This is the dawning of the rest of our lives... AT DISNEY WORLD!!!! COMPLETED 1/6!!!!

Aww!! I LOVE your Minnie outfit. It's so cute. Perfect. Where did you get the shirt? I just love it. And, you look so pretty. You're right; your face really does show how excited you are. :goodvibes

BTW, I loved your Home Alone comment. Classic haha. I still have an old recorder like Kevin had haha. Oh, the 90's!

Thank you so much!! How sweet :goodvibes

I would be very disappointed if no one got my Home Alone reference so yay!! And omg - I have one of those somewhere. Actually I'm pretty sure I have two, because I had the original one, but then they made a girly pink one too! haha

Hello!
I’ve read both of your TRs and have loved both of them!
I was very excited when I got home today and saw that you updated :)

Mickey waffles <3 I’m seriously thinking about buying the Mickey waffle maker on Amazon. Even though I know they won’t taste exactly like at the parks, they are waffles, and they are Mickey shaped, so it’s all good.

I just found out this past Sunday that Goofy’s name was originally Dippy Dawg at D23’s Fanniversary Celebration they had. That’s so funny!

I really want to go at the beginning of December. School ruins everything!

Mickey and Minnie <3 They are so cute! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo
I love that picture of you with them. Like you said, you look so happy!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying them!

Ahh I want a Mickey Waffle maker too! Have you seen this one? http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10801968&CAWELAID=747193199 I love it!

I hope you get to go during early Dec or another low crowd time soon. It's truly a different experience.

Thank you! I was so sososososoosoSO happy in that moment! pixiedust:

LOL at you ordering a kids meal. Speaking of McDonalds also, I do that same thing when ordering a happy meal: "Can I get a chicken nugget happy meal with a root beer please," "Boy or Girl," ".......girl." And I pray its a disney toy haha. And your look of pure joy with Mick and Min is priceless :)!

Omg that just made me think of the days where every time a new Disney movie came out they would sell cups with the characters on them at McDonalds! Or was it Burger King? I can't remember, all I know is I got fried food AND Disney merch and it was just a happy time.

Hey Lia,

We finally made it over from your "MCLOVIN" series, and are now all caught up on your latest WDW exploits. After reading your earlier trip report, it seemed like an almost impossible task to follow up on "The most entertaining DIS thread EVER". However, YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN, GREAT JOB!! :worship:

Can't wait for the next installment.

awdwnut

Yay! Thank you SO much for reading my old TR and following on to this one! I'm so happy that you think this one lives up to my last one because I don't want to be a one hit wonder!

Haha, I loved this update, it's just so all over the place! :rotfl:

IHOP reminds me of childhood Disney trips too! We hardly ever ate AT Disney World, so when we went to IHOP in the morning, it was a big deal! Especially since back then, you could only find them in the south, now they're practically in every town in CT!

What kind of camera did you end up getting! (Did you already mention that and I already forgot? :rolleyes1) Your pictures are so great! Pop is so freakin cute and colorful, I love it! :cool1:

OMG your meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie is SO sweet! I love when characters react to you like that, it makes the experience so much more fun than just taking a picture and going about your business! And your whole Minnie ensemble is adorable! ::MinnieMo You look so happy in those pictures, I'm glad you posted them! :thumbsup2

"All over the place" is really the perfect way to describe me so I'm glad that's being made clear through my writing! :lmao:

Thank you, I'm glad you like them! I got a Canon Powershot A1200. I edit my pictures in photoshop though. But it's still a good camera, and it wasn't expensive so that was nice!

AHHH I know! I hate when the characters just like stand there. It's so fun when they get super interactive.

Thank you so much!!!

Putting breakfast time limits is just lame. I honestly only like breakfast from McDonalds. They would probably make a lot more money if they sold it round the clock!! But instead they only get money from me personally when I go to the airport because that is when I am awake at that hour or not running late and hence can't make it in. SILLY MCDONALDS.

