This time last year DS, DD and I were winging our way over the Atlantic for our first Christmas in Florida. We had a fantastic time but when we were there I felt that I wouldn't want to go back again at Christmas..... why then do I feel so down that we are here and not there :confused3

To everyone who's lucky enough to be in or going to Florida this Christmas - hope you have a really great time :santa:

I have to wait end of Nov next year before we go and green with envy i'm not going this year with everyone else .
If only we could have it all life would be easy:laughing:

Thanks Jakki, I promise we'll have a fab time

I can appreciate why Christmas is so off-putting, it's so busy and the lines for rides are crazy - but if it's a choice of that or being here in rainy Nuneaton, then a line for It's a Small World (aarrgghh !!) will win every time :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hope you have a lovely Christmas anyway Jakki :santa:

Give me the line for It's a Small World over the one at our local supermarket anytime :thumbsup2

Have a great time Mandy and enjoy the cruise pirate:

I know what you mean. We usually go just after Xmas for a few days but I was so tired when I got back after last years vacation that I decided not to do it again this year, and now I'm regretting it. Somehow I'd take the tiredeness and crowds over not going.

Know just how you feel:hug: ,we too were in WDW for Christmas last year.
Really wishing we were going this year, but eldest son wanted traditional Christmas at home this year.I have been trying to recreate the osbourne family lights by playing festive carols and turning the lamps on and off in time to the music:santa:

That's exactly how I feel - also I'm an only child and my mum and dad are in their mid 70's so I know I'm not going to be able to miss anymore Christmases with them so I can't see us getting back at Christmas for a while yet

I just said that to DD2 five minutes ago, she asked what I was doing, I said "nothing much, messing around, but this time last year we were haring around packing and getting up early on Sat morning for the drive to Heathrow"

I'd go again like a shot, as long as it wasn't just Christmas week!!

I wouldn't even mind Christmas week - this was my view on Christmas morning last year
