I think I read on another post somewhere that there are plans to expand B&C. Did anyone else see it??

Instead of going through 55+ pages of this thread, I did read the 1st couple of pages...but couldn't find what I was looking for.
Does anyone know where abouts the "Smoking Rooms" are located in the YC or the BC ??? Wanting to make a reservation.
Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that the third floor at the Yacht Club is ALL non-smoking.

RobinLyn:)

as i recall, both in the YC and BC it's by floor, not location....
that is, an entire floor is smoking or no-smoking....
but i don't recall which is which...
however what i'm trying to remember is how it works on the concierge floor....
since only one floor is concierge, are the rooms mixed?...hmmm..
i must be senile, but i can't remember.....
we were in a concierge no-smoking room and all the rooms around us were no-smoking...
my advice, call the hotels and ask them where the smoking rooms are (if that's what you're interested in reserving)...

Thanks! That's just what I wanted to know...I'll call the hotels directly to find out..Thanks everyone! :)

the new configuration after the renovation replaced the daybed with a large desk which we found to be extremely convenient for my husbands laptop...

Hi! We just got back from YC concierge this week, and we had both a day bed, and a desk. The day bed was just about a full "twin" size - much bigger than I remember in the standard YC rooms we have stayed in in the past. My son slept very comfortably on it for 4 nights. He didn't fit in the ones that were in our rooms before.
The armoire has been replaced by a big bureau type thing, with 4 small drawers on one side and the frig on the other. The tv is on the right side, with lots of space on the left to put "stuff".

steph...
that's interesting....did you also have the big easy chair and foot stool in your room?....
if so, your room must have been much larger than ours, as there was no room for a day bed in addition to the large desk and easy chair/foot stool.....
our room was a few doors down from the concierge room (across the hall)...

No, we didn't have that. I guess that is the difference!

Would someone please convince me that I haven't made a mistake by staying at the YC concierge? My wife, 17-year old son, and I are booked for the YC concierge for April 2004. After reading a few negative comments lately re: the YC concierge, I'm beginning to wonder if we made the right decision. Is it really worth the extra money? :)

Dana,
we just returned 2 weeks ago and we had a wonderful time at the YC concierge. They couldn't have been nicer and the room was perfect. I did post a few pictures if you would like to see them.

Jo's YC concierge pictures August 2002

Let me know if you have any questions

april 2004 is very far away so i can't guarantee it will be nice at that time, but when we were there in july, the YC concierge was lovely.....lots of food, the CMs were very nice, and the room was beautiful....and if you calculate the amount of money you save on drinks and food (assuming you eat breakfast and snacks in the concierge room) you're not paying all that much more than a regular room...

Josierac and Disneyholic Family:
Thanks. You've definitely made us feel a little better about our choice. We thought that w/ feeding a 17-year old DS, we had to be saving a little by staying concierge. Thanks again! :)

Well I did it! Yes, I booked the Beach Club...Concierge!
It's only for one night before we move over to the Boardwalk Villas for the next three...but Boy am I excited....
Got a great AP rate, but they only offered a standard view on concierge level for that night...no rate for waterview offered.
Any suggestions for a room request?

Did I make the right decision with the BC Concierge over the YC Concierge???
I stated in an earlier post some of my friends (that are coming down for my birthday celebration) are staying that same night in a 2bedroom villa at the new Beach Club villas, so I booked BC over the YC because I thought we would be closer to each other..
but will we be happy at the BC...vs. the YC's new renovated rooms?
Another few questions...I understand there are a few "Smoking rooms" on the Concierge floor..anyone know any room #'s, so we can look at the wonderful new BC Concierge floor map you all have provided on page 1??
Also..Do all the rooms on the BC Concierge floor have full balconies? Are they all dormered? I know some of the rooms at BC have short or small ones...but what about Concierge?

I'm sure I'll think of at least 100 more questions in my next 30 days!!!
Oh My goodness..I'm staying Concierge for my birthday!!!
Can you tell I'm excited!!!:Pinkbounc
Thanks soooo much in advance for any and all help you can give this poor confused  Cape Cod girl!!;)

Happy 50th. Just letting you know I am a Cape Cod girl too and will be staying at the B.C. concierge Nov. 5-10th. Maybe we'll see you there.

Thanks for the bump!!!
Where is Joe Cool anyway's??? He's the YC/BC expert and the starter of this very long thread! Hope he comes around soon to answer some of my worries!
Thanks again...

We just came back from the Yacht Club last week (originally booked for the Beach Club). Got moved after we complained about the room in the BC. New rooms in the YC are fab. Any questions - I'll do my best to answer:D

We are staying at the B.C. waterview concierge. What was your room supposed to be? and what was wrong with it?

I have 3 rooms at the BC for week of 10/27...I'm interested too, re: what was wrong ?:(