And Goofy. Oh Goofy. So I have a 3-year-old and he's only allowed to watch the Disney channel. (I know I'm biased but honestly, I CANNOT STAND ANY KID SHOW THAT IS NOT DISNEY!! They just irritate me. I can't handle it.) They have "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and it's so fun to see all the characters. I mean, Minnie is doing well for herself. She opened up a "bow-tique" where she sells customized bows. And Goofy is always silly and is always searching for stinky shoes or his pants will fall down revealing his "pineapple underpants". It's so great.

I have also wondered many a times why he's so civilized and Pluto is still a dog. I mean, it's not even just that their both dogs. They are ALL animals who can wear clothes and talk...but they have a whole episode of pets. Why can't the pets talk? Is that what makes the difference? Idk. The other confusing thing is Figaro from Pinnochio is Minnie's cat now. When did that happen??? Also...apparently Peter Pan left Neverland and the place is now run by this guy named Jake and his friends. They do exactly what Peter did and just go on all sorts of adventures and are "rivals" with Hook. Okay...whatever, I guess that's not THAT confusing. The confusing part is Peter comes back to visit sometimes and he still isn't grown up!! I thought the way to stay a child forever was to stay there? But he left! Where does he even go? To London? Unknown lands? Yeah...you think you have questions now. Just wait until you have a toddler and you are watching that channel and wondering why the heck things are so crazy!! (Let's not even get started on the Tinkerbell movies haha)

Speaking of having kids...that is one perk. When I don't want to admit something from the child menu or whatever is for me, I have him. :rotfl: The sad part is that everyone in real life knows me too well and they are like "Oh you are going to see Brave on opening day? Is this for Landon OR FOR YOU?" all accusingly. FINE IT'S FOR ME OKAY?!?!? Haters. :cool2: And then we are FINALLY getting a Disney Store closeby. I'm obviously going to be there opening day like an hour before because they are doing a show and giving out free stuff and there will be characters and a girl's gotta get her fix, ya know? And they judge me because I want to leave my son at home for that. Rude. I mean we'll obviously be back like weekly! I just don't want to chase a toddler around opening day with the craziness!

So fun to wear character stuff and then MEET that character! I love the attention you got. How special. Those mice are so fabulous. When I met them, I was wearing red and black and so we look all matchy matchy! I didn't even plan it but I love it!! LOVE your pictures with them. You look so happy!! I'm so glad you had such a good time with them!! :goodvibes

(I think your chattiness made me all talkative too!)

They would make SO. MUCH. MORE. money if they served it all day. I really don't get it.

Oh girl, I know all about what goes on at the Clubhouse, trust me. I have a lot of young cousins. That show is so cute. I'm so happy they have the Fab Five on Disney regularly for this generation like they did when I was little.

I didn't know about the Peter Pan thing... that's really weird and I'm just going to choose to ignore that LOL. The Figaro thing is weird, I just don't know how that cat got from Germany to wherever Minnie lives. Disneyland? I don't know. The thing is, there's an old short where Figaro is fighting with Pluto at Mickey's house, and it's confusing because they act like real animals and yet Mickey is Pluto's owner but mice are tiny in real life and dogs and cats are predators for mice. It's confusing when you are little and trying to understand the food chain. LOL. Maybe the jokes on us for over analyzing cartoons? Yeah, I'm gonna stop. LOL

HAHAHA it's funny, I totally know what you mean. I looooove spending time with my cousins, not just cause I love them, but because I still feel like a kid. I don't feel like an adult at all. People older than me in our family are always saying to me, "It's so nice of you to do that with the kids" or "You're so sweet for watching them" and I'm like, I'm not WATCHING them. We're hanging out and watching The Little Mermaid which is only like one of my favorite things to do so I don't mind. I'd rather hang with them than talk about work and stuff with adults. I am such a kid at heart and then I get jury duty summons like a real adult would and I'm like WHAT? NO.

