This time I'LL be the GUIDE!- Aug 2016 PTR (UPTD 8/12- first time for everything!)

That sounds like a lot of personal stress for you and your family right now. It is great that your siblings have new career opportunities and it is exciting that you are going to explore something new! I completely agree that you should do what you love. So much of our lives is spent at work, we shouldn't hate every minute of it!

I added you on instagram! I am @lessapol.

Ok Su-Lynn, you get your own reply post!

Apparently DISboards has not been updating me with your PTR updates butI am all caught up now...

:cool1:

BTW, do you know what FP+ you will be making? There is that tier system for all parks except for MK so you can't make FP+ for Soarin AND Test Track. So you can make one FP+ for Soarin and try and catch TT first thing in the morning. I would definitely make Soarin FP+ because I think it will be very popular due to the new movie coming out June 17. Or unless you want to see the new Frozen Ever After ride...I think that will be insanely popular but not sure what tier that is in. Most likely it will be in the Same tier as Soarin and TT
clip_image001.gif

I knew about the tier system…I thought Soarin and M:S were on the same tier? I guess I have more to learn about FP+! I have already planned a Soarin FP+ for the night I arrive. I hope I’ll be able to get it!

Oh my gosh, I have completely forgotten about the new Frozen ride~! Well, this is why I always spent 2 days at Epcot!

It is, but really only for the first 45 minutes then it starts getting exponentially more crowded. Do you have park hoppers? Sometimes I skip early morning EMH unless there is a ride that I must do. I will do EMH and then park hop to another less crowded park.

I don’t have park hoppers…I’m hoping the crowds won’t be so bad in late August.

It saves a lot of time, especially for breakfast. If you happen to get a pre-park opening breakfast and pre-order your meal, you are in and out of there in like 35 minutes and are one of the first people to ride 7DMT that day!

Yeah, I think my family will appreciate not having to stand in line in order.

Hmm, are they more afraid of speed or heights? If they don't' like heights then ToT is out of the question. Most people are scared of heights (like me) but like speed, so I very much like RnRC even though there are drops in it! I would suggest RnRC but that's because I like it a lot!

I think I’ll have to find out! I think my CS is more afraid of heights…but I’ll check with her!

My little brother used to be afraid of outdoor coasters, so he couldn’t do EE but was fine with RnR.

Hmm, Anchor Bar for buffalo wings! I guess cos it's the original. Otherwise, I have no idea what to do in the area. Oh wait, if the Buffalo Bills are having a pre-season game you may want to catch that. Tickets are usually cheap.

Oooh, a game sounds cool! I’ll look into it, thanks!

Sci Fi Dine in has the best ambiance. I think it's really cool to be dining in cars in the dark watching random movies. The food is ok. Typical food like burgers, fries, onion rings, milkshakes, but they do have pasta and stuff too.

Hmmmm, a lot of people have said the food isn’t great. I don’t think my Chinese relatives would appreciate a place that charges so much for OKAY food.

Just give me the dates! I'd love to join if we can!! I also realize I'm so much older than you...but we're both kids at heart, right?
clip_image002.gif

We’re definitely both kids at heart!!

Btw, Andrew and I will be trying to get tickets into NYCC. If we are able to go, I’d love to meet up with you!

My birthday trip will likely be around Nov 3 (my birthday).

Oh no that is a long commute for a job you dont' like!

Tell me about it!

Good for you Yuki!!

Thanks Su-Lynn! I’ve put a lot of thought into it and I had a lot of reservations but it feels like the right thing to do right now.

This sounds like an amazing opportunity to do what you love!! If you're ever in the DCP I'm gonna come down there and visit you!

That would be great! It would be a dream come true if I can get into DCP.

First off congrats to your brother and sister on their new job opportunities! Are they excited for them? Hope your sis gets the job!

Thanks! My brother has never lived on his own so he’s a bit worried about going all the way to Vancouver.

I really hope my sister gets that flight attendant job. Family discount!!! :rotfl2:

Sorry about your parent's business, things move so quickly in Asia now. One minute the market is up and the next it's down. It must be tough for them to be so far away from you guys too! I think it's a good decision to sell the townhouse since your family will be spread out all over the place. How old is your sister? I'm sure she'll be fine living on her own once she gets used to it. Staying with your family is fun but you become dependent. I'm trying to convince my sister (Chunkysis, who still lives with my parents) that it's about time she get her own place. But she won't. LOL.

Yeah…the economy in China is so volatile. We haven’t seen them in over a year.

My sister is 25 but she’s VERY paranoid. She doesn’t even like being in the house alone.

I think she’ll be staying with Andrew and I until our parents move back to Canada.

Thanks for thinking of me to get excited about your trip!!! I'm excited for you!! Lots of new things at WDW now and so happy you guys will be back!

Thanks for writing such a great TR! Your enthusiasm really rubs off on me and reminds me of how much I love WDW!

BTW, I'm going to plan a big family trip with all my sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephew in August of 2017...you'll have to let me know how the crowds are. I'm expecting some pretty bad heat, so I've warned them...but it's the only time they can go!

Woooow, how many of you in total? My experience with Aug crowds have generally been pretty low. But times have changed so I’ll let you know how this year goes!

Oh yeah, Chinese people love their seafood! This will be a must do on our big family trip next year!

Absolutely! All you can eat KING CRAB LEGS!!!! :thumbsup2

Defnitely! I even got it for just me and DH! Otherwise we'd never have pictures of the 2 of us, just silly selfies. And now they ahve ride videos and video magic shots...super cool!

Yeah, all the new stuff sounds great! I think with all these PP photogs everywhere, it’s become a lot more worth it for just two people.

My favorite park too!

It’s my tradition to visit Epcot first on every trip. It just doesn’t feel right otherwise!

I've yet to eat here! I wish I spent more time at Disney Springs.

It’s SOOOOOOOO good! And such great prices too.

Ditto, wish I spend more time at Disney Springs when I'm here!

I try to spend at least 1 day here. I can’t get enough of it!

When I go on cruises departing from Florida, I always spend my disembarkation day here and then spend a night near the airport. It makes the transition to land a lot easier :cool1:

so cute!! I love all their stuff! Don't have much Tsum Tsums myself but I buy a lot for my nieces!

Yes me too!!! I can’t get enough of Tsum Tsums!

It does scream Disney. It's really well themed. And I do like the grey stuff! But I like the grey stuff cupcake ( I think it's called the masters's cupcake) which they only have at lunch, better than the thing they have at dinner which is grey stuff over a harder chocolate cookie thing.

I think that cupcake is what I’ll be getting at lunch. Can’t wait!

I am partial to the grey goose version but mmmm looks sooo good!

Yeees, this picture makes me lick my lips :lovestruc

I love it! I just wish it wasn't so short.

That’s what I hear people saying~ I guess I’ll have to experience it myself to see.

Wait, what, a Skipper with no puns?!?! Outrageous!

I know right??? The Cantonese one is FILLED with puns. I don’t know Mandarin enough to know if they made puns but I didn’t really hear people laugh.

The English version is just a skipper literally guiding you through the Jungle Cruise. But the ride is SOOO cool that you don’t even mind.

discovered it for the first time last year and had a great time!

It’s one of my favourite places!

The best stuff on the planet!

Mmmmhmmm!

DH likes this game!! I think he just likes to collect cards though. He always checks in then collects the next pack of cards without actually playing the game that much, lol.

I just read about this on your current TR! :rotfl2:

My DH likes to collect the cards too but he still has fun with the games.

I really do hope you catch it, as it's soooo awesome! But the Star Wars fireworks is now my favorite nighttime show...

Haha, that doesn’t surprise me at all!! I can’t wait to see that.

You are right, despite being annoyed at the buses sometimes, you definitely feel like it's the quintessential WDW experience! Do they have transport like this at HK or Tokyo DL?

HKDL has a dedicated subway line and station. Their resort transport is much like the DME buses. No music or special announcements.

TDR has regular buses that service the resort. But they don’t have recordings like at WDW. The bus driver is the one that make announcements and they’re usually really cute!!!

Definitely! There is nothing like staying onsite!

You said it sister!

Awesome! You will be a pro!

Thanks!! I like showing off to my family :groom:

Yes!! Such a good ride

I’m not good at it though! But it’s so much fun!

I follow you on instagram already but gonna check out your vlogs! So exciting!

Thanks for following! And for checking out my channel!

Yes I'd love to hear what you've been up to!

Ok, then I’ll put up an update about it. How do I sum up 2 yrs in one post???

All caught up!!
Didn't have much DIStime lately and just now read your real life update. I hope selling the house goes off without a hitch.

I just love your list of what you look forward to. You will be surprised, as there are quite a few new things and I am sure you won't recognize Disney Springs. Not everything was open in March, but it has GROWN!!!

Ok Su-Lynn, you get your own reply post!

