My 93 year-old mother is dying. She was hospitalized for over a month. She even "graduated" to rehab, to regain some strength. But then she got pneumonia. We brought her home with Hospice care.

I work half-time, so we've hired a caregiver for 5 hours a day. My sisters will help out. Unfortunately, the one sister is sick with bronchitis. She will probably be well enough to come around in a few days.

Changing my mother's diaper is something I never thought I'd ever do.

She sleeps a lot and barely eats anything. This is just so sad.

I'm very sorry. My time hasn't come yet but it's around the corner.

Hang in there. Just tell her how much you love her and appreciate all she did. You can't tell her enough while you still have her with you. Big Hugs :grouphug:

She's home being cared for by people who love her.

Stay strong.

You are doing what is best for your mom. I am sending peaceful thoughts for you. I am sorry.

Sending positive thoughts to you too, Art. :flower3:

I can't even imagine how difficult that must be. I'm sorry...you're in my prayers.

:hug:I sorry things have gotten so bad. I know that even with the extra help, this is a huge burden for you to bear. We never outgrow the need for our mothers. God be with you.

Hugs to you and your family. It is so very hard to see a beloved parent slowly slip away like this. My thoughts are with you all.

Minnie, I'm so sorry.

I send good thoughts for a peaceful/easy passing for your mother, and strength to you and yours in dealing with this unfortunate part of life. Please keep us updated.

I'm so very sorry, I know exactly what your going thru, I did this a little over a year ago with my Dad. Even though it will be one of the hardest times in your life you will have comfort knowing you were there for her. May God bless you and your family.

Same here, though it's almost three years. Peace to you.

:grouphug: I always think this is one of the greatest gifts we return to our parents. It is also the hardest......my prayers are with you both.

I understand.
 Keeping you in my thoughts.
