This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

You are right, a rainbow at Disney is super magical.:wizard: That kind of pixie dust can't be planned I'm kinda anxious to see if 3 parks in 1 day can be done... I'm lucky to get to two.. because I get tied up saying "ohh.. we have to do this... and this... and this... before we go". :hyper:

Oh wow, I got caught up. I found your tr three days ago. I have enjoyed your tr, cant wait to hear you doing three parks. (Cause then we can hear about your plans for Nov. :cheer2:) You have a way to take me back to the World even if only in my mind. Loved all your pics. Glad you went to front of Epcot and took that pp pic. I think it is my favorite pic of the ball cause of the clouds behind it. Good luck on training for your run. Good job on the 9 lbs. I know loosing weight can be hard (been trying for two years here) and your doing great. It sounds like you are doing this for you which is the only way to make it work. You look beautiful the way you are but I understand needing to feel comfortable with the way you look. As for your hair, I love the way your bangs are, but again that is my opionion. Again thanks for sharing your trip and I look forward to reading the end.

Sandy

Ahhhhhh Disney sky is ridiculous! It makes the best sunsets and sunrises BY FAR!

I can't believe you saw a rainbow there! That is so cool!!
Just when you think the place can't get any better...

I love illuminations! So perfect! :goodvibes

3d shows always make my head go crazy for some reason.
My vision is fine, but some part of either my eyes or brain doesn't enjoy 3d because I can never really focus, and then always leave with a headache :confused3

Those sunset pictures are gorgeous!! And a rainbow at Disney World, priceless!

Thank you! I couldn't believe I saw a rainbow in Disney!

I love Maelstrom!!!
Karmel Kuche is a delicious place!!! I can never decide what I want there!!!

I can not wait till you start your PTR! :) excited!!!
The sunsets are gorgeous!!!

I love illuminations!!!! May have to try to see it at the bridge this time, though not sure how long we could get Rylan to stay entertained waiting! Haha I do plan to take glow sticks, so that may help!

I've never eaten at EoS before- may need to make it a first this trip!

Endings to vacations always make me sad, but yay for upcoming trips!!!!!

Maelstrom is the best!

I can't ever decide what I want at Karamel Kuche either, I want to try everything!

Thank you, I could not believe the sky that night!

Watching Illuminations from the bridge was amazing! I'm not sure how people keep kids entertained when they make them wait for fireworks or parades, though! Glow sticks might work!

EoS is soooo good, I cannot wait to go there again!

I hate the ending of any Disney trip, it helps knowing you will be back though! :thumbsup2

I agree with the seating at CS around WS...there is hardly enough seating...I hate when people are table stalking I feel so rushed

OMG! What a BEAUTIFUL sunset picture...i cant believe the difference in the sky from what area to the next :thumbsup2 Also you have to love a rainbow at Disney!!

I am too impatient to wait for a spot for Illuminations so we have missed it the last few years...Id really like to see it this year but it might be from a not so great spot :rotfl:

I know, I don't like that feeling of thinking you're taking too long and someone really needs your seat!

Thank you! I know, it was like each way you turned, the sky looked different! It was raining one second, and dry the next...so weird!

I'm usually too impatient to wait for a good Illuminations spot, but I had to see it from the bridge just once! Normally we just walk up behind people right when it's about to start!

Great update, Jen.

The rainbow and sunset pictures are beautiful.

I'm glad you finally got to see Illuminations from the bridge (that's where we used to watch it with the kids when they were little).

Your nighttime picture of Beach Club is gorgeous.

Thank you!

I loved watching Illuminations from the bridge, I wish we could do that on every trip, but there's no way I could waste 40 minutes every time just standing around waiting...guarding my spot so no one takes it! :rotfl:

Thanks, I love the Beach Club! :)

Hi Jen,
What a beautiful sunset! It must have been even more amazing in person!
I will have to take your advice and watch illuminations from that bridge next time

I love the beach club at night...it is so beautiful

BOO to the Red Sox. The talk around here is how everyone has given up. I just dont think the owners will do anything until people stop going to games, but that probably wont happen.
I don't know what happened last september, but it was more than chicken and beer.
Yes, get rid of Beckett, if he says being a dad is his first priority, then by all means, QUIT!

