This is the biggest thrill a parent can have at WDW

My band marched in the parade when I was in tenth grade. It was my first trip on a plane and my first time every in the MK, only MK and Epcot were open back then. It was one of the most thrilling days of my life and you got to go bakstage and everything.

How wonderful for you that we were able to be there, my parents did not want to nor could they have afforded to go on that trip. I am forever grateful that our band teacher submitted us for that!

My high school went to Disney my freshman and senior years. Band memories hold a special place in my heart, and marching down Main Street definately tops that list! Go Spartans! Female trombone players rock the house!

Both of my kids and my newphew all got to march with their HS bands. It is ALMOST the best thing ever. My daughter got to preform in a Disney show on the castle stage with Showchoir. They had Disney costumes, props, fireworks and even the doves, when they still had them. I just sat a cried as they did their whole show. I actually got some pics the second performance, as my crying was a little more under control by then. :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

our very first trip to disney was when my daughter now 23 marched in the parade on memorial day her freshman year of high school in 1999. We have now gone every year since 2004 and youngest daughter is working on main street. We still go back and look at the pictures. Our high school band goes evry 4 years it is a tradition and in our small town this is the only time some of these kids will ever leave texas. :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I marched in Spectromagic at the MK when I was a junior in high school. It is one of my favorite high school memories. I'm a senior in college now, studying music ed, so hopefully I'll be able to take my students someday princess:
