**This Relaxation Thing Looks GOOD On Us!-Our July 2012 Honeymoon**NEW TR LINK!!!!!!!

Loved your update. Too funny about the family of the day getting the gate guarder's chairs.

I love your dress at Ohana! Perfect for you.

Looking forward to reading more. :surfweb:

Great TR!! Looks like you had a great honemoon trip! Your EMH night at MK looked like fun -- how did you make it the next day!?!?

We will be staying at POR for the first time in June. Any recs while we are there?

I have thoroughly enjoyed your trip report, my husband and I honeymooned in Disney twenty-eight years ago. We have been privileged to have stayed at both the Yacht Club and POR. It was fun reliving our past experiences through your lovely photographs. I enjoyed your wedding photos and wished I could have been creative in my choice of wedding venue. The Belugas were keenly interested in your nuptials and will make interesting stories to share with your someday children :rotfl2:.

Mmmm.. I think I want some of that dessert right now! I've heard about Ohana being rushed at dinner and never bothered to try it. This is tempting..

The guy guarding the entrance was great. Too funny that he didn't get the spot he wanted. I can see myself laughing over that! How annoying about the weather for you though.

Love that last pic of you! The Poly is just heavenly, isn't it? All of your pictures are making me miss it so much. I wanna go back!!

That guy guarding the entrance of the pool is funny! Although I can someone in my family doing that like my brother or even my daughter.

Haha, he had a goal and he was committed to it!

Love relaxing days at the pool (or lazying in the room watching tv) especially on the last day! It really helps unwind after a full trip of taking all the Parks in (on our last trip, DS30 and DS19 stayed behind at the Community Hall at BWV to play ping pong instead of joining me and DS25 at Epcot).

I love your dress you wore to O'Hana! How pretty you look! We still haven't tried O'Hana yet (sort of hard when 3/4's of our family don't eat meat). Love the Polynesian Resort too - so pretty :goodvibes

We always need relaxing days by the end of our trips! As much as we try to take it easy, we end up exhausted by the end! We also like to spend time in the arcades...we have an air hockey rivalry between us for sure!

Thanks you! Sundresses worked out really well for me in the summer heat! I wore bike shorts underneath to help with getting in and out of rides and I was good to go!

That guy was too much!

Thanks, sundresses were super comfortable in the summer heat!

We had such an amazing time on our trip!! That Magic Kingdom night was amazing...I can't wait to do it again some day! We had a relaxing resort day the next day. We slept in, rented a boat, played in the arcade, etc. It really helped us to recover from such a late night!

We really enjoyed POR, it is such a pretty resort! We thought renting a boat was a lot of fun, so I definitely recommend that!! They have a nice arcade as well. The make your own pasta in the food court is fabulous as well! HAVE FUN!

Thanks! Congrats on 28 years!!

I am so happy we chose the aquarium for our wedding. It was something none of our guests had seen before, and that beluga just made it perfect!!!

Ohhh, that bread pudding is totally worth it! And the potstickers...those are my favorite!! I think 'Ohana is fun for dinner. Just don't let them rush you...that's what we did. We took our time eating and when we wanted more of something, we asked.

That guy at the pool was too funny. He got the chairs right next to the ones he wanted, but he was still upset!

The Poly is so beautiful! We hope to stay there some day for sure!

Before I continue on with the last evening of our trip, I thought you all might like to see some of my favorite photos from India!

Taj Mahal…absolutely breathtaking. It was extremely crowded though and difficult to navigate. We were lucky that our driver brought a fabulous guide for us on this day. As you can tell it was very foggy in this city.

Now, back to Disney World!

When I left off, we had finished dinner at ‘Ohana and were heading to EPCOT for the evening. We had driven back to the Beach Club from the Polynesian, and we walked straight from the parking lot to the International Gateway. Of course, we had to admire the scenery along the way!

DSC02823_zpsc725baa7.jpg

DSC02824_zps03383a77.jpg

We made it into EPCOT and began our journey through the World Showcase. The goal for the evening was to explore the countries we hadn’t had a chance to see in depth so far on the trip…which was most of them!

We walked through France…not sure why we didn’t explore. We have never been to the bakery there…definitely a stop on the list in a few weeks!

DSC02825_zpsa030074b.jpg

Morocco was our first big stop. We really took the time to explore here. It is such a gorgeous pavilion!

The shopping here is just fabulous. There are so many beautiful and unique items in the shops!