Thank you! Yes, the sky was absolutely amazing that night, I'm so glad I got so many nice pictures of it to remember it! :cool1: You should definitely watch Illuminations from the bridge, just be prepared to guard your spot for a while! :rotfl:

Did you see, I got my wish, no more Beckett! However, I'm not really happy about Adrian being involved in that trade, and for basically NO ONE! I'm glad Beckett and Crawford are gone, and all that money is freed up, but let's just see what they do with it. I have a feeling they're going to start trying to be like the Rays and have a low payroll and just develop their own guys. Which is fine, but they're not going to be very good for a really long time if they do that. I don't know. Guess we'll see this off season! :confused3

Wow, the sunset pictures are gorgeous. Sounds like a great night even if it was a little sad because it was the last one. :( But atleast you have your trip to look forward to. I have a feeling I won't be going again until next April. :sad2:

Thanks! It was sad, but it always helps knowing you have another trip planned! Ugh, I'm sorry you have to wait til April to go back! Although it seems like a long time, but really it's not, the Fall always flies by because of all of the holidays, so before you know it, it will be spring again! :woohoo:

It sounds like your Epcot Afternoon was a really nice one!!
Your sky pictures are gorgeous! I would be putting some of those up in my house!

I hope your last day was just as good as this day appeared to be!

It was a great last night! Even though we only did one attraction, it was still nice to just stroll around the WS!

Thanks! Haha, I don't know if I want to frame any pictures I've taken yet, maybe someday when I get a real camera! :thumbsup2

Oh my god. Those sunset pictures are amazing! Seriously, I just got chills looking at them... I love how you can see it reflected on the side of karamell kuchen!

Thank you! I know, I really love all of those pictures, we just happened to be in the right place at the right time for that amazing sunset! I didn't even notice you can see it reflected on Karamel Kuche! :yay:

Your sunset pictures are BEAUTIFUL. It's so weird when the sky looks entirely different when you're looking one way then another. I love Epcot sky pictures, it is such a photogenic park :goodvibes.

Your dinner at La Cantina looks good, but battling the crowds doesn't sound too fun! At least you got a great spot for Illuminations!

The last night at Disney really is so depressing! :(

Thank you! Yes, Epcot is really photogenic, especially the World Showcase! Of course, I might be biased because it's my favorite place to be, but I'm not sure I've ever noticed a sunset like that in any other park! :cool1:

La Cantina is really good, but I don't think I'd go there again unless it wasn't busy, it's just too crazy! And I doubt there will be a time where it's not busy in November, with Free Dining going on!

Ugh, yes, the last night in Disney is the worst! I think the only reason I didn't have a nervous breakdown was because I already had my next trip booked, and I was looking forward to 3 parks the next day! :woohoo:

Beautiful sunset pictures from your night at Epcot.

I love Beach Club all lit up at night--so pretty!

Can't wait to hear if you make it to three parks in one day!

Thank you!

Isn't the Beach Club so beautiful? I miss it so much! :(

I can't wait to do the next couple of updates, the last day was crazy! And I'm ready to wrap up this TR and get started on my PTR! :cool1:

I find most the the 3d shows are fuzzy and out of focus to me too. I have decent eyesight too.

Those pictures at sunset around the lagoon...gorgeous!!! You really captured some beautiful moments.

I hope you can do the 3 parks!!!

Oh good, I'm glad it's not just me! It's weird, I don't have a problem with the Muppets, just Philharmagic! Maybe it's the animation or something!

Thank you! It was so beautiful that night! :yay:

I love World Showcase at that time of night! Really beautiful sunset and rainbow pictures! Wandering around there with a short wait for Maelstrom and some delicious caramel sounds great!

Excited to hear how your 3 parks in 1 day goes!

Thanks, me too! I couldn't believe there was a rainbow! :yay: I love just walking around WS with nothing to do, it's one of my favorite things about Disney!

Such pretty pictures you captured...and the rainbow one was fantastic!!:cloud9:

Can't wait to read if you get 3 parks before you fly home!

Thank you! Seeing that rainbow was amazing, so perfect!!! :dance3:

I think World Showcase needs more seating in general! Yall's food looked yummy though. :thumbsup2

OH MY GOSH...

A 10 minute wait for Maelstrom?! That is unheard of! When is it ever less than 60???

Okay. I got you there, didn't I? Now for the real reason for the "OH MY GOSH..."

THAT SKY IS SO AMAZING!!! I would have done the exact same thing! And can I just say, rainbows are just really hard to take pictures of! They NEVER took as beautiful as they do in person.