If you're anything like me, get ready to have your life taken over when that Disney Store opens. Not only do I have a Disney Store near me, but I have a DISNEY OUTLET and oh my god. Everything is cheap to begin with but when they have sales I can get sweatshirts for like $6-$11. And they always have child size L/XL so then I can get clothes even cheaper! I got an amazing Snow White shirt for $4 and a Jessie sweatshirt for $6 last time. That would have come to like at least $70 in the parks. It's so hard not to spend ALL my money there b/c everything is so cheap that I'm like "Oh this shirt isn't my absolute fave but IT'S ONLY $3 MUST BUY" and before you know it I'm broke.

Thanks girl!!! Aww, that sounds so cute that you matched with them like that!! I'm sure that was a great picture. I love how excited they get.

:lmao: I've never seen someone turn a restaurant into an Apple product and I'm so glad about that. HAHAHA. That's hilarious. (As a side note... WHAT IF THERE WAS a product called iHop??? What would it do??? The possibilities are ENDLESS.)

OMG a breakdancer and a PAC MAN on the same building?!?! I didn't see that coming. Oh Disney.

AND THEN A FRIENDS REFERENCE WAS PUT INTO PLAY. When Chandler wonders why Donald feels the need to wrap himself with a towel when he gets out of the shower even though he never wears pants! (Yeah the Goofy and Pluto "I DON'T KNOW, YOU GUYS!" thing reminded me hahaha).

AHHH your mouse pictures are so adorable! You look so happy!!!

OMG. Apple needs to make a pogo stick that plays all your favorite music called the iHop. I AM PATENTING THIS AS WE SPEAK DO NOT STEAL IT. I'll invite you on my yacht ok?

Yes! Oh, the 80's!

THAT IS THE BEST FRIENDS EPISODE. I have referenced it twice in this TR alone LOLOLOL. "The One Where No One's Ready". My favorite thing about that flawless show is the random stuff they say in every episode that has nothing to do with anything, like that Donald reference. It keeps it so fresh, you just never know what they are going to come out with. Especially Chandler and Phoebe. Oh my GOD they need to do a reunion special or something before I die.

Thanks so much girl!!

I have no shame in Disney and will proudly order a kids meal for myself. I dare Disney to tell me know....dare them! :lmao:

Okay, McDonalds needs to start making breakfast all day. I hate the fact that they stop serving at 10:30am. What's up with that?! What makes an Egg McMuffin so much harder to prepare than a Big Mac? They would have an increase in revenue (not like they need it), if they did it. I guarantee it. ;)

Love your Minnie outfit, it's too cute! The shirt is great.

Okay fine... ;)

YES EXACTLY! Oh right! I forgot that you had (for a second but then I remembered as soon as you said it haha). It's one of my favorite episodes! "I'm breezy!" I love how it's so simple with just Monica and Rachel's apartment as the setting but there's still so much going on. "You were gonna drink the fat!" Okay no more random quotes. But I agree... if ANY show should do a reunion, it's Friends.

Oh no!
I discovered your TR the other night and just realised I'm all caught up! :scared1:

I want more! No scrap that! I neeeeeeeed more!

What a Hillary TR. I am loving it big time. :rotfl: the Joey lunges almost killed me alone!

I am usually a lurker but felt I needed to make my presence known to the Queen of the Poly!

Hurry back oh majestic one!

:goodvibes

Oh and Rest in Peace Hawain Timon. You are in a better place now. (may even be the new mascot of 'Ohana!) :flower3:

OMG! That Toy Story one is amazing! I want to buy them all... breakfast would be so much more fun. LOL.

Yeah, next time I am just owning my status as a Kids Meal eater. PROUD OF IT.

It's not harder to make a McMuffin. I mean all they have to do is take their food out of the box and defrost it. This is not rocket science, McDonalds!!! Get with it!!

Thank you!!!

