The hateful thoughts that I have for a person that I don't even know right now are beyond belief. This person needs to burn in... well, you know where.

Take a look at this face...

This dog was thrown out the window of a speeding car on an interstate here in Richmond. :(

Miraculously she wasn't hit by another car, wasn't hurt in the fall and managed to make it safely off the road and into the arms of someone who is making sure she would never be that scared again.

People that can do this make me sick. I don't know if they were able to find them... but they better never cross my path.

Sicko.... wow.... sick.... poor thing... that goodness she is alright.

 People like that need to have the same thing done to them.
Poor doggie, so glad that it wasn't hurt or killed.

:( Some people shouldn't even be allowed near an animal.

I'm glad she's okay and hope she gets a wonderful home where people love her!

People suck. I get nauseated thinking about it!!

I am so glad the puppy is okay, and has new humans who love it.

Had that happen to me one time. Wound up giving that dog a great home for the remainer of his days here on earth. He never forgot the kindness we showed him and was a devoted companion to me at a time when I needed it most.

MeanLaureen is this doggy gonna be lucky enough to call your place home?

I agree, I could seriously hurt someone that would do something like that.

I'm glad the doggy is safe.

I hope they catch that person.

Someone threw a little dog off a bridge near here not long ago too. The dog survived but they never caught the slime who threw him.

What kind of sick monster could do that???

May they reap what they sew...and let me be the one to offer retribution.

What a horrendous, inhumane, and obscene act!

Not that what the animal looks like matters in the least when something like this is done to them...... however, isn't this dog beautiful! Her expression, eyes, color, coat, etc....simply beautiful!::yes::

This breaks my heart. I'm so glad this poor animal wasn't injured :(

They really need to change the laws on animal abuse; it sickens me even more when you hear that these creeps, these brainless, soulless people (if they should even be called human) get off with perhaps six months in jail and some community service.
DH and I have two terriers, Sayde and Zoey, who we love like children and if anyone laid a hand on them, there would be hell to pay. My prayers are with this dog and the new family:)

The saddest part is... this is only one story where there are many more that are just like it... and even more that are different but no less abusive.
My Lizzie (lab/pointer mix) had the same thing done to her. A van going 55 mph opened the side door and pushed her out. Luckily for her (and me) a PetSmart manager was 2 cars behind the van and she stopped to help catch the dog. Lizzie only had a few small scratches/bruises. The manager brought her to a rescue group that spent their Sunday's at PetSmart. She was up for adoption for over a year before I started volunteering with that organization. That was over 3 years ago... I'll make sure that she's never mistreated again.
Thank you for doing your part to help this sweet looking pup.

I'm not sure. I'm still heartbroken over Lacy and her brother and sisters still haven't returned to "normal" but seem to be getting a little better and their tails are starting to wag again.

I wasn't looking for another dog. I already told Matthew that I didn't want another puppy for awhile. Tink and Hailey are just 1 yr old and I don't want them all growing old at the same time.

I originally ended up on Petfinders because I read about a Yorkiepoo that someone had and I was curious as to what that mix would look like. I "googled" it and one of the links was for a Yorkiepoo on Petfinders in another state. I started browsing around the dogs in my area and there was that poor pup.

Can't say that the thought never crossed my mind. Matt admitted last night that it had crossed his after looking at her picture too.

I have to be realistic though. I'm sure she is a very sweet dog, however I don't know anything about her - is she compatible in a multi-dog enviroment? Does she have a fear of people of a particular sex due to what happened - like if it was a man that did it to her, is she frightened of men?

I'm sure she will make someone an absolutely wonderful companion for the remainer of her life. Whether it can be us, I'm not sure. I just know I have to act with my head and not with my heart on this because she's been through so much and I believe that when I bring a dog into my life, it is a lifetime commitment that I make to them.

She deserves the home that fits her needs, and if she doesn't like being around other dogs or men/women, etc.. mine might not be that home. I'm not going to just take her, have her maybe start to bond with me or Matt, only to find out that she just can't live well in a multidog family and have to break her heart (and mine) by having to have her go back into the adoption process again. She's paid her dues and now it's time for her to have a lifetime of love.

I think I'll check with the shelter that rescued her to find out more about her, maybe visit her. We'll see from there.

::yes:: Yes, and it has been proven time and time again that people who can do this sort of thing to dogs and cats are quite likely to be capable of doing it to babies and toddlers.

They make me sick. Anyone who hurts another person is horrible. But...there is a special place in hell for people who abuse children and animals.

all I have to say is this:

Sometimes we don't pick the dog, sometimes the dog picks us.
and...... maybe Lacy is trying to send her to you to fill a viod (partially).
I thiink you should go and meet her and look deep into her eyes. stacilee