Woohoo!

I think mission space is on a different tier than Soarin because I'm always able to get the two on the same day. It think TT and Soarin are in the same tier right now so we can never get both FP+. :(
Maelstrom used to be part of this tier as well, and I am assuming the new Frozen ride will be too? They just want to make it more difficult for you to ride the headliner rides.

I don’t have park hoppers…I’m hoping the crowds won’t be so bad in late August.

Cool. I think you will be perfectly fine with non park hoppers. I am proposing this to my family next year. With their small kids I don't' think they can do park hopping as much so it'll probably be better for them.

Yeah, I think my family will appreciate not having to stand in line in order.
Yeah it's really cool, you just walk in, check in with them, and sit down. They bring the food right to you. It's almost like table service because you don't need to go to the counter to order!

I think I’ll have to find out! I think my CS is more afraid of heights…but I’ll check with her!

My little brother used to be afraid of outdoor coasters, so he couldn’t do EE but was fine with RnR.

I don't do EE but I am fine with RnR too. Can't stand ToT! :crazy2:

Oooh, a game sounds cool! I’ll look into it, thanks!

We went one year for a Bears game and I think it was in August so definitely think it'll be around the time you're going.
Did you want to see the Niagara falls as well? Although I think the view from the Canadian side is supposed to be better though.
Also there's some sandwich that's popular there called a Beef m Weck. Think it's like a roast beef sandwich. I can't remember where we ate ours but there are a lot of places that serve it.

Hmmmm, a lot of people have said the food isn’t great. I don’t think my Chinese relatives would appreciate a place that charges so much for OKAY food.

I think the food is decent to good, it's just not that exciting. I think their strengths are in the appetizers like the dips, fried pickes, etc, burgers, and milkshakes. You can't go wrong with those at Sci Fi! I think experiencing the ambiance and sitting in little cars is something cool, even for Chinese people!

We’re definitely both kids at heart!!

I'm the old wrinkly kid though, who can barely see, LOL :magnify: Seriously, I need to wear reading glasses now that I'm getting older. It never occurred to me that I wouldn't be able to see things up close. I always assumed I wouldn't see further away (I'm nearsighted and wear contacts).

Btw, Andrew and I will be trying to get tickets into NYCC. If we are able to go, I’d love to meet up with you!

OH YEAH!!!!!! THat would be awesome!! I usually work at my friends booth all weekend and a half day Friday. You need to stop by if you're around. We're called Muteki Sales.

My birthday trip will likely be around Nov 3 (my birthday).

It's just around the corner from our anniversary (Nov 1st) and in 2018 it will be our 10 year anniversary!! That sounds like a good time to go to WDW!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Su-Lynn! I’ve put a lot of thought into it and I had a lot of reservations but it feels like the right thing to do right now.

That is great news, then you'll be able to help all of us book our Disney trips, hehehe.

That would be great! It would be a dream come true if I can get into DCP.

And get us some awesome cast member discounts...:rolleyes1

Thanks! My brother has never lived on his own so he’s a bit worried about going all the way to Vancouver.

I really hope my sister gets that flight attendant job. Family discount!!! :rotfl2:

Hope your family gets settled in their new roles. It's just a learning curve and soon they will be independent before you know it!

Yeah…the economy in China is so volatile. We haven’t seen them in over a year.

I hope you get to see them soon!

Thanks for writing such a great TR! Your enthusiasm really rubs off on me and reminds me of how much I love WDW!

You're welcome! And I'm so glad you are back! There is nothing like reading other people's TR to get you into the mood to go back! I have to stop reading because I get jealous I'm not there...

Woooow, how many of you in total? My experience with Aug crowds have generally been pretty low. But times have changed so I’ll let you know how this year goes!

About 16 for now with the potential to be more/less. We're thinking of 2nd to 3rd week of august. We have to fit it in between everyone's school and work schedules.

Absolutely! All you can eat KING CRAB LEGS!!!! :thumbsup2

You will absolutely have to let me know if this is worth it!

Yeah, all the new stuff sounds great! I think with all these PP photogs everywhere, it’s become a lot more worth it for just two people.

It definitely is. And now there are even more new magic shots and ride videos etc. It's gonna be so much fun!

It’s my tradition to visit Epcot first on every trip. It just doesn’t feel right otherwise!

That's a good tradition :thumbsup2

It’s SOOOOOOOO good! And such great prices too.

I try to spend at least 1 day here. I can’t get enough of it!