IllumiNations!!!!! I could never get tired of that music. It's so beautiful.

Ugh I totally know what you mean, about stuff hitting you. Way to be positive though. :goodvibes

The WS definitely needs more seating for the CS places! I'll probably stay away from La Cantina for a while, unless it's not busy, it was just too chaotic!

I KNOW, I couldn't believe Maelstrom only had a 10 minute wait! You never see that!

Really though, whenever I see a wait there that is more than 10 minutes, I get annoyed and refuse to wait, because come one, it's Maelstrom. There should never be a wait for that ride, I can't even believe there are FP's!

I know, isn't the sky so beautiful! :lovestruc I freak out whenever I see a rainbow at home, so seeing one in Disney was almost too much! :yay: It is really hard to get a picture of a rainbow, so I'm glad I at least got something!

I love Illuminations so much! It's not even about the show either, of course that's good, it's more about the music for me, it's just so perfect! :lovestruc

I don't think I got too upset about it being our last night because we still had another day in the parks...if we were going home in the morning, that would have been a different story! :rotfl2:

Beautiful pictures. I never really thought about the world showcase as a sunset spot, but I guess I need to rethink that. You must have hit it just right. How lovely and memorable.

So the empanadas were good? I'll have to try them because I didn't love the tacos there.

Glad you made it to the pool more than once. Brandon sounds like me. I always have my phone with me.

Thank you! I don't really think of the WS as a sunset spot either, I think we just happened to be there at the right time! :thumbsup2

The empanadas were really good, and my nachos were ok! I'd go there again as long as it wasn't too crowded!

I'm glad we had more pool time too, it was so nice, getting to use SAB! I love that pool! Haha, I always have my phone too, but I was afraid to bring it to the pool, but he didn't care! :rotfl:

You are right, a rainbow at Disney is super magical.:wizard: That kind of pixie dust can't be planned I'm kinda anxious to see if 3 parks in 1 day can be done... I'm lucky to get to two.. because I get tied up saying "ohh.. we have to do this... and this... and this... before we go". :hyper:

A rainbow at Disney is so magical, I loved it! :cool1:

3 parks in one day can definitely be done, I've done it before on full days, but never on a day we were leaving! It's fun, just running around from park to park! Tiring, but fun! :yay:

Those sunset pics are gorgeous! And a rainbow at WDW... yep, pretty much perfect!

Thank you! Ahhh, the rainbow WAS perfect! :dance3:

Sandy

Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying the TR! :thumbsup2 Ugh, my weight loss has slowed down a little, and I'm not doing anything different so I don't know what the problem is, it's frustrating! :sad2: I just have to keep going and hope this is just a plateau or something! And thanks, ugh, I look back at these pictures and realize how much I can't stand my hair at that time, or the length of my hair, for that matter! I'm growing it out now, so hopefully by November it will look better! :rotfl:

Ahhhhhh Disney sky is ridiculous! It makes the best sunsets and sunrises BY FAR!

I can't believe you saw a rainbow there! That is so cool!!
Just when you think the place can't get any better...

I love illuminations! So perfect! :goodvibes

My vision is fine, but some part of either my eyes or brain doesn't enjoy 3d because I can never really focus, and then always leave with a headache :confused3

I know, the sky in Disney is always amazing! Well, except for when it rains! I love seeing the sunrise in Disney from my resort in the morning, it's always so beautiful! :lovestruc

I can't believe we saw a rainbow either, it was so perfect!

I love Illuminations SO much! I tear up every single time I watch it! You think I'd be used to it by now, but nope! It's just so moving! :)

I've noticed that I've gotten a headache from Philharmagic a few times too...I wonder what that is about! I can't skip Philharmagic, it's just too good! I just wish the blurriness would get fixed! :rotfl:

You know I feel exactly the same way as you do about World Showcase and Illuminations! I totally get exactly what you are saying. There's just nothing better in the world!

Your Epcot night sounds so great! Sunset over the Lagoon is just gorgeous, and you got some amazing pictures. :thumbsup2

The seating in WS is terrible, I agree with you there. I hate it during F&W, when you see scores of people walking around, trying to hold their drinks and eat their food off their plates no-handed. :rotfl: Epcot could definitely afford to put a few more seats around.

I bet DTD was a lot of fun, and Stormalong Bay sounds like such a great pool. I'm dying to visit it one day.

