Ok guys...I have a serious question.

I have a Keeshound (a breed of dog) and might have posted this 1 time in the last year. Well, last night I get a pm from another member of the DIS about a Keeshound discussion forum...cool.

The freaky part is...this person has NO posts to her name and how in the world did she know I had a keeshound? BTW - I checked her username today and she STILL has no posts!!!

No one IRL, except my hubby, knows I post here....so HOW would this person know about ME and my love of keeshounds...and WHY did they send me a pm?!!!

I thought about that.....but I haven't mentioned my keeshound in atleast 8 months. It would be even more freaky to think someone remembered *1* post of mine from that long ago. BTW - I mentioned the dog in a run of the mill thread...not a thread about pets.

I can't imagine someone registering on the DIS JUST to send ME a pm!

Speaking of creepy, what's up with your ho of a neighbor who was trying to get her kids to be mean to your son? If you posted the outcome, I never saw it. I hope your keeshound (sp?) bit her in the ***.

My son has nothing to do with CT neighbor's kids....she is a witch! We also found some raw ground beef thrown in our backyard - it had ground glass in it! All I can say is someone was watching over our keeshound b/c she did not TOUCH IT...thank God! After all of these events and now this odd pm...I am freaked out!

Creepy! You really need to be careful via the internet, I'm finding that out more and more everyday. People are not always what they seem and may take an unusual interest in you even though you may not be paying a bit of attention to them or even know of their existence. Its pretty creepy when you think of it that way.

I know WM do not monitor pm's but should I email them about this?

I was going to suggest that you contact the WMs to voice your concerns. I personally would forward the PM over to them and see if they had any info about this poster .(who doesn't post!)

I'm not sure I'd think this was anything too serious just yet. It seems so likely that someone joined the dis that loves that type of dog and did a search and found your post. But it never hurts to be cautious either so I guess I would see if the webmasters would check out that ISP and make sure they aren't local to you.

Did they just recently register? I know I registered, but did not post for almost a year, started reading the board about a year before I even registered. Maybe they forgot their user name and had reregister

I do think contacting the webmaster is a good idea. It could all be innocent but I tend to stay on the safety side of the fence.
