This morning as i was driving to work in my cd player i had a Disneyland Paris cd.
When *Dancing a catchy rhythm* started i felt so emotional and wanted SO MUCH to be there tears started running from my eyes .

I felt stupid afterwards but i think you can understand what i mean, i suffer serious whitdrawal symptoms !!!

Look forward to my day trip in October:banana::banana:

I know how you feel - I used to get the same way about WDW!

Our two youngest have never been to DLRP or WDW but they always ask for the music on at home :) can't wait to drag them there when they're old enough to appreciate it!!

October is not far away!!!!!:wizard:

Hi we are going in November and i keep looking at video's on youtube of the Christmas stuff and i actually do have tears in my eyes, it's such an overwhelming emotional place that i fully understand '' Dancin' a catchy rhythm'' is one of my all time favorite parade songs and brings back so many memories of me and my sister singing along to the song watching the parade.
im not sure if it will be the atmosphere or seeing my dd and ds face when we are there but i know once i step into mainstreet and see the castle and all the Christmas decorations i will break down and sob and my mum probably won't be far behind lol (bless her she is like me a big kid when it comes to disney lol)
I hope you have such a magical time on your trip:)

Of course I know how you feel.

This song was at the parade when we first visit DLP with our daughter back in 2005.

I still remember her face when she first saw the castle. princess:

These are magic moments....these are Disney moments.

We are going to DLP in January 2011. Now I have two daughters and both are so excited and we are playing that song often at home.

So...you are not alone :grouphug:

i know what you mean - as does my daughter. she has decided her 'happy song' is 'i'm on my way' which she puts on in the morning to get her up and going. and sometimes she says "mummy i'm so happy listening to this song i have tears in my eye's" so cute!!

No your not alone i brust into tears when i hearthe music, when i see adverts when im there ,when im not there, you,ve come to the right support group :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: but im sorry there is no known cure:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Awww, see now you've made me have goosebumps (remembering my first trip and watching the parade and going home with Dancing a Catchy Rhythm in my head) and also I am teary eyed at the idea of you being emotional.

And I only popped out of work for a bit of lunch!

You're telling it in the right place - at least we all know what you mean - no cynics or snarkies here.

Thanks my friends i knew you would had understood me

Mind you the Paris long weekend i am talking about is a treat for my mum's (can't tell the number lol) birthday and the day in DLRP was supposed to be the bit for me but i can see now she is getting more excited about it than about the rest of the trip LOL

It's ok, you are definitely not alone.

The first time we ever visted DLP back in 2002 my eldest DD and i got one of the Christmas tunes in our head and was huming it for weeks after. We never found out what it was called but every Christmas we would hum it and reminise about our trip.

Fast forward to December 2009 when i was on my solo visit and there i was standing by the payphones in the hotel Santa Fe when it came on. I stood there with tears streaming down my face (pathetic i know)
As soon as i got home i searched the internet until i found it and i now know it to be Carol of the Bells. Everytime i hear it i get goosebumps.

Your definitely not the only one. DW and I will be playing Disneyland music on the car stero when we go to the new Disney Store in Milton Keynes on Staturday.

And she has sugested we start playing the Disney christmas music at home in November to get us in the Christmas mood for out trip in December.

Ooooh we love this one - we always liked it as it is in Home Alone, one of our favourite Christmas films. When we first went to Disney at Christmas we got quite excited to hear it there too - now it makes me think of our Castle Club stay last year.:lovestruc

i love that song, i used it in a video of one of my trips.

Oh most definitely ::yes:: you can rely on us to understand as we all feel the same.

I've got one real-life friend who loves DLRP and WDW as much as me too ~ in fact I was round her place for coffee yesterday morning and we spent a couple of hours chatting about our past trips and my May one next year :cloud9: ~ I wouldn't dare bore any of my other real-life friends like that!!

Not long until your day now, Giulia! :)