DSC02830_zpsb9588263.jpg

DSC02831_zps2136189d.jpg

Looking at these picture now reminds me a bit of India. Although you can’t bargain the price down at EPCOT!

DSC02832_zpse0415e0e.jpg

We went to a place where they make rugs like this by hand in India….a rug that size would probably take one man about 6 months to make…string by string. Unbelievable!

DSC02833_zps77ed6290.jpg

DSC02834_zps2307f29b.jpg

I almost bought a genie lamp, but I ended up purchasing a really pretty bracelet here. I wear it all the time! Maybe I will get the genie lamp this next time.

As we were headed out of Morocco, Ben confessed to being really tired and hot and just sick of shopping. I knew we would both enjoy the evening better if we got to do what we wanted to do, so I sent him back to the room to relax so I could wander the World Showcase in peace. This was the second time on this trip that we went our separate ways (the first time was when he had his golf lesson), and we found that we kind of enjoy doing our own thing for a bit.

Up next was Japan, where I spent some time checking out the Koi pond.

DSC02836_zpsd58e49cc.jpg

DSC02839_zps618b4d58.jpg

I went into Japan’s store next. There is so much to look at in there! I ended up buying a really neat 3D wedding cake card to my best friend’s wedding this summer. I also got a couple of the little lucky cats and a lucky owl for my desk at work. I almost bought one of the Bonsai Tree kits, but it just seems too complicated…I’m sure I would kill it!

I passed by the American Adventure and Italy next, on my way to Germany.

I would love to try Biergarten some day, but I’m very picky about meat so I’m afraid I wouldn’t like it.

You can’t see them very well in this photo, but this tree was filled with beautiful glass peacock ornaments. I got a blue one and it is in our peacock themed living room now. I love it!

I passed by Norway since I had spent some time there on another day. I did hear an interesting conversation on the way through though…someone in a group asked what country it was, and another member of the group told them it must be “Norland”. I got on facebook with that one right away!

I did stop to snap this picture of the Viking with the sunset though! Not sure why I went in there just for that…he must have insisted on posing. Haha!

DSC02881_zpsaad62ef8.jpg

When I left the Mexico pavilion, it was about 8:30PM. I decided to walk back to the International Gateway through Canada and the UK and enjoy Illuminations from there.

Back at the International Gateway, I found myself a bench and settled in for the fireworks.

DSC02905_zps1a6e77f5.jpg

The show started late, at about 9:15PM. Here was my view!

DSC02907_zpse92339a8.jpg

DSC02909_zps5d5ccad1.jpg

I love how you can see all the people on the bridge in these shots!

DSC02911_zpsefe82d77.jpg

I stayed for about half of the show, and I left during the part in the middle with all the globe action. It was a very muggy night and I was really hot and getting bit by mosquitoes, so I was ready to go. I really enjoyed my spot for watching Illuminations though…it was very peaceful.

As I walked back to the room, my phone battery was about to die, so I sent Ben a text saying to meet me in the lobby if he wanted to play checkers. We had been eyeing the checker board there and this seemed like a good night to make use of it.

In case I haven’t said this enough times, I love the walk from EPCOT to the Beach Club!

DSC02919_zpseb88c97c.jpg

When I got to the lobby, I looked for Ben but I didn’t see him, so I headed up to the room. Ben wasn’t in the room but I was so hot and uncomfortable that I got right into my pajamas and turned the air conditioner on high. It felt so good and I was super comfortable…there was no way I was leaving the room again that night!

I guess I took some room photos though. Here is the hallway from the bed area to the door of the room. The bathroom area is on the left.

At some point I also called Ben. He was out at the movie on the beach and had planned to catch me on the way by. Obviously, he missed me!

Our original plan had been go to Jelly Rolls for the night, but neither of us was into it. He came back to the room and we watched some of the Olympics and packed a bit.

We were in bed by 11:30PM to rest up for our departure day.

Up next: Departure Day @ Downtown Disney!

Norland?!?:rotfl2: What is wrong with the world? That's why I'm going to school to be a teacher.... Seriously, though, that was hilarious. I told my husband and we both just cracked up. Your India pics were amazing, by the way. It looks like you had a lovely time. Sorry you had to deal with the mosquitos on your last night... They can definitely ruin a night. And sorry that you missed out on Jelly Rolls. That was something we wanted to on our honeymoon too, that we also scrapped. We just weren't that into going to a club, so we went to DisneyQuest instead.

