What is it with underwire bras?? After just a few washings the wire always comes out. Those thin plastic ones really hurt when they snap and poke you, too. I'm sitting here reading the DIS and I noticed that my underwire has worked its way out and is nearly poking me in the chin. This was an expensive bra, too! Grrrrrrr!

I usually hand wash mine, occasionally I cheat and use the washer but NEVER the dryer. (well DH has, but you can guess what those bras look like

I've been there! I've actually been out in public, looked down & the wire is sticking straight up in the middle:eek:

Can't stand them....don't buy them.

OK i went to Victoria's Secret and they told me that you cant put bras in the dryer...this is the 1st i've heard of it but they just said to hang 'em dry which is a pain in the neck but better then a wire poking ya.

I hear ya'!Did you ever put one in the dryer and it came out malformed?Like the wire was tied in knots?Happened to my favorite bra, too.

I also have a gripe about not putting them in the dryer. If you DON'T put them in the dryer, they lose a little of their "pick up",if you know what I mean ;) .I have a hard time finding one with enough....um...oomph shall we say :bounce: :bounce: If anyone knows of a good "picker upper" in the "C" region, let me know,ok?

I'd go with the LACE FULL FIGURE BRA from Frederick's;) ;) .......

I don't buy them either even though it seems like 90% of bras have them.

I get to point of if I like the bra I just do a lil " surgery" before wearing bra.

Try washing them in a lingerie bag. The dryer is a definite no-no!

Kim, a manager at work told me about the lingerie bag. I think i'm gonna get one of those. I cant go with no underwire..thats a no no..lol

I haven't put one in the dryer in many years and I haven't had a wire pop out since I started line drying them. I do wash all mine on a very delicate cycle as well and they seem to be holding up much longer now in general.

Well, I never put them in the dryer, but I do wash them with the rest of the clothes. From now on, I will wash them seperately. Thanks for the tip. :)

I've been there done that, but now I either hand wash my bras or put them through the wash on a gentle cycle & never put them through the dryer or out in the sun. I hang them on a clothes airer inside.:p

be there done that got that bra. i like under wire but boy i hve messed a few up. if it bother me to much i do a fire 14 on them.

How do we know Eros hasn't worn one??? ;) ;) ;)

I have to have an underwire. I haven't been without one is so long it feels really weird without it.

But, gentle cycle on cold water and line dry. Heat and bleach will tear them up.
Make sure you close the closure too. It can snag.
