When John first asked for feedback re: his idea
of an Owner's Locker, I was one of the naysayers
. I posted that I thought it seemed like an OK idea, but not worth the $$ for the convenience, especially for those that traveled to WDW only once or twice a year. Of course, as we all like "free" things, I signed up to be considered for a free beta trial membership anyway. Lo and behold, we were chosen as beta trial members and we received a locker
.
I was "sold" on the concept before we even arrived for our first trip. As I was packing, I kept talking to myself, asking "how in the world did people ever travel [to WDW] without one of these?? It took a little longer to "sell" my husband, but I often feel like I'm resuscitating that old pasta sauce commercial, as it goes something like this:
DH: "Honey, did you pack my comb?"
ME: "It's in there [OL], darling."
DH: "Don't forget my Q-tips."
ME: "It's in there, dear."
DH: "I ran out of needles for my insulin!"
ME: "It's in there..."
DH: "Did you remember to pack my..."
ME: "IT IS IN THERE, D E A R........"
You get the idea...
Anyway, fast forward six months or so, and we are now the proud owners of not one, but two Owner's Lockers, one of which is a fully paid membership. (The second one holds a booster seat and assorted beach items, etc for side trips.) While we did travel there three times so far (incl the initial "load the locker" trip), I cannot describe how much easier this has made our travels. The service (delivery, pick-ups, communication and support) is phenomenal - John and Brian have been wonderful every step of the way (and no, I didn't know either fellow personally, although I have since met Brian once so far). I will continue this service as long as we travel at least once a year. I might think twice if we were to travel less than that, but we're pretty hooked - my guess is we'd just alter the contents somewhat.
It is a bit of a learning process, as we change out the contents a little each trip. However, I thought I would post a picture and a list to give a better idea of just how much stuff this thing holds. I'm posting my list and picture as the next post, so keep reading - I've made this post long enough already!
