This makes Expedition Everest a touch scarier...

I'm not sure this would make EE scarier? Refurbs/repairs take place all the time on virtually all attractions, Disney or otherwise. :confused3

I just was being silly, I think riding up to the end of the track without the "broken track" looks scarier to me, no edge and all (the video when you click "discuss here")....:rotfl:

I wasn't referring to a refurbishment being scary - although how long it takes can be. :)

I saw a you tube of the broken track facade taken out and you just saw the end of the track and looked like you were going to go off the track and plunge hundreds of feet. It did really look scary. I think they should leave it that way. They also had a bird flying above it. I can't link to the video because I'm at work right now.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about!

The video is in the article I linked, just click where it says "discuss...."

I just checked facebook on my phone, it was on the Theme Park Review facebook page.

Whoa that was pretty amazing without the track I felt myself holding my breath
Not sure I'd want to actually do that :faint:

I totally agree with you after watching the video. That looks terrifying. :)

I like that the bird is back overhead. I missed that the last few times we rode.
And that missing bit at the end does make it a lot scarier looking.
Thanks for posting the link.

OMG thank you for posting that, we are going next week and if I didn't know in advance I would have had a heart attack!

I wonder what they are refurbishing?
I am asking myself the same thing. The Yeti is on (or near) the back side of the mountain. I wonder if they are at least trying to do some assessment to determine if fixing the yeti is at least a possibility? To my knowledge EE has never been fully down for refurb for any stretch of time. It opened in 2006 so ya gotta figure it is due.

Wow, now that is scarier!!! lol.... the track literally ends! I know that the "broken" piece is just a prop, but its a visual block from the edge of a cliff and without it... wooo that would be a doozy!

It would be amazing if they would fix the Yeti, not holding my breath but wishing!

I would LOVE to ride it that way! I think it's cool that they didn't warn anyone. :rolleyes1:eek:

Glad I saw this post ~ this cold have sent me in to a panic attack without warning! Mental note: do no ride in front seat until refurb is complete! :crazy2:
