This morning I encountered a phenomenon

There was an 8 AM BOG reservation available for every day of my trip. I was able to grab what I’ve been looking for. I’ve never seen that happen before. I feel like I’m being tricked.

Yup, it’s probably that the park opens at 8 now so those reservations aren’t PPO. I have one for our trip at 8 with a 9 am opening. I may keep it regardless of if the hours change but I’ll definitely think about dumping it.

I looked up the park house and with the exception of EMH the park still says it opens at 9:00AM. How would people know that the Hours changed if MK hasn’t updated the info on their site.

It’s Jan 30-Feb 6

That overlaps our trip too. I don’t think they’ve changed hours yet. But, another way people find out is if they know a cast member and their work hours are updated. Not sure how much ahead of official notification that would happen though.

If Disney did change the hours, I assume they don’t change the restaurant hours along with that? So park opening at 8means there’s no way to get a PPO reservation?

There are Early Morning Magic tickets for sale on two of the days during my trip. I assume they’d be unlikely to change the park hours to 8AM on those days or it would be overlapping with the people who paid extra to be in the park early.

I've never found it difficult to get a PPO for BOG however I'd never take one because MK's hours often extend and then your PPO is RD and who wants to waste precious RD time?
Besides I'm not much of a breakfast eater.
I love lunch at BOG.

I figure I can cancel it if they change the hours. We only booked a couple of weeks ago so the early reservations were gone by the time we started looking. I wouldn’t want to be starting my meal right at RD, but I figure we can at least beat the crowds back to fantasy land on those days and get on a couple of rides with minimal lines.

We got a PPO for BOG during our last trip. We ate quickly and then got to ride 7DMT twice in a row and got on Winnie the Pooh line with no wait and then over to PP just after rope drop. That was nice. We were able to save our FPS for different rides.
