If staying at Vero Beach can you get grocery deliveries there? If you have a vehicle how close would a shopping store be to get meat to grill? Do a lot of families with children go in the summer time or do most go to WDW? With the Ocean and pool right there it is like renting a house on the shore.

I'm an owner at Vero but haven't stayed in a few years. It's not super far to a decent grocery store but not just across the street. Near the town of Vero Beach - Disney Resort is closer to Indian River and a Publix there - anyway there are several options in the town of Vero south of Disney, a Publix and a Walmart, both of which had decent selections last time we went. The stores do show curbside pickup but I don't know about delivery.

When we stay at VB, we grocery shop at the Publix at Indian River, west and just slightly north of the resort on US 1. I think the address is actually Sebastian, and Google Maps indicates 4.3 miles and about 9 minutes from the resort to the shopping center. Nice grocery selection, plus beer and wine for purchase as well. I sometimes wish we had a Publix near us in the Chicago suburbs.

I would not even consider staying at VB without a vehicle. Although we enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar services along with the quick serve food available for the pool deck, we also enjoy a number of restaurants in the area. Most of these are a 5 to 10 mile drive from the resort, and we have a couple of favorites we do every time we stay at VB. With a one- or two-bedroom villa or especially the 3-bedroom beach cottage, it would be very like renting a place on the shore.
