Ok, I was originally all for giving Miguel a chance, but it's getting more difficult every week. The scene with his assistant...yuck! There must be some redeeming qualities there, though, since Rebecca ends up with him.
I am so sad that William is going to eventually go.

And Jack, too.
I definitely am much more understanding of Kevin now than I was in the beginning. It's so good how they are building the backstory and chipping away at some assumptions.
Kate and Toby have so much to work through, but I hope that the stick it out. I know how Kate feels, but it was so difficult to watch her eat that doughnut. Actually, most of Kate's scenes were difficult, but in a way that draws me in, not pushes me away.
As much as I don't always want to see all the flaws in some of the characters, I am glad that they are showing them and making this realistic. It would be feel good for everyone to always been "good" but not very interesting in the end.
This show really shows how important communication is in relationships. If only Kevin could have expressed himself better or others could have read the feelings behind his words/actions when they were growing up, they could have been much closer. And Randall is realizing that in his hurt, he also caused hurt.
I cannot wait for next week! I'm filling out a Nielsen diary starting Thursday, so I'm going to try to make sure that I can watch This is Us when it's actually on Tuesday night instead of just DVRing it.