Definitely have to spend more time at Downtown Disney Springs

I try to spend at least 1 day here. I can’t get enough of it!When I go on cruises departing from Florida, I always spend my disembarkation day here and then spend a night near the airport. It makes the transition to land a lot easier :cool1:

Good idea!

Yes me too!!! I can’t get enough of Tsum Tsums!

I just bought a tsum tsum t-shirt! Maybe I will wear it in Disneyland!

I think that cupcake is what I’ll be getting at lunch. Can’t wait!

It's so yummy!

That’s what I hear people saying~ I guess I’ll have to experience it myself to see.

7DMT is a great ride though, very nicely themed, smooth for a coaster, just too short!

Haha that's really funny. I'd love to see that for myself one day. I can' speak Cantonese and can barely speak Mandarin. So pun-less English it is for me!

I just read about this on your current TR! :rotfl2:

My DH likes to collect the cards too but he still has fun with the games.

Haha the DH's should go play together and amass a card collection.

HKDL has a dedicated subway line and station. Their resort transport is much like the DME buses. No music or special announcements.

TDR has regular buses that service the resort. But they don’t have recordings like at WDW. The bus driver is the one that make announcements and they’re usually really cute!!!

That's cool! Do the bus drivers speak English?

Thanks!! I like showing off to my family :groom:

Hehe, this will be me next year...but with all the planning and coordination I may just have to hide out with a dole whip and send everyone on their way (with a spreadsheet, of course)

Thanks for following! And for checking out my channel!

You are too cute in your videos!! I can't wait to see your Disney ones.

Ok, then I’ll put up an update about it. How do I sum up 2 yrs in one post???

You can do it!! I'd love to hear what you guys have been up to what where you both have traveled to!

Yay for going back to school! That is so exciting, and for travel and tourism! That is pretty awesome! Very scary at the same time but you have to enjoy life and being stuck in a job you don't like is just a big NO! But boo to having a horrible boss. Having to deal with that on a daily basis is soul sucking!

Yeah, I’m really excited to jump into the world of tourism! I feel like there’s no time like the present to do it. I’m just glad that I have an out for this job which is why I’m still working here. The turnover rate here is SO HIGH that nobody lasts more than a few months.

Oh man to the house selling and all the other family crazy on. I hate when things get like that and it just seems like EVERYTHING is happening and you sit there wondering what it was like just to have regular non exciting life happening! lol I hope it calms down and everything works itself out nicely!

Haha, exactly! I feel like there’s so much going on it’s kind of overwhelming.

Yay ToT is DH's favorite ride as well and it has to be my 2nd or 3rd. Just love the theming(pretty sad to hear that the bar they were going to open there is now not happening, hopefully that will change again!)! And wait till you get your ride video on ToT! I agree, Memory Maker is awesome. While it is a bit pricey we loved it on our 2014 trip. It was just nice to not have to worry about getting pics with our camera at character meet and greets and then all the fun spots around the park. I really made an effort to stop for pics everytime we saw Photo Pass.

Heehee, how does it feel to refer to him as your DH? Yeah, I think I remember he told me that too.

I actually started watching the Twilight Zone because of the ride and now I appreciate it even more! DHS is my 2nd favourite park. Yeah, I’m really bummed about that bar. It sounded so awesome!

Oooh Disney Springs! I'm getting overwhelmed at how much seems to be there now...more so on deciding where to eat!!!!!

I’m really excited to discover more of Disney Springs! And yes, deciding where to eat is going to be TOUGH! Do I stick with old favourites (EoS) or try new things (Aristocrepes)? Decisions Decisions!

Oh! You may have already heard this but for a faster(more fun in my opinion) ride on 7DMT ask to ride in the very back. It will be so much faster then the front!

Yeah, I have heard that! If I’m able to ride it once, I think I’ll try front AND back!

Love that you are excited for Rafikis Planet Watch! SO many people skip it but I think its fun and can be a nice break away. I want to see if I can find a schedule of operation/checkups before our trip and see if theres anything we might be able to see!

Yeah, it’s such a hidden gem! One of my favourite parts of my first trip with Andrew was when we just hung out there, colouring at the kids’ table.

Okay just added you on IG! I'm the one with the green cupcake looking avatar! And I'll have to check out your channel too!

YESS! And I’ve followed back. I love your cake! I want to share wedding pics with you too!

Wow! So much to take in. Sorry for the difficulties for your family members, and your job too. Seems to be a lot of that going around right now. YAY to going back to school and in Travel! Goid job for a DISer.
clip_image001.gif

Thanks Tammie. It’s a lot to wrap my head around, that’s for sure.

