So what? Since when did the Disboards become the Gestapo? A cynic can mean a lot of things. Sometimes when someone calls someone cynical, they mean they are distrusting or hard to "move."

But even if it was religious , there are plenty of other rules broken every day here. Usually, they're overlooked unless it gets real bad. And that's where the "sheesh" came in. Unless things have changed in the few weeks I've been away ?

Oh come on. I said "sheesh - I wouldn't call that adamant. I'm not a mind reader - only the OP can answer that question. My point is maybe it was maybe it wasn't. But I just don't think its that big a deal.

How nice he made the wedding about himself instead of the bride and groom.

Unless he was the one who uploaded the video to youtube, I cannot see him making the wedding about himself. He changed the words to honor the couple. Many weddings have singers singing tributes to the bride and groom.

It is similar to the toasts at the reception. The speakers are not making the reception all about them (unless they make a drunken spectacle of themselves), but are honoring the couple with their words or song.

I am one of the most cynical here and absolutely hate, hate religious posts. And while I do think the OP was baiting with a religious type title, the content itself does not lend itself to calling it a religious post.

There are many wedding videos and pics posted on these boards. This is no different.

I'm not offended but if religious posts are against the TOS, this should probably be removed. If it was just "Singing Priest will make you cry" I'd feel differently. However, this was addressed specifically at the "cynics" and, let's be honest, it's not anyone who doesn't think a priest could sing. It's people who are cynical about religion. Which seems like baiting.

Our priest was an awful singer. He used to bring us to tears when he sang but they were tears of laughter.