Yeah, I love when it's just the six of them hanging out for the whole episode. It's always more fun than when there are 3 totally separate stories. I mean, it's always amazing but I love stuff like that episode and The One With the Blackout and The One With All the Poker, etc. :thumbsup2

You are so sweet! Thank you! :welcome: to the party & I'm so glad you're enjoying my TR so much. I appreciate it. Don't worry... I will update soon! :dance3:

Apologies my new iPad and new iphone are ganging up on me and change the word hillarious to Hillary.

My friends find it funny. Me, not so much

Always late to the party but I am here! :woohoo:

I think we should sue Mcdonalds because they are discriminating against those of us who sleep late by not offering breakfast all day. Merriam-Webster defines breakfast as "the first meal of the day" not "a meal eaten before 10:30 AM."

Why doesn't every building say "SURF THE NET..." or "TO THE MAX" on it? The real world is a sad place. :sad2:

Heh. Dippy Dawg. In the 1950s, Goofy was sometimes known as George Geef which my mom and I laugh hysterically at as often as possible. Geef is such a weird word.

I love your pics with Mickey and Minnie! They're always so fun and enthusiastic. And they give the best hugs which I am super jealous of because I'm an awkward hugger. Maybe I should ask for lessons next time...

Haha don't worry about it, I knew you meant hilarious. Either that or you were comparing my trip report to Mrs. Clinton.

Glad you're here! :dance3:

THANK YOU! It's a slap in the face in a way. It's like they're saying, "You're lazy. No McMuffins for you!"

Seriously! My favorite thing is how they have words on the buildings that are not even sayings... they're just nouns. Like "Platform Shoes." It just cracks me up.

hahaha yeah, apparently Goofy had a bunch of different names... all of them hilarious.

Thank you! Yeah, it's weird to hug people and mice you don't know. But I just go with the flow.

I just found your trip report and I'm loving it! You are very entertaining and I love all your tv references...especially the Friends ones! I'm totally obsessed with Friends!

I will definitely be following along from now on!

DECEMBER 9TH, 2012
Day 5, Part 2 In Which We Celebrate The 4th of July Four Times

After an awesome meet and greet with the king and queen of Disney World, we took some time to just mosy around Main Street and take it all in.

I love that drawing of Minnie kissing Mickey. I bought a print of it years ago and it is hanging in my room!

I don't know what I was thinking with not getting the whole castle in this picture, but whatever!

6822298340_d7d2947a95_b.jpg

Then, I decided we should head to Frontierland so that we could get Fastpasses for Splash Mountain.

On the way, I took this adorable pic:
6822298148_dcf79b7d01_b.jpg

I love when they wear clothes specific to the land!

6968420943_f987013d36_b.jpg

We grabbed our Fastpasses and crossed back over into Adventureland.

6822299734_60a5df8be8_b.jpg

I went straight to my favorite Adventureland ride: Pirates of the Caribbean, of course! This was one of those ones that I was fascinated with as a kid and still am. The Pirate Tutorial was going on so we stood and gawked at Jack Sparrow for a spell before heading into POTC. The ride was flawless as usual, but I don't like that they've added the villain from the new movie in there. I miss Davy Jones!

6822299624_a61592ff63_b.jpg

Mickey lock in the POTC queue

Next, it was time for Jungle Cruise. My mom didn't even remember this ride! I think the last time she went on was probably 1995.

6968422975_18102fda2c_b.jpg

6968422901_e50370cab9_b.jpg

She ended up liking it a lot, and laughed at the corny jokes as I always do. We had the best skipper ever. I even remember his name. WHAT UP LIAM! Liam, if you're reading this, you rock. I would never take you for granite.

It was time to go find our laughin' place, so we headed back over to Frontierland.

6968422803_385ef55537_b.jpg

I'm sure I went on and on about this in my last TR, but man do I love this ride. Not only is it pure classic Disney goodness mixed with a fun thrill at the end, the story is just so amazing. I love the symbolism and the moral, which I'm sure I've overthought but you know... I just love Disney so much.

6968422707_ded5c3a44b_b.jpg

6822300468_440f1ba4c3_b.jpg

I love being up high at Disney and seeing different landmarks. The best is the top of EE, but here you can see the castle, the Contemporary, and Adventureland.