We really liked ASMu when we were there! I think you will too. I might lose my DIS card, too, but we don't card for illuminations. It is usually time for us to leave and best the crowds.

Yeah, reading about your stay got me excited! Yeah, in previous years we would miss it because we would be so tired. I should definitely see it at least once though, haha

I hope things work out for you. Congrats on your vlog! I will look you up. DS Mark has one with his adopted and foster babies... it's called PLUS 5.

Thanks Tammie! I saw a video you posted up. It’s really interesting! Becoming foster parents is something I’ve discussed with DH.

I followed you back~ I could tell right away who you were.

Yeah, I’m really happy to be going after my dream. I just can’t believe it took me this long and a different degree to figure it out, you know?

All caught up!!

Didn't have much DIStime lately and just now read your real life update. I hope selling the house goes off without a hitch.

I just love your list of what you look forward to. You will be surprised, as there are quite a few new things and I am sure you won't recognize Disney Springs. Not everything was open in March, but it has GROWN!!!

I hope selling the house will go smoothly too. I’m pretty stoked about Disney Springs. I’m feeling giddy now just thinking of exploring it! :goodvibes

Just checking in and keeping up!!
:thumbsup2

Good NEWS everyone!!!

The title is meant to be read in the voice of Professor Farnsworth from Futurama.

My new citizenship certificate has arrived!!! :dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:

I cried tears of joy when I opened the envelope. The ETA was said to be 5 months and it arrived in 1.5 months since I mailed it in! The funny thing is, at the same time I got their letter telling me they had just received my application was about to process it, haha.

So that’s one headache gone! I can renew my passport with my new name without having to rush anything. I don’t have to change my name on my ticket. Everything has worked out!!!

I just couldn’t wait to share this wonderful news with you guys. :grouphug:

At the same time, my DME papers have arrived. This will be the first time I won’t be using the luggage tags because we’re flying carry-on only.

My window for FP+ bookings are coming up soon and I haven’t finalized everything yet! I’ll post up what I have in mind so I can get everyone’s advice again.

:disrocks:

I don’t have park hoppers…I’m hoping the crowds won’t be so bad in late August.
Good luck with that............. :rolleyes1

Hmmmm, a lot of people have said the food isn’t great. I don’t think my Chinese relatives would appreciate a place that charges so much for OKAY food.
I'm one who wasn't that overly impressed with the food. It is good but not what I consider great. It is a fun experience to, but I really wish they would lengthen the horror film video. It gets a little old by the time you finish your meal. :rolleyes2

My new citizenship certificate has arrived!!! :dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:
Great News!!!! Glad it all worked out. :woohoo:

FP+ planning

Here are the FP+ I hope to be making on the coming Monday.

Day 1 @ Epcot : Soarin, Test Track

I hope I’ll be able to get afternoon FPs for these rides! We arrive in MCO around 1pm so we hope to make it to the park by 3pm. Will try to do M:S on standby if we can stay up that late.

Day 2 @ HS: TSM, Star Tours, Indiana Jones

I decided to avoid AM EMH and switch up AK with HS. I’m hoping to get these starting from mid-morning on and start my day with RnR and ToT. If we’re lucky, we may be able to grab afternoon TSM FP+ after our first 3. Muppet Vision 3D will be closed during our trip. I was really hoping to show my cousins what 3D movies USED to be like.

Day 3 @ AK: Safaris, Kali, Dinosaur

I’ll be making Safari for the mid-morning, Kali after lunch, and Dinosaur in the afternoon. I hope to get a few rounds on EE first thing. I’d also love to get an evening FP+ for Safari.

Day 4 @ REST

Day 5 @ Epcot: M:S, Test Track, Spaceship Earth

If I’m able to do M:S on the first night, I might try to switch this one to Frozen Ever After because that’s Tier 1. If not, I want to try to get an afternoon FP+ for that ride. It’s probably unlikely I’ll get to ride it on this trip though. What do you guys think?

Day 6 @ MK: 7DMT, Peter Pan, Enchanted Tales

As per Marv’s advice, I’ll be doing 7DMT standby first thing before riding it again with FP+. As soon as we’re done these rides, I’ll be making an FP+ for Buzz or Splash. BTMR will be closed during our trip  IASW will also be closed :yay:

What do you guys think? I’m open to suggestions!

