Disney Dining Card at Disneyland

I need to buy a 2 day park ticket, and one of the options the Disneyland site gives me is to purchase a $100 Disney Dining Card for $90. Am I still able to use my DVC discount at restaurants if I buy this card? It sounds like it's basically a gift card for food, which is fine with me. It says you can buy up to 3 I just want to make sure its not a bad idea--my family will be there for 5 days (I'm the only one with a 2 day ticket) so they'd easily be able to use that.

Yes it will work with your DVC discount.

If it's through Dining Dollars, it's a virtual Disney gift card. When I purchased them, it took (exactly) 72 hours for me to receive the virtual gift card, then I went ahead and transferred the balance to a physical card, just for my own peace of mind.

Edit: just realized you said it was directly from Disney, so ignore me.