After gettin flung down in the Briar Patch, I was in the mood for one of my favorite Disney snacks. But first, I took a picture of the place where insane little animals get sent when they lose it:

6968423215_6ec9d91c9e_b.jpg

THE NUT HOUSE!

:rotfl: Was that as bad as a Jungle Cruise joke? Liam? How'd I do? Anyone? Bueller?

We left the good ol' American Frontier and headed to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlour for some Mickey Mouse Kids Cones.

6822300222_efcf53fc02_b.jpg

YUUUUM!!! This is one of the best deals on property. $2.80 (that includes tax). The chocolate disks are amazing. I'd pay $2.80 just for them. But obviously, the ice cream is insanely delicious and so is the cone. I always get cookies & cream but you can ask for any flavor. I believe my mom got chocolate, but I forgot to snap a pic.

Kid's cones in hand, we entered Tomorrowland and got some Fastpasses for Space Mountain before taking a relaxing ride on the Peoplemover.

6968423801_657b98d299_b.jpg

I posted on Twitter:
I wish there was a Peoplemover in every Land!

I really do. I know that would make no sense but I just love this ride so much and I always have. It has gone downhill after changing the spiel (HEY DISNEY, STOP CHANGING THE SPIELS), but it's still one of my favorites.

It had been a few years since we'd seen the Carousel of Progress, so we rode that next. This was a hilarious disaster.

The ride got stuck. Duh, we've all been stuck on rides before. No big deal. Except that we sat there for a long time.

We saw the 4th of July scene 3 times. A lot of people were pretty annoyed, but I just found it funny. I will never look at this holiday the same. I even started to memorize the dialogue. Whoa boy, this is the hottest 4th of July we've had in YEARS! We've come pretty far though since the turn of the century almost 20 years ago!

The CMs working this kept making announcements, over and over, I'd say at least once a minute, to STAY SEATED!!! REMAIN SEATED PLEASE!!!! Over and over and over and over. VERY LOUD. I'd say it's the loudest of the Disney loudspeakers.

"WE GET IT!" some annoyed guy yelled. I rolled my eyes. They're doing their job. No need to be rude. And uh... someone died on this ride once. Cause they didn't remain seated. So maybe you should shut up? I don't know what guests think they are accomplishing by giving the CMs a hard time.

As the scene started repeating for a 4th time, everyone groaned. I simply recited the lines. But it was cut off and we were finally moved to the next scene.

Up Next: A frumpalicious surprise during lunch.

YEAH, bring back Davy Jones! He has much more of an eerie quality that fits in with the ride a lot better! I know we talked about this on my TR but whatever hahah.

Amen to everything you just said about Splash Mountain! That ride is just wonderful. I'm pretty obsessed.

People just like to take their anger out on anyone who happens to be there, and those poor CMs are usually the people who get it. I mean, they don't usually make announcements like that unless they need to, so chances are someone was standing in one of the other rooms. Just because the yelling guy couldn't see it, doesn't mean it wasn't happening. Or did he forget that there were other parts to the ride? Oh silly man.

Oh wow, your new camera took some amazing pictures! I love them!

I love that print of Mickey and Minnie. It’s adorable!

Donald in his Frontierland costume <3

I feel so bad for you mom because she had not been on the Jungle Cruise in so long. How sad!

Mickey ice cream come + Cinderella’s castle = best picture ever.

Rude guests are just awful. Why go to the happiest place on earth and ruin other people’s vacation? I can’t stand it.

Lia, you always update at wonderful times. I've been doing homework for my summer classes LITERALLY since the minute I woke up this morning, so it's about time for a nice Disney break. :goodvibes

Your new camera is seriously awesome!! Did you edit your pictures at all or are they just naturally that gorgeous?!

I MISS DAVY JONES TOO! And omg I never noticed that lock before!!

