... offered me $3,000.00 for my car! You have to understand, my car is MY car! I almost cried! LOL!!

It's an old car, empty water bottles thrown all about the inside, graded papers sitting on the passenger seat, a reddish black, black walnut stain in the back seat (along with more empty water bottles and an umbrella ). Why do they want my car! What would they do with it! No way!!! If I get a new car in the spring, I'm not even going to trade my car in!!

Anyone ever get attached to their car before?

Yup! I had that same thing happen with my first vehicle. It was sitting in my parent's driveway for several months unused because I didn't like driving it any more, but I still didn't want to get rid of it. I did sell it, though. I needed the money and none of us were using it.

I don't know what I'm going to do with my current car when I get a new one. Even though it has its problems, I'm quite attached to it.

The person told me they live in my neighborhood and drive past my house everyday. They just totaled their car, the same exact model I own. They said they love the car so much, they want another just like it. It is odd, isn't it? They did give me their name, phone number and address, in case I change my mind.

We have a 1993 Chevy Cavalier Sitting in our drive way. My DH starts it every once in awhile, and it starts right UP! The man that works in the Quick Stop down the street wants it bad.

I was especially attached to my silver Toyota truck. I loved it! It had a toolbox (Great for shopping!), nice all terrain wheels (great for getting around), sliding rear window (wonderful for breezes). It was a joy to drive. Most people that didn't know me well, couldn't believe it was mine. I guess being a woman and all.

It was easily the best vehicle I ever had. I had several people want to buy it. When the time came, it was hard to sell it. I wanted to sell it to someone that would take good care of it. Isn't that funny?! I miss it now. It just wasn't practical to keep it anymore.

My husband has done that before. He restores old cars, and if he sees one he likes, he just goes right on up to the house and asks if they are willing to sell.

One guy he hounded relentlessly, he had an old Mustang that DH wanted so bad. Wouldn't you know it, the guy put the car up for sale the day DH left for a 5 week long business trip. The good wife that I am, I drove by, saw it was for sale, stopped the car and got his asking price. Then ran over to the bank and paid him cash for his car. DH was so surprised and happy when he got home from that trip.