I can't wait to see how the 3 parks in one day went!popcorn::

Yeah! Beckett is gone! it was soo funny, I had just posted that comment and soon after I saw the Breaking News on boston.com...I looked to see if you were on-line, but you werent....I should have PM'd you!

Me too! I really like Adrian :(
but I guess that is who the Dodgers really wanted...so in order to free things up, we have to say bye to him...I really wish him luck! and I know he will e successful...
but see you later Beckett!
Lets hope some good rebuilding happens soon....if not, we are doomed!!!
:sad2:

You know I feel exactly the same way as you do about World Showcase and Illuminations! I totally get exactly what you are saying. There's just nothing better in the world!

I know, the World Showcase is the best! I'm not sure how people can go to Epcot only once in there trip, I have to go at least every other day, or I start feeling weird, like I'm neglecting my home or something! :rotfl2:

Thanks! The sunset was so perfect that night!

Ugh, walking around trying to eat your tiny plates of food at the F&W festival is so annoying! Brandon and I always end up in some corner, shoveling everything into our faces as fast as possible because it's just awkward holding it all! :rotfl2:

DTD was fun, I just wish we had more time there! Ahh I'm going to miss Stormalong Bay on my next trip! Sometimes I wish I saved the BC for our November trip, but :confused3!

Yeah! Beckett is gone! it was soo funny, I had just posted that comment and soon after I saw the Breaking News on boston.com...I looked to see if you were on-line, but you werent....I should have PM'd you!

:sad2:

Haha, I read about the trade when we were driving somewhere and I was like "OMG Adrian's getting traded????" and Brandon didn't believe me, so he immediately put WEEI on in the car, and they were talking about the freakin Patriots!

I guess I understand the Dodgers demanding to get Adrian, and I know he wasn't happy in Boston anymore, but I'm sad to see him go. Brandon has a horrible feeling the Sox are going to sign Nick Swisher next year...they better not! You know what's funny, I used to love him before he was a Yankee, but now, I can't stand him! I'm so glad Beckett is gone, and Crawford for that matter, I was never a big fan of that signing either! :thumbsup2

It must be so fun to look at the huge line for MK and just turn and drive instead! Options!

WHOA, you canceled Le Cellier? Aww, and there was a cancellation fee?!? Is that because it's signature dining?

Chocolate ice cream and Sprite ... huh, I've never heard of that before! It sounds almost weird enough to be enticing! The sugar from the Sprite and the chocolate to satisfy my cravings. Yum. The other thing that would satisfy my cravings would be those nachos from Mexico! Howard and I really liked them. They were a great snack!

Hehe, you and your pre-IllumiNations music! EVERY TIME I think about it, I think about you!

Haha, well, I don't know if it's fun, but it's nice to have the option at least! Rental car prices better go down for November, because as of now, they're almost $300...I absolutely refuse to pay that much so maybe we'll be relying on the buses this trip! :scared1:

Ugh, yeah, there is a cancellation fee now for some of the restaurants, you have to cancel before 24 hours I think? It might even be more than that. I don't think it's just signature restaurants, it's the more popular ones. I get it, but at the same time, it's stupid! :rotfl2:

Chocolate ice cream and Sprite is awesome! Something about it just goes together! And the nachos in Mexico were really good, but the seating situation just annoyed me!

Yay, I love that music, I love that people associate ME with the pre-Illuminations music! I do talk about it an awful lot...I just love it SO much! :lovestruc

The One When We Go To Our 2nd Home!

Hi everyone! September will be here in 2 days, and I want to get this TR wrapped up! I am so anxious to start my November PTR, and I can't talk about one trip while still writing about another! :rotfl:

Wednesday, May 9

We woke up around 8 on our last morning in the Beach Club. I was sad to be leaving this beautiful resort, but since we were going to attempt 3 parks before our 8:00 flight home, there wasn't too much time to linger and be sad! We had to pack up and get out of there, because we had one other stop to make before we even got to our first park! (I'm guessing some of you know where we'll be headed shortly from my title!)

Goodbye Beach Club! I'll see you soon!

P1020571.jpg

Goodbye Beach Club alligator!

P1020574.jpg

We packed up our car and drove over to our first destination of the day!

Any guesses as to where we're going? Anyone?

The Wilderness Lodge, of course!