The Jungle Cruise is perfection. I don't know why, but the jokes get funnier and funnier every time. Seriously. :rotfl:

LOL I was just about to comment "wow, the clouds are absolutely BEAUTIFUL on this day!!" But then I realized I was there on this same exact day. And that's when I took all of those exceptionally beautiful pictures with the AWESOME clouds! Haha they really added to the beauty in both of our pictures! :thumbsup2

I agree... the People Mover's new spiel makes it a little bit less awesome. It's still like.. my favorite ride ever. But still. My heart is completely and eternally broken.

HAHAHAHA oh my God. 4 times?!?! That's hilarious. :lmao: "Whoa there, you'll blow a fuse! Drat that's the third one this week, I buy fuses by the case." "Jimmy, hurry up with that fuse!" "Shucks! Every time he has company he blows a fuse! And guess who always has to change it?" "I heard that young man, I heard that!"

Oh and the ever famous "Rover, don't interrupt while Sarah's interrupting!" :rotfl2:

Beautiful pictures!!!!

That Mickey cone is adorable, I may have to have one during my July trip for the cuteness factor alone!!

I LOVE the story that Splash Mountain tells! I don't think it is very clear to the casual rider, and they are totally missing out!

Seriously! Those speakers are deafening! However, we actually had someone get up during the show and open the door to leave, so we got to hear it over and over too.

I had one of those cones for the first time in April which is funny because I always buy them for my kids, yet never think to get one for myself. What is wrong with me!? :confused3

You know what makes that cone even better? And I know your familiar with this because you either did this earlier on this TR or on your last TR--having it at 2 am while in a practically empty MK! :goodvibes

Yes...I'm sure the new Disney store is going to take over my life. I don't even care! I am thrilled. I'll have to hassle Disney until they send us an outlet too! :rotfl:

You are so cute with your cousins...I'm sure they love that you hang out with them. Have they ever been to WDW yet? My son loves it. Sometimes I'll be like "where do you want to go for lunch?" and he'll be like "Disney World!". Or one time, he find some coins and he was like "Mom, I got 2 pennies! Now we can go to Disney World!" I wish that's all we needed!

OMG I LOOOOOVVVVE everything about Splash! The song is so great!! I love going on with new people too who think every drop is the big one....or better yet, pretending i'm new and freaking out at every drop! :rotfl: I'm such a dork! But that ride is seriously the best! It just fills me up with so much joy as I get to visit all my friends from the Briar!

And Jungle Cruise...LOVE!! So funny. I'm always dying. i would love to be the CM on that ride. I say so many corny jokes anyway...it'd only be fitting! And i loved your nuthouse one!! Bahaha I didn't even know you were joking because I've never seen that place and thought you were completely serious and I thought it was so cool! :rotfl:

How was pirate training? When I was there in 2010, Jack Sparrow totally picked me! It was so magical!! He winked at me too, but my friends insist it's because I was the only person over the age of 10. :confused3 Whatever! I'm an official pirate now and they are just haters. :lmao: You should totally volunteer for that one even if you don't think they'll let you. Just make sure to make eye contact with Jack Sparrow, the CM tried to stop me until I was like "No!! HE really picked me!"

I love the People Mover too. So relaxing and splendid. I also LOVE the Carousel of Progress. I find it hilariously terrific with all the cheesy lines and everything. It's just like a step back in time to simpler days...sigh...just makes me so happy! LOVE IT! "There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow! Shining at the end of every day!" I always sing that part every scene change :rotfl:

Can't wait for more!

"I've got to get the laundry off the line before it starts raining cats and dogs!"

"Ah, don't worry Rover. She didn't mean real dogs."

...

"Oh, you and your progress! That paint mixer of yours just sloshed paint rump..er..rumpus room."

...

"Your turn Grandma. Let's switch the image over to the TV, so the resident flying ace can show you how it works."

...

Can you tell I've been on this ride a few times? :rotfl2: There's a great big beautiful tomorrow...shining at the end of every day...:rolleyes1
