This is Us- Season four

When Kevin good Randall he thinks he found the one, Randall’s attitude was kinda like “seriously? We had a huge falling out and you’re just going to ignore it?” So he just grinned and left. Just typical Kevin behavior.

But Randall didn't address the fight either. The fight wasn't totally Kevin's fault - they both said horrible things to each other.

I kind of saw that as a conversation starter. Something to get them talking. Sometimes you can't just dive into big, uncomfortable conversations. Idk, just my take.

One thing I found odd about the premiere was the fact that they were incorporating Covid into the storyline, ie: everyone being tested, self quarantined before meeting at the cabin...no one hugging...then Rebecca just up & goes to town mask less to pick up a cake, winds up eating at a Chinese restaurant, interacting with the bakery people & the waitress. I feel like I missed something there.

It's because that scene was shot before and we already saw it in flash forward at the end of last season.

It was a flash forward from last season, but they should have reshot it since they wanted to be consistent with COVID. I also found it weird that they had Rebecca walk around maskless after they were so stringent on how they were to be able to get together at the cabin.

I was really surprised that they didn't re-film that part to show the people in town, at the restaurants and the police with masks.

They cut a lot from that scene and left the instances where masks usually aren’t worn. Outdoors and in a restaurant. The only person that should’ve been wearing a mask was the lady helping her at the restaurant. They took the entire grocery store scene out of it.

But she gets out of the police car without a mask and so do the cops, they all should have had masks on being in the car together.

I get they don't want to reshoot something to save money, but if they want to make such a point about being careful with COVID, they either have to reshoot that scene or just not show it at all, just have Rebecca disappear and then reappear at the door and have them pretend they are talking to the cops, thanking them for bringing her back, no need to even show the cops. It's not that big a deal, but it was certainly an inconsistency a lot of us noticed.

I think they fully expect us to notice---and to understand--the inconsistency. As soon as I saw they were going to the cabin and I realized that this was the day Rebecca got lost, my first thought was "Oh man, they taped all of that never guessing they'd need her to be in a mask." That's just a risk you take when you show flash forward scenes.

Say an actor opts to leave the show who has been seen in a flash forward scene...when the time comes to revisit that scene, the viewers are going to once again be expected to simply understand that flash forward scenes are a risk when it comes to consistency.

Plus, the pandemic is exactly why the didn't go re-taping all of that. (Well, beyond trying to get back all of the same actors/actresses they used originally, which would have been tricky as well) But more so because they were already down to the wire trying to get all of the taping done in the short time frame between when they were allowed to tape and when the show was going to air. :)

I came here to see you people thought the Asian man and his daughter or granddaughter were. I didn't recognize the person in the picture.
