This is so embarrassing.....

Oh those are good ones. Weekend In New England is actually one of DS's favorite 'lullabyes'. :lovestruc

TOV

And I thought I was the only one who loved him..

Count me in as a Fanilow. My ex office manager took us to a concert last year and it was AWESOME. We were four rows back from the stage. There were kids there that looked to be about fifteen or sixteen beebopping to the music and screaming as loud as we were LOL!!! We saw people of all age groups from the old to the young. I would love to get his Christmas CD. I might have to look for it tomorrow when I take my son to Borders.

At the Copa....

Copacabana...

The hottest spot north of Havana!

Kimya

I love this man too!!!! I went to see him in Atlanta back in 1993 and I went all by myself. I would have loved to be picked from the crowd to sing with him!!

I love most of his songs so it is hard to pick only one out. BUt I do love One Voice when he sings it with the choir. It is probably not my favorite but it always stands out in my mind.

I've seen him many times, probably close to 10 times, the last time being about a year ago. I wish he would come out with an album of original songs, it's been a long time. I heard his next project is songs from the 50's.

I love me some Copacabana lol.

My mother in law is a big Barry Mannilow fan and I think it's great. She is in Barry's fan club and she makes blankets for the animals at his charity. I think it's called Desert Paws, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Ahhh...Barry...

My dream is to get to sing "Can't Smile Without You" with him on stage.

O...M...G! I KNOW your MIL - (Donna D., right?) She's a part of our fan club, and she makes pet blankets for Desert Paws...check out the signature photo - that's the calendar we've been making.

DEFINITELY a small world!! ::yes::

Ah ha, slowly but surely the brave come forward and stand tall and proud, united in their love for Barry. :goodvibes

Yes! This is great!
I have so many of his albums (yes, vinyl!) that I love, love, love. :lovestruc
I used to have to listen to them with headphones on because the rest of my family ummm...didn't share my affection for Barry Manilow music

I have three or four of his albums........NOW I KNOW I AM OLD......but will always love his songs.......he has such a mellow voice and I could just shut my eyes and drool......I mean think about everything........

I love all his songs......

About 15 years ago a friend of mine was in town and we went to every concert that week and he was one of the concerts we were both amazed how great the concert and his band was.

CookieGVB and I were at that taping too!

I love Barry with big smoochy kisses! (yes, I know ... ewwww!!) I am going on my 29th year of undying devotion.

Did you see his Biography on A&E?

Another proud Fanilow here!!!

In fact, DH and I just got back on Tuesday from seeing him in Las Vegas. We flew out on Sunday evening, saw Barry TWICE on Monday (it was a special taping for PBS and I got the tickets for FREE through the fan club) and we flew back on Tuesday.

I have loved him since I was a kid. I remember seeing him on The Muppet Show when I was a little girl (singing Copacabana with the Muppets acting it out) and I was hooked!

Here's some pics from the show on Monday:

Oh no ... I'm in that same fan club! So is CookieGVB! Look at her posts sometime.

My worlds are converging -- help!!!

Sure I like him a lot. He is very talented. My favorite singer though is Kenny Rogers. Both men though have beautiful singing voices.

Also impressed with Phil Collins
and don't laugh cause he is talented also, Elton John

a blast from my past Donny Osmond

I used to love him. Does that count? ha DH and I went to a concert (small venue) in SF Bay Area in the 80's.....(early) and he did not sing for a full 2 hrs.
Bit of a let down. But changing my taste is not because of that experience.
I have just changed musical tastes............

He is in Vegas now, right? I hear he is at the Hilton. Try to see his show there!

I like a lot of different music, but Barry - his music feels like family. I think I've finally replaced all my old records with CDs

Have seen 4 of his shows. Best was the full orchestra tour in 2000. Barry does the live thing better than anything. I mean, I enjoy popping in a CD of his anytime, but nothing beats being in his audience.

Favorite song..."Keep Each Other Warm"

Yes, Donna D. is my mother in law lol. Nice to meet you ladies. :wave2:
