Yes, they attacked insurgents/terrorists just over the border into Syria so they could not mount attacks against American troops in Iraq. Just like they have done in Pakistan.

It is a shame if the terrorists had children with them. Our troops do not take children to wars. BTW -- The common report after any strike in the middle east is A. There were children killed or B. It was a wedding. I hope not, but it is war. There were children on those airliners that were killed on 9/11. I seem to remember dancing in the streets all over the middle east celebrating those deaths. And over 3,000 others.

I find it curious that, when an alleged, but yet unproven, attack possibly occurs, Syria is screeching like a rooster at sunrise, but when they get the crap bombed out of them by the Israeli's, they do not even utter a peep.

Why? Because if they did, they would be forced to admit to the international community they LIED about their designs on nuclear weapons.

The time to impeach is over. Those preceedings should have been started years ago. All we can do now is hold on and tell the world on November 4 that the American people are tired of this Administration, too.

However if we, as a people, would choose for a third time an administration that would continue the bloody Bush agenda, then we, as a population, are demonstrating to the rest of the world that we pretty much deserve the scorn and fallout that would come from other nations.

Hopefully, in a week and 1/2, Americans will choose wisely.

and nearly 3,000 non combatants were murdered in NY, PA and DC in 2001. Guess what country they were from? No it wasn't Iraq! So your point was???..When we justify the killing of innocent children "there" we devalue the lives of our own!

Sorry Clinton was not impeached for having a good time, he was impeached for purjury, which is a crime. One that he lost his licence to practice law over. You get Bush convicted of a crime, and then come back and talk about impeachement, you not liking him just doesn't cut it.

The strike was conducted to get at Abu Ghadiya, who is described as "a senior al Qaeda leader who has been in charge of the Syrian network since 2005." They've been doggedly after this guy for months. If they had actionable and reliable intelligence, they had to act on it IMO. Of course, at this time there's no official confirmation this strike even took place, let alone what came of it.

Agreed. I am not saying children never die in wars because they do. But people need to keep in perspective that a "women and children were killed" argument is often the first thing said when there is an attempt (successful or otherwise) to get a big fish. And counting on Syria to tell the truth about this is not a good idea, IMO.