P1020576.jpg

Our home away from home! We love this place SO much, when we were packing up at the Beach Club, we were talking about getting breakfast somewhere before going to a park, and Brandon suggested going to Roaring Fork and then taking the boat over to the Magic Kingdom! I thought it was a great idea, because we'd get to visit our 2nd home AND we wouldn't have to deal with MK parking!

P1020577.jpg

Aww, I'm gonna miss the "Let the Memories Begin" signs everywhere! I'm guessing since they're taking away the MM&Y show, the whole "memories" theme will be going with it!

Walking into a resort you love is the best feeling! I don't know why I feel so at home at the Wilderness Lodge, I just do! It's just so familiar to me, I love going in those doors and seeing that gigantic lobby and the fireplace and smelling that wilderness-y smell, it's amazing!

We made our way down to Roaring Fork, and Brandon immediately got in line to get a croissant breakfast sandwich. They're so good there, I always want one, so he assumed I'd be getting one too, but I just wasn't feeling it that day, so I got a cheese danish instead, yum!

P1020579.jpg

However, as soon as we sat down to eat, I immediately started eating all of Brandon's potatoes, so he just got up and got me a side of them! I didn't even know you could do that, but he brought me a huge plate of them so I didn't keep taking his, wasn't that nice?

We finished eating and went outside to catch the boat over to MK, but I had to get a couple of pictures first! After all, it is my favorite resort, and walking over to the boat is so pretty!

P1020580.jpg

P1020582.jpg

P1020584.jpg

Yay, a boat was already at the dock, waiting for us!

We sat out on the front of the boat, where it was nice and cool from the breeze on the water! I love traveling by boat in Disney World!

P1020585.jpg

Soon, we were approaching the Magic Kingdom!

P1020589.jpg

We went in and just hung out on Main Street for a little while, just trying to take in the last day Disney magic!

P1020590.jpg

(That is THE best balloon picture I've ever taken! Usually they come out so blurry because they're blowing in the wind! Probably won't ever happen again! :rotfl:)

Originally, we were supposed to spend half of the day at Animal Kingdom and the other half at Epcot, but plans got changed around when I realized I never took a picture of Caitlin's Flat Stanley in front of the castle! So that was the first thing I had to do, just so I didn't forget!

P1020594.jpg

Once that was taken care of, we tried to decide what to do next. The Magic Kingdom seemed pretty busy and we didn't really feel like waiting in line there for anything. I thought about taking one more ride on the Peoplemover or Pirates, but really what I wanted to do was go on the Tower of Terror! :rotfl: So we decided to look around the Emporium for a few minutes and then head back to the Wilderness Lodge and then go over to DHS!

They have so many cute things in the Emporium, I loved this whole wall of ducks!

P1020599.jpg

And then I considered maybe getting a Cheshire Cat...

P1020600.jpg

but then I saw it! The one thing I HAD to have!

P1020602.jpg

Have you guys seen these adorable pillows yet? They are so cute, I love ever single one of them, but I especially liked this "Magic" one! I had it in my hand, I was walking up to the counter to pay...and then I thought "well I don't really need this" so I put it back! :scared1: Why, I don't know, I'm kicking myself now for not buying it! Those pillows are so cute!!!

So yeah, REALLY hope they are still there in November! :rolleyes1

Goodbye Magic Kingdom! See you in a few months!

P1020603.jpg

We hopped back on the boat and sailed over to the Wilderness Lodge! Again, we had to stop in the lobby for a few minutes and look at all of the familiar sights of our beautiful home away from home

P1020605.jpg

P1020606.jpg

but we couldn't take too long, we had our second park of the day waiting for us! :woohoo:

Up next...DHS!

Yay for Wilderness Lodge!!!!!!

Yay for flat Stanley Picture!!

And yay for first of three parks for the day!!

ok, I had a response typed up and my DIS app is going nuts...sorry I am messing up your TR here with my 3 posts.
now, I lost my post... oh well.

We always got to MK our last day...next time we will have to try 3 parks...well, maybe 2...
the WL is really a special place! and in November you will have to go and try to find the BC alligator!
can't wait to read more

I hear ya on walking into a familiar resort. That's how I feel whenever we go to the Polynesian-I always get nostalgic. :goodvibes

Great pictures of the Wilderness Lodge! If we can't get BLT for April I might go for VWL since it's been 3 years (time to start making the 2nd go round of DVC resorts, haha).

Aww, that pillow is very cute. Hopefully they have it for you on your next trip!