Love your Epcot pics! The sunset is so beautiful :goodvibes It's so relaxing just strolling through the countries and seeing things you may have missed on previous trips. I'll be sad that your trip is over!

and omg the pics from India - what an amazing trip and experience!

How cool that you went to India! Love the photos!

You got a ton of great shots in WS as well. I love looking at WS sections of TR's there are always so many little details, you see something new every time.

I definitely wished I wasn't by myself in the Norland moment...I definitely cracked up all on my own though!

Thanks, we had an AMAZING time in India!

The mosquitoes were definitely getting to me...that plus the humidity and I was done. I had seen enough though, so I was happy to stroll back to the room.

Jelly Rolls is on our list for our upcoming trip...maybe we will make it this time! We just have so much trouble cutting back on park time for something like this...but if we don't cut back on park time we are too exhausted to go!

EPCOT is so much fun to photograph!

We were sad that the trip was over too! But we are going back in 25 days!!!

India was indescribable. I look at the photos every day!

Thanks, India was unbelievable! Trip of a lifetime for sure!

The World Showcase is so much fun to explore!!!

Love the India pics!! What a fabulous trip that must've been! Blake is beside me & wants to know if the camels spit on anyone. Thanks so much for sharing those.

Too bad about missing Ben at the end of the day, but what a fun time alone at Epcot. I can't even imagine what it would be like to havs a minute to wander around like that! :thumbsup2 It's awesome that you split up to your own thing. Love the pics.

I'll definitely be using "Norland" next time there now. :rotfl2: People are awesome.

Haha, you can tell Blake that they didn't spit on anyone, but mine definitely had an attitude! She didn't listen very well and kept running off in a different direction from the way the guide wanted her to go!

I'm glad that we tried spending a bit of alone time because we enjoyed it. We might take a little alone time on this next trip as well.

Oh man, I just love the things you can overhear when you listen to other people talking!

I would say a blizzard is a great time to write my final update! We are in the midst of a storm that is expected to put us under more than two feet of snow!

Well, this has taken quite some time, but I have made it to our departure day! Just in time too, because we are only 18 days away from our next trip!!

This is always a sad day…we hate leaving (obviously!). What we discovered on this trip was that, no matter the trip length (this was our longest yet), we will never be ready leave!

I woke up at 8:45AM on this day to finish up my packing. Ben got up at 9:30AM to finish his, and we were out the door at 10:00AM.

DSC02925_zpscf7160da.jpg

Our first mission was to check our luggage in for our flight, so we hopped in line to do that. Then, we got in the car and drove it back to the Car Care Center to drop it off. Once that was done, we waited about 20 minutes for the complimentary shuttle to take us to our destination for the day…Downtown Disney!

We finally got there at about 11:30AM and headed straight to TRex for lunch. We had gotten some giftcards on groupon or some other similar sight, so we wanted to use them…plus we had always wanted to try this place!

DSC02926_zpsb7968ec5.jpg

DSC02927_zpsbeaea92a.jpg

DSC02929_zpsb6f0d141.jpg

We walked up and were seated immediately without an ADR (thanks to getting there so early!). This place is so much fun! There is so much to look at!

And that was just the walk to our table! Here is our view from where we sat.

DSC02936_zps006a083c.jpg

When our waitress came, we ordered drinks. I got a red sangria margarita, which was delicious! Ben got something with Five in the title…maybe it is just called the five? I don’t know…I just wrote “Five”. He says he liked it, but I tried it and it was terrible! I think he was lying!

DSC02938_zpsdd7b2a9a.jpg

DSC02939_zps3505f450.jpg

DSC02941_zpsd173f883.jpg

We also ordered some mozzarella sticks to start. These were really good!!!

DSC02945_zps55640600.jpg

At some point between drinks/appetizer and our entrees, Ben took a trip to the bathroom and took these pictures on his way there!

DSC02949_zpsb47390f4.jpg

How cute is this?!

DSC02950_zps61d70592.jpg

Anyway, on to dinner! Ben ordered ribs, which he absolutely LOVED! I don’t do meat from a bone (I know, I know, I’m a child) but I watched him eat these and they literally fell right off the bone!

DSC02951_zps04b354ac.jpg

I had the Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich, which comes on pizza dough. This was just okay…I thought the dough was kind of bland.

DSC02952_zps96718142.jpg

We were in and out within an hour and spent some time browsing the gift shop on our way out. They have really cute stuff here!

