This is embarassing....

Last night at my sister's wedding we had about 130 people attend. Two friends from high school that are a brother and sister attended. My sister was friend's with the girl, I knew the boy since he was only a grade above me. It's been eight years since I graduated. Anyway, right after the ceremony I walk in the bathroom where the reception is. In comes the sister and I ask if her brother will be coming. She smiles and says "Oh, he's here. He's just put on some weight over the years." I walked right past him earlier not knowing who he was. In high school he was a track star and VERY thin. Has anything similar happened to any of you?

Similar, but opposite. I saw someone a few years ago that went from huge football build/fraternity style dress in HS/college to thin/traditional preppy dress. We didn't really know each other so I didn't feel that bad. I just remembered that we went to HS together and he was in one of my college classes freshman year. He actually recognized me "from somewhere" and it took us a few minutes to figure out where.

my husband knew a guy in school and at their 10 year HS reunion.. HE was now a SHE and everyone played a guessing game to figure out who it was...

DH kinda knew who he thought it was.. he was right.. but only after careful thinking of how the students were in HS..

I was out of the loop of an old group of friends but had heard that the one was finally expecting her first child. I saw her at a local event and asked her due date..........she had already had the baby.
