Yay she is coming home today!!

well, its ON a beach...LOL

We needed a hotel near Cedar Point for 2 nights. I saw the Groupon, $99 a night for a room there WITH a jacuzzi. It's unfortunately queen beds and not a king....to upgrade it was a ridiculous price (I'm hoping that we can maybe convince the desk to give a free upgrade when we arrive LOL) So upon a search on Hotels.com of hotels in the area, I realized that if we wanted a decent hotel we'd be paying at least $70 a night for a Hampton Inn or something....so decided to spring for this. I am one to trust reviews, and it has at LEAST a 4 out of 5 on every single place I looked (hotels, expedia, etc). The comments were great. And they have 3 pools, an outdoor jacuzzi, and by the beach. When we arrive there on Wednesday, I'm sure we will be able to take advantage of this that evening. (We come back from Pelee island Wednesday afternoon)

She's only been gone since this morning! It's day camp at the school and today was her first day. She goes M-F, 8-5, for 3 weeks!

I posted on FB about it, guess you missed it. Anyway, she got out of the truck, I drove off and the tears just started flowing! I couldn't help it! My baby girl is a freshman.

Speaking of which, are you guys getting all the free Blockbuster Express movie codes? They have been giving out free codes for the past month...sometimes just once a week but lately it's been like 8 codes a week.

I nearly all caught up on my movies now -- and it was all free for one night!

well, we changed our minds on DC

With all the drama in DC right now with budget and with how hot it is, and Trent whining cause he only wanted to go if we could meet Obama, we pulled the plug on it

We will try again when he is about 10

So we are doing a mini trip to Lancaster instead

Found a cute hotel and are going to try and do Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park and Strasberg

Sounds like a fun week and weekend for you with all the birthdays

@Kelly -- hey, we are planning another short trip to OCNJ for 3 nights, starting around 7/25 or 7/26. Looking to stay at Coral Sands since they have a special for only $119, including fridge, microwave, beach passes, parking and only 1/2 block from Boardwalk!!

Have you ever stayed there or heard of it? It looks pretty nice on-line ... but I never expect much from a "shore motel".

So far it's just my parents, my girls and myself. not sure if my sister's family can join us since my BIL was laid off (teacher) in June. Jerry probably can't take the days off work.

But I sooooo can't wait for Johnson's popcorn... Mack and Manco pizza .. .music pier ... wonderland amusements ...Shriver's Candy ... and the bakery (can't remember the name -- oops!)!!!
