This MAY be the Rebels' Best Month Yet!

Andrea- Thanks for the encouragement! Had a great weekend with a little endulgance....FUDGE!

Jen- Sometimes well all just need a break week! I hope you had fun at the lake and accomplished a lot of painting!

James- I hope everything works out with your breathing. I have problems when it is cold out (which is most of the year in MI) and I use Advair, I also use and inhaler before I go out....Ventolin I think. Good luck on getting to a specalist!

Manda- Tree cutting- Arms and legs for XT!! Way to be!

Gretchen- I hope that toe feels better! Funny how something so small can be so important to exercise!

AFM - I just got back from a quick trip to my parent's boat on Lake Michigan. I had a GREAT walk on Sat morning. I got 3 miles in. Nothing like walking with the lake right next to you! Friday on the other hand....well lets just say it is in the past and no looking back! Happy memorial day to everyone!!

:yay:

James - Way to go - I think it is great you signed up for the Lewis & Clark Marathon! :thumbsup2 I am STILL looking for what I want to do after this upcoming weekend as I will not have any races scheduled and that is not good. It is so much easier when you have the motivation of a race on the schedule. Hope your weekend walk was wonderful!

Manda - I hope you enjoyed your 3 days off of work. It is so nice to have days where you have nothing planned. I bet the work you did with the wood was great cross-training.

Gretchen - How is your toe? I am so sorry to hear that it might be infected...it is no fun when your feet hurt. Sounds like you had a good plan to take a bit of a break. I also love everyone's creative cross training!

Nikki - How is it going? I was happy to see that someone else loves walking/running with the lake by your side. We love being at the lake and doing our runs out in nature!

AFM - It was a really great weekend. DH and I did 9.5 miles running on Saturday and 2.5 miles running today. We will be taking it easy this week and are beginning to look forward to our very first 1/2 on Sunday. We also painted most of the day on Saturday and for several hours on Sunday....again, I am counting it as cross training! :goodvibes

We had such warm weather for the weekend (not normal for Minnesota). On Saturday we even jumped off the boat and into the lake...we climbed quickly back into the boat as the water was COLD! It felt great though since we took the dip after our long run. We were able to take a couple of nice boat rides and also do some fishing. Overall....great weekend!

Hope you are all having a happy and healthy weekend!
Jen

Hi Rebels - Hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend!

James - Congrats for registering for your marathon. I bet you'll find much more motivation knowing that you have this goal in mind.

Manda - Cutting down trees is totally cross training. Hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Gretchen
- I hope your toe is recovering and not infected. I have a bad blister on my foot that's been really annoying too. So I feel your pain.

Nikki - Great job on the walk this weekend. I don't run by a lake but i run next to the river here in the city and I just love it. Water is just calming and helps me get through my tough points.

Jen - Great job getting the runs in this weekend. I'm so excited for your first half this weekend. I can't to hear all about it.

AFM - My group run this weekend was good. Humid and hills but I made it through and I'm getting faster. Who knew?? I guess I'm getting stronger. I totally get how one bad choice can derail a person though. After Thursdays missed run I was out of control with my eating right through the weekend. Gained a 1/2 pound and everything. But today's a new day and I'm back on track Rebels. 3 miler scheduled for tonight (even in the heat and humidity here). OH - and I picked up some awesome (and inexpensive) running capris and tops at Target this weekend. If you're in the market, they had some great stuff.

Have a great Tuesday!!!!
