When John first asked for feedback re: his idea  of an Owner's Locker, I was one of the naysayers :sad2:. I posted that I thought it seemed like an OK idea, but not worth the $$ for the convenience, especially for those that traveled to WDW only once or twice a year. Of course, as we all like "free" things, I signed up to be considered for a free beta trial membership anyway. Lo and behold, we were chosen as beta trial members and we received a locker :yay:.

I was "sold" on the concept before we even arrived for our first trip. As I was packing, I kept talking to myself, asking "how in the world did people ever travel [to WDW] without one of these?? It took a little longer to "sell" my husband, but I often feel like I'm resuscitating that old pasta sauce commercial, as it goes something like this:

DH: "Honey, did you pack my comb?"
ME: "It's in there [OL], darling."
DH: "Don't forget my Q-tips."
ME: "It's in there, dear."
DH: "I ran out of needles for my insulin!"
ME: "It's in there..."
DH: "Did you remember to pack my..."
ME: "IT IS IN THERE, D E A R........"
You get the idea...:rotfl:

Anyway, fast forward six months or so, and we are now the proud owners of not one, but two Owner's Lockers, one of which is a fully paid membership. (The second one holds a booster seat and assorted beach items, etc for side trips.) While we did travel there three times so far (incl the initial "load the locker" trip), I cannot describe how much easier this has made our travels. The service (delivery, pick-ups, communication and support) is phenomenal - John and Brian have been wonderful every step of the way (and no, I didn't know either fellow personally, although I have since met Brian once so far). I will continue this service as long as we travel at least once a year. I might think twice if we were to travel less than that, but we're pretty hooked - my guess is we'd just alter the contents somewhat.

It is a bit of a learning process, as we change out the contents a little each trip. However, I thought I would post a picture and a list to give a better idea of just how much stuff this thing holds. I'm posting my list and picture as the next post, so keep reading - I've made this post long enough already!

Next time I'm bringing stickers so I can decorate ours! I'm also bringing a piece of flat plastic we have to make a flat surface above the dividers in one corner. I'm not sure if we will keep the small item container in there next time though. Most of our stuff was larger or already was in another case of some sort. I'm not quite to the point of needing 2 of them though, but I can see it getting there at some point :)

Oh yeah, velcro cord wraps too!

...is what fits in one Owner's Locker (*items are things that I put in due to suggestions of others, but I will/did remove...to be replaced with other items, I am sure!)

Now, I have a good camera (Nikon D70), but I had to stand on the bed to get everything in the picture (well, almost everything...I had already put a few things out that I forgot to retrieve for the photo)

Obviously, YMMV (and my contents are neither as exciting nor romantic as that of some others I have read), but I wanted to give a visual picture of the volume of the locker - and BTW, my lid doesn't even bulge (yet) either!

As you can tell by my posts, we  our Owner's Locker!

The "2" is simple for us (right now, at least): car seats are $10 per day to rent, but I can fit one (2 if just the bases) in one locker, plus other toddler-related "stuff". We bring grandkids (usually 2 at a time) and have been renting a car as often as not (lg double stroller + handicapped DH = complicated bus traveling, as does resort-to-resort traveling, esp with multiple kids 4 YO or younger). I think people that decorate for the holidays will find the second locker useful, too. Once we move to Florida (hopefully) it won't be an issue (though I am a terrible pack rat!!), but we'll have rented a car a total of 32 days this year. we had the seats, so the only expense was the locker.

I'm curious - what do you use the velcro cord wraps for?