Unless something has changed you won't be able to do this as these are both tier 1. I hate the tier system, so annoying!

Darn it, I can't wrap my head around their tiers. If anything, I hope to ride the SR line~! They only have so many headliners and they're ALL TIER ONE

Darn it, I can't wrap my head around their tiers. If anything, I hope to ride the SR line~! They only have so many headliners and they're ALL TIER ONE
You can do Mission Space along with one of those two. Typically we make Soarin a little later in the morning, head straight for TT and if the line is already longer than we want to wait, we will do SR line. On occasion, we will also do Sum of All Thrills first thing also because it doesn't take long for the SB line to get crazy for that ride. After TT and SoAT, we usually have our FP+ for M:S while we are in the area, then head across to Soarin. If you do get to work the Frozen ride into your plans, just remember that WS isn't open until 11:00, so that is the earliest you can plan a FP+ for it. My gut tells me, do the others early enough you can be at the rope for WS before 11:00, and head straight to Norway so you can walk on when the line is the shortest, if FP+ plans don't work out. You shouldn't have any problem on day one getting your FP+ ressies for the afternoon. A lot of people book early in hopes they can get done and luck out with another one, so the morning times seem to fill more, especially if you book as soon as your window opens.

AK you can get your fill of EE early, especially if you don't mind doing SR line. Sounds like a good plan for DHS with booking the FP+ a little later, and heading straight for ToT and RnR. Don't forget that you have the SR option for RnR. At MK, you can book your 7DMT about 30 minutes after opening and if you are at RD and head straight there, you should be able to get in a ride via SB first and before your FP+ time comes available. If you do it first thing, you can usually get through SB in 20-30 minutes, and the SB line is something you definitely want to experience at least once. They did a good job with it and it has a lot of cool stuff. :thumbsup2

Good luck with that............. :rolleyes1
:smooth:

I'm one who wasn't that overly impressed with the food. It is good but not what I consider great. It is a fun experience to, but I really wish they would lengthen the horror film video. It gets a little old by the time you finish your meal. :rolleyes2
I keep going back and forth on this....I think ultimately I want to save them money so we'll pass on this trip.

Great News!!!! Glad it all worked out. :woohoo:
Thanks Marv!

So glad that everything worked out! One less thing to stress about!
Absolutely!

Great news Yuki!! Now you're all set on that front! Yay for less stress!
Thanks Su-Lynn!

MINI REAL LIFE UPDATE

I decided to quit the job I was at. I didn't want to continue to take part in my own abuse. I'm surprised I stayed for as long as I did. There were many red flags that came up since I started working there and I'm so glad I got myself out of that situation.
I'm hoping to get a position as a camp counsellor for the summer. I used to do this while I was still in school and I really loved it!

:thanks: for reading along and for all your support!

You can do Mission Space along with one of those two.

According to Touringplans.com and Allears.net, these are the tiers as of Mar 2016:
Group A (Choose 1 attraction)

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
Soarin'
Test Track
Living with the Land
Mission: SPACE Green
Mission: SPACE Orange

Group B (Choose 2 attractions)

Disney/Pixar Short Film Festival
Journey Into Imagination With Figment
Spaceship Earth
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Turtle Talk with Crush
Epcot Character Spot

So I guess M:S has recently joined the Tier 1 list. :(

Yuki, I booked FP about 2 weeks ago and MS was still a tier 2. I tried to change one of my FP (only tried to see the tiers) and MS was listed as tier 2.

Great news on the citizenship certificate. Guess there should not be any more "stones" in your way to a passport.

If it changed, it has been since November when we were there. I'm not saying that maybe it hasn't or won't be during your trip Yuki, but if it has that is totally ridiculous on Disney's part. Pretty much everything in the Tier 2 list you have doesn't even need a FP...........unless you just happen to hit it at the wrong time when a huge crowd just arrived. Otherwise, pretty much every one of them is a walk on. :headache:

Interesting...I think it's just Disney's way of redistributing the crowds, especially during the summer months. I hope you get everything you want!
Oh sad that BTMR and IASW will be closed while you are there...but you'll get to see the new SW fireworks, which I just saw the live feed of...and I'm super jealous...makes me want to fly down there right away!

Yes, the tier thing stinks. They just added the new Frozen rise to tier 1 also.

I do what a PP does. FP for Soarin for sure with the new movie. Have you seen pics of the lines? Yikes! :scared1:

Another thing do do for TT is to go back and ride it just before or during illuminations. We are not fans of Illuminations, so easy choice for us.
