Becky, all you trips sound awesome! We have been the beginning of December many times and Christmas week a few times. The decorations are spectacular! I love it there that time of year. My nieces all compete in Pop Warner up here in MA and my oldest niece actually came in first place last year in the Nationals at Disney. It was so great to be able to be there with her.
We want to go in the fall too. Hopefully i can convince the DH to plan a few trips!

I took the girls to the mall this afternoon to see Santa and have their picture made with him. I was so excited when Claire ran up to him, climbed into his lap, and gave him a big hug!! Last year she wanted nothing to do with him and cried the entire time!!

Great pictures of Santa and the girls. You should do a picture ornament of some kind with your favorite one. It will be a sweet memory hanging on your tree as they grow up.

I love the pictures of the Ally and Claire at Thanksgiving watching the parade We was spent Thanksgiving at home in NY and I couldn't resist going to Macy's to get the Sailor Mickey plush...it's just too cute!! Early December is a great time to be at Disney although it can get crowded. However, Thanksgiving week is far worse. I think that this current week is a great time to go, though because everyone else is usually back to work the Monday after Thanksgiving. The weather is usually on the "colder" side but it's been weird here for the past month...it's been in the 70s and 80s so I haven't even started wearing jeans yet, still in shorts and tanktops! But, despite the oddity, the warmth is still wonderful...it's not as blazing hot as the summer months. Plus, all of the Christmas decorations (as you saw from the HGTV special), are absolutely amazing...there is nothing like Christmastime in WDW. I'm so excited for you and your family to come down December 2010!! Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more about your upcoming trip in May

On a side note, I loved AG when I was younger (they had to be thrown out when our basement flooded back in 1999 from Hurricane Floyd). I had Felicity, Kirsten, Samantha, and a Girl of Today. They were so much fun to play with. I think Kirsten and Samantha were my favorites...mostly because I loved their stories and accessories Hehehe

Can't wait to hear more updates!!!

Thank you soooo much for the December WDW info!! It's VERY helpful!! I am thinking this week next year--that way we don't miss a lot of the Christmas festivities here. What is the normal temp for early December in Orlando?

I always wanted an AG doll but never got one. So now I live vicariously through my girls!!

Thanks Katie!! I was VERY happy that Claire LOVED Santa!! My SIL said taking her to Disney probably helped with the whole character interaction thing!! You know, I'm not sure why she was cracking up so much! I was trying to get pics and the lady working there was bugging me to be sure I was paying for a picture package (they don't let you take pics if you don't buy some). So I realy didn't hear what was going on between Santa and Ally.

So what part does Abby have in the Nutcraker?! That is sooo cool!! I remember going to see The Nutcracker with my aunt in Philadelphia when I was a kid! It's something I'll never forget!!

Thanks Meghan! He really IS a great Santa! He's new this year. I was kind of sad b/c we've had pics with the same Santa every year since Ally was born. I heard he retired this year. He was great, too! Oh well--it just messes up my sense of order!! Hee hee!! Yes, our carousel has lots of animals--we have a cat that has a fish in its mouth!!

Thank you!! Yeah--she immediately spotted that Minnie all the way across the mall and went crazy!! She was so excited! you would have thought it was the REAL Minnie not just a stuffed animal!!

The normal temp for early December should be around the 60s or 50s. However, the weather being unpredictable here throughout the seasons, I'd suggest a lot of layering! We went to MVMCP three times last year...Nov 10. and Dec. 12th and 19th (we love this event and last year was our first time going). Well, the first two times I was absolutely freezing and Dec. 19th was the warmest! I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt comfortably! The weather varies This year we're going on Dec. 11 and 18...I'll let you know how the crowds are, etc. We're not going tonight because we have a passholder shopping event at DTD early tomorrow morning. Right now, it's kind of miserable outside, in the 60s, and it's been raining all day. However, yesterday was gorgeous..70s and sunny! It's unpredictable hehe. I'd say to expect any type of weather and temperatures ranging from the 50s (more at night) to the 70s No matter the weather, December is a lovely time to visit! I prefer November a little more because it's warmer and usually quite lovely outside, but December is wonderful and the Christmas season is in full swing! Hope this has been somewhat helpful! So excited for your trips!

Frankie and I are huge Disney fans and love going there as often as we can, even if just to walk around and explore.

In the meantime, how is planning coming along for your trip in May? Getting sooo close!!!