DSC02953_zps7d57d9fc.jpg

On our way out, we also noticed that the line was INSANE! So, definitely get here early if you don’t have an ADR.

We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping around Downtown Disney. In World of Disney, I got a frame, ornament and a golf towel with Grumpy on it for Ben.

Here are some of my favorite things that we saw!

I ended up getting my niece this Cinderella doll when it went on sale on the Disney Store website. They are all so cute!

He found this sign that he needs for Sundays during football season!

DSC02970_zps4eff503d.jpg

DSC02972_zps67f0a17a.jpg

I headed over to Tren-D. They have such cute stuff there!!

DSC02974_zps8cc43097.jpg

We loved these black and white stuffed animals in the Toy Store.

DSC02975_zpsba7b7cce.jpg

The toy store is also where I started looking at books with Ben next to me, and when I started talking to him about how cute a certain book was, I realized it wasn’t him standing next to me anymore! When I realized I said “Aaaand, you aren’t my husband!” He looked at me like I was crazy and walked away. Oh well, what can you do?!!?

DSC02977_zps11a97a47.jpg

Our last stop was the kitchen store. I love the spice and tea section there! We ended up buying some coasters and tea.

Last, we went to Goofy’s where we got a cookie and a rice krispie treat. Yum!

We made a last stop at Earl of Sandwich for some food to take to the airport, and we were on our way. We headed to the bus stop and were reminded of why we LOVED renting a car! It took 1 hour to get from Downtown Disney to the Beach Club. That is INSANE! There were people at the bus stop who had been waiting much longer than us…they were not happy!

At the Beach Club, Ben settled into a seat and I went to the Marketplace to get the Beach Club tshirt I had been wanting.

When I got back, we moved to the checkers table in the lobby and played a game.

DSC02980_zpscb4e0eee.jpg

This view didn’t make it easy to leave!

DSC02981_zps7b6afa21.jpg

Ben used the last counter service credit for a flatbread, and I got some snacks at some point, including these coconut patties. SO GOOD!

DSC02982_zps005220fa.jpg

Too soon, it was time to board the Magical Express. We watched out the window sadly as we left the beautiful Beach Club.

It seems like we always have a very strange bus driver on the way back to the airport, and this time was no different! This guy talked nonstop all the way there (except for during the video) and we couldn’t understand a single word he said!

We had a ton of time once we got to the airport, so we browsed around for a bit. I wanted to got to the Sea World shop to look for the ray plush I had seen at the park but didn’t buy. They had other ones, but not the one I wanted, so no luck there! As a side note, I called when I got home and they were able to ship me one from the park, so keep that in mind!

We sat for a while and ate our Earl of Sandwich, then found our gate and waited for boarding. We boarded and took off on time. It was a bumpy flight, and the seatbelt light was on for almost the entire trip.

Soon enough, we were seeing the lights of Providence and getting ready to land.

We arrived at the airport and were greeted by the same beautiful moon that I had been admiring the night before in EPCOT. It was beautiful, but not as magical!

We were happy to find out car easily and off we went, home to start our new life as a married couple!!

This was an amazing trip. We truly enjoyed every second of the nearly two weeks that we got to be in Disney World. We definitely took our time much more than usual and it worked out great for us, especially in the summer heat!

We will be back in only 18 days! We only have 6 full days this time, plus a half day on our departure day, so I don’t think this trip will be quite as relaxing. That’s okay though…each trip is different and this time I think we feel like doing as much as possible. At least, that’s what I am thinking right now…we will see what actually happens!

We are staying at All Star Sports from February 26 (arriving late at night) until March 5. We have ADRs at Be Our Guest, Narcoosee’s, Chef Mickey’s, Cape May Café, Yak & Yeti and Coral Reef. Some of these are new and some are old favorites for us…we are excited for all of them! We are seeing Cirque du Soleil La Nouba for the first time, which we are also very excited about! We will attend each park at least once, possibly twice for a couple of them. We hope to visit Typhoon Lagoon as well if we get a warm enough day! We are also toying with the idea of a visit to Gatorland. I LOVE the show Gator Boys and this is as close as I can get to something like their gator park.

I hope you will all join me for my trip report when we get home! Thank you, thank you, thank you for reading along and commenting throughout this trip report. I have truly enjoyed writing it and reliving our experiences, and I hope you all enjoyed reading as well!
