, too. But it'll ease up, soon for us both, I'm sure of it!

Things are sloooooowly starting to return to the norm here, at home at least. How 'bout for you?

Hope the move is going smoothly for you! :goodvibes

Um, smoothly? Yes. Taking FORFREAKINGEVER? Also yes. Tying things up this weekend.

Hiya Tink! :wave2:

How goes it my friend?

It goes, GB, it goes.

Excellent start so far. Loving all the photos. You have documented well young Jedi.

:yoda:

The checking story had me cracking up, the slapping had me raged up and the eating had me hungry. This is one complex little TR you went and put together here.

Well, I do try to make it a point to strike a chord with my readers emotionally.

And gastrointestinally.

Hm. Perhaps I have more in common with Z than I thought.

Tell him I said, "What up, dawg." (NORandyJackson)

I can see the headlines now: Woman Banned from Disney for Life; Jack Sparrow to Press Charges

:rotfl2:

Ahhhhh...yes. Never had that issue. Ew.

Yup. That's my life.

Poop.

Let me remind you of two words that void your whole theory my friend:

Jack. Sparrow.

Ahhh... :scratchin

Savvy. :thumbsup2

Deal, but only if we divest DH and BF of the cameras first. When I act 5 I go ALL OUT. And I really don't want THAT posted all over the internet.

Are you sure? I mean, you remember the picture I let you and LegoMom take whilst dining on Casey's, right? ;)

I won't lie. I picked him up and put his back down a FEW times this trip.

Aw. TK and Tink can haz kute Zero plush?

Savvy. And I didn't "turn around and look" to figure it out.

Too bad, we could have solved the mystery.

BF responded with the rest of the academy and all stations to a 4 alarm mill fire in our city yesterday around 3 p.m. He didn't get home until 10:30 p.m. While I knew he was only running hoses, he was on my mind and I didn't sleep well even once he was home.

Thus, the laptop didn't cross my mind this morning...until I was a good 20 min. from the house.

Sorry, everyone. Hopefully tomorrow.

But, on a happy note, we're past the "first fire" mark now and I'll hopefully only get less neurotic from here.

BF responded with the rest of the academy and all stations to a 4 alarm mill fire in our city yesterday around 3 p.m. He didn't get home until 10:30 p.m. While I knew he was only running hoses, he was on my mind and I didn't sleep well even once he was home.

I don't blame you for being a bit flustered. Glad that the "first" is out of the way. :)

I worried about him, too, hon. Glad everything is ok.

Awww...my poor laundry peeps...especially those of you who have shrunk half their wardrobe at AKV.
LOL, true that! But... it's been a wonderful diet/exercise motivator - I refuse to buy all new shorts!
Frannie was her real name. ::yes::
Know what's scary about that? Mine wasn't Frannie. That means there's more than one out there. :scared:
Glad you enjoyed that. Shall we schedule a DIS Beer Pong meet whenever it is that we can FINALLY meet in the World?
Yes! But you should know - I'll be tanked in no time. I can't sink a ping-pong ball in a cup any more than I can sink a quarter into a shot glass. It's like I never went to college at all. :sad2: :rotfl:
Things are sloooooowly starting to return to the norm here, at home at least. How 'bout for you?
Insanity, pure insanity. At least WDW will take me away this weekend!

 I never even thought of that - I'd be a nervous wreck, too!

As I was walking around Pop on that first day, enjoying the resort’s theming, I got a little idea. Wouldn’t it be fun for my DIS friends to “walk” along the property with me, reading all of the ‘In this year…” signs that Disney has set up along the pathways and get to experience Tinkerbellarella’s inner monologue?

You should be nodding your head yes right now, by the way.

So, my friends, let’s go for a little stroll.

And you can thank me later.

After you berate me for not telling you what happened with the vibrating phone. ;)

Ahh, Pez. You fill the dispenser, thinking it will last forever and then 3 minutes later you’ve inhaled it all, wonder where it’s gone, and are diagnosed as prediabetic.

1951.jpg

Coincidentally also the year TV tray sales skyrocketed.

1952.jpg

That was before they started selling ad space for Super Bowl commercials.

1953.jpg

Who cares? They aren’t the Red Sox.

Latest and greatest conspiracy theory – 1954 never happened!!!

Or, I somehow missed the picture of that sign.

1955.jpg

Smog, catchier than foke.

1956.jpg

We all know Elvis’ hips were the real stars of THAT show.

1957.jpg

Get with it, Utah!

1958.jpg

A hula hoop now sells for $17.95 plus tax. And the Grammys are no longer an award show so much as they are a fashion show.

1959.jpg

Now, Alaska and Hawaii, play nice with the contiguous states please.

1960.jpg

And in classic ‘Leave It To Beaver’-type style, Disney leaves out that those woman were making 50 cents on every dollar a man made. Also, with the invention of the laser came the invention of the sound effect, “Pew, pew, pew!”

1961.jpg

And miniskirts are now shown in the halls of your local middle school. I’m never having children.

1962.jpg

Why couldn’t Sam Walton have done something else? Anything else? Like try to marked mashed potato flavored ice cream? Instead we have become the United States of WallyWorld. UGH.

1963.jpg

And so the days of food porn were born.

1964.jpg

Justin Beiber scoffs at your 10,000 screaming fans.

1965.jpg

And my eyes say thank you.

1966.jpg

Trekkies everywhere are saying thank you. And William Shatner is wondering where his career went.

1967.jpg

One of the few Disney movies I’ve never seen start to finish.

1968.jpg

And the “drunken 2 a.m. $400 withdrawal before hitting up MickeyD’s” is born.

1969.jpg

And the hippies rejoiced.

1970.jpg

So, um, in February, can I just run around the World Showcase 4 times and call it a day?

1971.jpg

And bank accounts everywhere are suddenly devoid of funds. An unexplainable occurrence that continues today.

1972.jpg

And women never see their husbands/boyfriends/brothers/sons again.

1973.jpg

Size doesn’t matter.

1974.jpg

Coincides with celebrities no longer having any kind of private life.
