Well that upsets ME bc I'll be there that week and would rather not deal with the additional crowds that will bring, but even I knew that date was the most likely choice for the end date so I don't know if it's something that will upset too many other people.

So....no update? My guess is that it is either the paid fast pass (or tiered by resort category like universal) or end of free dining all together. Really, at this point I'd be more surprised if they kept free dining than if they got rid of it.

We couldn't get that lucky that they are getting rid of free dining! If they do maybe we can get back to having some decent restaurants at WDW instead of them all serving food to the lowest common denominator.

If they charge for DME I think it would more likely be in a overall resort fee rather than just for DME. I think that is more likely.

Yeah, I mean, we already pay for DME, it's just baked into the cost. I doubt they would charge for it outright as the whole point is to get you there and keep you there.

The writing has been on the wall for a long time. Can’t charge for extra hours in the evening when you’ve got to make time to offer them for “free”.

It’s a sad state when I’m not even that upset about this announcement because I was bracing myself for worse. Here’s hoping FP+ as we know it and refresh sticks around, at least through October.

What amuses me is that this is completely unconfirmed and yet he acted like Disney was going to make it official and THAT was why he waited to spill it.

Just in the 1 week of October there are 4 nights of ticketed events so very possible. Another thought is sunset is by 7pm by then so cutting evenings saves them a bit on electricity vs sunrise around 8am.
