I'll tell you what happened!
We were in the WRONG SPOT!
Sarah and I watched everyone else follow the Fife and Drum Corps into the American Adventure building, but we stayed planted on our bench, not getting the hint.
Finally, after waiting about 10 minutes, we decided to check inside the building. And there they were!

Voices of Liberty!

On their last song!
Maybe it was that we were very tired that day, maybe it was that we were sad about our last day, maybe it's just cuz we're airheads sometimes. Whatever the reason, we didn't think to check inside the building and we missed almost all of the show. What we did see was incredible. And I can't wait to see Voices of Liberty, in their entirety, again when we go back.
Just as VOL finished up, my phone rang. It was Beth, Jason, and baby Blaize. They had arrived at Epcot.

And they were to meet us in Norway for lunch.
We dined at Kringla Bakery og Cafe. I had a roast beef sandwich, seafood soup, and a veiled maiden. The sandwich was delicious. The veiled maiden was great, according to my notes, but I can't remember what it was!
Here's a pic of the mess that was our lunch. So much food!
As for the seafood soup, it was very tasty, but my stomach did not appreciate it. I felt kinda icky after I ate the soup, so I only had a little bit of it.
Sarah had the Gravlax and egg sandwich, which she said was delicious.
Here's a cute little monster, all dressed up for Halloween
After lunch, we headed into the church in Norway and read about all the Vikings. That was very interesting.
Then Sarah had to leave.

She was going to take Magical Express to the airport, and her flight was a little earlier than the rest of us, she she headed back to AKL to catch the bus to MCO. So sad.
Now it was time to get our shop on. I was so good this trip...I spent very little money. I didn't spend very much on food or souvenirs or clothes or anything. But I realized that I had forgotten to get my mom a souvenir. She is a huge Disney fan like me, so it would have been very neglectful to leave her out!
I found a super cute t-shirt for her in the Mousegear store. (Is that what it's called?)
Beth had been eyeing Mickey
Crocs all week. She seemed very sad today and I wanted her to cheer up so we would end our trip on a good note. So I secretly bought some Mickey Crocs.
I presented Beth with the Mickey Crocs and it did the trick! Her mood was deifinitely better.
Just the other day, I was talking to Beth on the phone and she said that every time Blaize (now 7 months old) sees the Crocs, he starts laughing a big belly laugh. Smart kid!
I must have been raving about Turtle Talk, because B and J wanted to see it before we left. Again, it was HILARIOUS! And again, I think they handed out crazy pills to the kiddos before the show.
After Turtle Talk, we all had one last Mickey ice cream bar. YUM!!!!
Then, it was time for the inevitable. Time to say good-bye to Epcot.
We went to the car and drove back to AKL. We picked up our bags from bell services and jam packed the call full of our junk. Then it was time to head to MCO.
I think Jason really didn't want to go home because on the way to the airport, he got off the interstate to get gas and he totally got us lost!
Eventually, we found our way to the airport and headed inside. I said goodbye to B, J, and B and checked my bag.
And who happened to be at the gate next to me waiting for her flight?
Sarah!
So Sarah and I sat together and filled in all the details in my journal so I could write this trip report!
About the airport, let me tell you, Halloween must be one of the deadest (no pun intended) days of the year for flying. There seemed to be NO ONE at the airport. It was very nice. Oh, and all the Southwest counters were having a contest for the best Halloween decorations. It was great to see all the decorations. As I said before, I LOVE Halloween and I was pretty sad that I wasn't going to be able to hand out candy to trick or treaters. So I was glad that the Southwest people were in the Halloween spirit!
It was time for Sarah to board, so we said good-bye.
About 40 minutes later, it was my turn.
The flight was uneventful.
DH picked me up at the airport in Phoenix at about 10:30 p.m. And he had brought the dogs with him! I was so happy to see all three of them. We headed back to our house and I just about fell into my bed. It was the end of another FABULOUS Disney trip. And this time, we definitely TRIED to do it right, but I did learn a lot of things that I will apply to my next trip...
Up next,
What have we learned?
and
When's the next trip?
