Third time's the charm...karyn's journal

Ugh...not a good day today. Weight was 134.8. The kids REALLY need to start school soon! They have been crazy today. I am worried about selling the house and moving...worried about family illnesses...worried about a friend who is accepting a new job 27 hours away. Too much stress right now. I let it get to me today, and did not eat very well. I could have done MUCH worse, though!! I have noticed that when I am under stress, I gravitate toward starches. Today, it was potatoes.

Breakfast/Lunch-I didn't eat until 10:30, and by then, I was starving! I had some chicken bites from Schwan's and mashed potatoes (instant Hungry Jack made with skim milk). I use that word "some" lightly. I ate much more than I needed.

Dinner-I ate at 5:30. I made some twice baked potatoes (3 small ones) with cheese, light sour cream, and bacon bits. I ate all 3. I should have stopped at 2, or just not made the third one, but they were small. Like a larger red potato.

Tomorrow, I'll make some green beans that I have in the freezer and try to do better. I'm not really stuffed right now, but I could have done better.

My love affair with potatoes continues. I guess I'll get over it soon. On the bright side, at least I'm craving potatoes and not cake! Weight this morning was 134.6. Moving in the right direction. I didn't sleep at all last night, and I have felt awful all day. Fibromyalgia is miserable sometimes. I know the night that I can't sleep precedes and really bad day. I couldn't rest today because the painters were painting the house. It looks really good! They will finish the trim tomorrow.

Breakfast @ 9:00-Hungry Jack mashed potatoes made with skim milk and chicken bites

Lunch @ 3:30-Spam Singles (light) on toast with some baked Cheetos

Snack @ 7:45-Nutrigrain bar and skim milk

Very, VERY stressful day. I could have eaten everything in the house, but I did good. I had to go grocery shopping tonight, and I actually put some things back that I knew I didn't need to have in the house.

Breakfast @ 7:30-Honey Nut Cheerios and skim milk

Lunch @ 11:30-pork tenderloin made in the crockpot and rice with 2 little ears of corn

Dinner @ 4:00-some chicken bites...they are almost gone!!

I went for a walk tonight, but didn't get very far before my legs started hurting too bad to walk. Yesterday and today have been horrible fibro days.

I didn't journal last night. Eating was BAD. I did walk 3 miles and felt a little bit better.

Breakfast-2 Eggo french toast waffles with spray butter

Lunch-leftover pork and rice

Dinner-2 pcs cheese pizza, 2 breadsticks and 3 chocolate breadsticks (they were cut in half)

Needless to say, the scale went backwards. I was at 135.2 this morning.

Wow...rough day. I didn't sleep AT ALL last night for some reason. This fibromyalgia is miserable some days. Everytime I would fall asleep, I'd have a nightmare and wake right back up. We are showing the house tomorrow, and I got up this morning to our newly painted bathroom peeling. We had a spot in the tub/shower that needed repairing. The man came and fixed it, and told me what to do to prime and paint it. I thought I was handy, but I guess not. I could cry. I'm not good at this kind of stuff.

Breakfast-none

Lunch @ 11:30-I made Shepherd's Pie with peas, carrots, 90% lean ground beef (I rinsed it after I browned it), Hungry Jack mashed potatoes made with skim milk, and 2% milk Kraft cheese slices. I didn't eat a whole lot.

Dinner @ 4:30-1 piece of cheese pizza and 1 piece of pepperoni pizza

Snack-a handful of Honey Nut Cheerios snack mix

I walked 2 miles this evening.

Karyn, way to go getting that walk in! And that shepard's pie sounded really healthy, and you got some veggies in so that's good. Just keep hanging in there and do the best you can. You have a lot of stress right now. Have a great weekend and be good to yourself!
